My broker so to speak gets X amount for X $$. His regular customers buy and smoke and enjoy , some even told him to relay the message that the smoke is amazing...Seems he met some new buyer that is tryin to re sell again. He complained to broker that the few remaining sugar leafs need to be taken off before he will buy again.Would you believe my broker actually passed that complaint to me and asked me to take care of it???FUCK YOU!! Was my exact words. See, if I sell you a car pretty damn cheap and you buy it,then you decide to sell it for a profit,YOUR buyer buys it and decides he can profit, then the next buyer complains that it could use new tires for that price???? WTF does that have to do with me??? You were happy with the car when you bought it from me!!! I don't give a damn about where it went from there!!! Sorry for the rant, but this guy is the ONLY that I have ever used or can find without worry. What is your opinion on this topic???I REALLY need some input because that just has me furious.

Well during the argument I did throw that out there. His response was he would just have to get it from someone else.I am in a tough spot and he knows it because he is "my friend" and knows I have no other way to get rid of it.

if he really is the only dude you can trust it has to be for a reason

he relays a message from a customer and you get mad

if he loses customers you lose customers

if you dont have anyone else taking your work how do you know what it is really worth to the average broker?

maybe you need to take your ego down a notch and think about it from alternate perspectives

It sounds like your broker is trying to leverage the situation to his benefit by squeezing you just a little bit.. I fuckin hate pricks like this.. What they don't realize is the damage to goodwill they are doing by trying to squeeze an extra couple of dollars out of an already good deal. It's pack animal mentality 101 and alot of people exhibit it, it's like the drop of blood in the ocean that the sharks zero in on.

Ive been in this spot before.. It sucks but try not to react too hard just brush it off ( no pun intended!) and keep doing your thing.

All the best Useful

Darth:)

give me that sugar leaf I'll make hash
Hey Zep ...I make plenty of hash...I DO trim. Seems as if the other fella wants to see absolutely not a speck of leaf.I say if you find a strain that has no leaves......let me know.We all know some strains are harder to trim than others ....and some ,you gotta leave a bit of sugar or you will end up with nothing almost.

he cant squeeze you if you have others who are willing to buy it for that price

if you don't then you really don't know what kind of deal your giving him and if he ends up losing prospective business and he has any sort of hustle he just might find another supplier you might find yourself having to compromise to gain back his business

also

how much weight do you think your gaining in your sloppy trim?

5%, 10%, 15%, have you ever bothered to qualify it?

do you care about the person at the receiving end of the bag

not to put you on the defensive but there is a bigger picture and other factors to consider before getting offend by his information

Well Weird, notice I actually marked your post as helpful, because it was nice to see that point of view. My ego I think is not the issue. I just for some reason think that if I sell you something, you looked at it ,touched it,smoked it,then purchased it,THEN you sell it to someone else and they ,tested it smoked it and so on,then the next person they try to sell it for even higher $$$ says it could be trimmed better???Ummmmm.

Chill out man, just nod your head and say "sure, I'll take care of it."

Just appease him, it doesn't mean you actually have to do anything different. Some people will bitch no matter what you do, even if you trim it better, they will likely come up with something else. "its too dry" "its too wet" "too much stem" "blah blah blah, whine whine whine"

You are not putting me on the defensive at all. I have been doing this with him for over 3 years with not 1 complaint, seems this new fella wants to make alot of money off the shit I sell my broker on the cheap. And my trim job has also not been an issue til now.

its about your ego because you cant see it from a brokers perspective

it seems very frustrating that these guys can make a good buck so quick when your end takes so long but the risk you take in time they take in exposure to many people

they fact that you dont have other outlets doesn't give you a good idea if your getting the better or worse of it

keep good brokers happy cause they are your life blood to safe money

what would you do if he fell off the face of the earth?

Good advice there Sam. I just don't understand Sam how if,I came to you and was happy with what I got from you, then I sell that to others that were happy.....then they sell it and then the price comes into ??? Should I come to you and bitch about it???I THINK NOT!!!

Yeah,I'm pretty damn pissed....but I DO see your point. I am a grown man and can admit certain things. If somethin happened to my guy ???? I would NOT be gettin rid of anything. I JUST DO NOT LIKE BEING PINCHED!!!WTF

UI: I'd do what sam says and then start putting out feelers for a new broker. The guy thinks he has the upper hand. But just wait until the day he comes by and you have nothing for him because another guy was happy for price and quality.

Heck, if you can afford it, I'd say to act like you have a new broker on board and tell your old friend he has to wait in line...
