Hard to beat the BB when all her needs are met..ECSD comes close but takes so much longer..The MP x NYCD is close too but maybe not quite so elite..Funny cuz I started the day with 6 month+ cured BB that a friend grew.Smells JUST like BB's too..Blame her for the dbl post..lol

Vado an buddle thanks for the praise. appreciate everything..

ya big yeilds. longest trim i had in years. over 40 man hours split up. looks like i will be getting a trimmer before next time.

Of a few things ,What intrigues me most of the BB is her smell. her smell is unique, atleast to me.

She also had this extra Bubble of growth at each branch off the main stalk. its Like she knows she packs on weight, an she beefs up her branch support. never seen such extensive over engineered branch support . very interesting. LOL.

Not to mention the killer high! Relaxed euphoria describes it perfectly. I've got a couple grams left I've been saving and savoring, some truly awesome herb. :joint:

Gman looking wonderful amigo, 40 hours of trimming!?!?:dance013:I bet your total weight is gonna be more than you expected. Also the MP x NYCD you nailed that stuff right on the head, take a couple hits and your buzzing around being productive take 3-4 hits and you still moved around just with a lot more confusion. Also can't wait to see how that chem sis turns out for ya, if your loving the MP and blueberry I think the sis is gonna make you do back flips. Just think of this too, it was only your first run with the blueberry too it's only gonna get better as you continue to grow her maybe 50 hours of trimming next time :)...... :tiphat:

Ya otto 40 hours, not any newbie trimmers either. like to try to keep buds tight, but theres that point when you have to let things slide. enoughs enough. 3 lights this run, thats why things lead to longer trim times . last years things where perpetual. either room one harvest was 2 600's, then room ones 1000. or room 2 with two 600's. 20 days in between perpetual. things change, way off timing this year. looking forward to running a serious ep an mp x nycd run before things get to warm. preplaning that 80 days out from now. LOL. The mind never rests... till next time b-safe...

small update

small update

took down both stadiums. running larger plants, mostly 2 per bucket. unsure about the yield difference just yet. The bb last run was productive plant.

any case. 22 buckets, 2 6's an 1 1000. 1 controller on left an another controller on right.

rocking a few days of veg before the flip, want them fuller. should be a week or so. these were day 1 or 2 of 24hr light.

then the 2nd room is 2 600's, 7ft hood. top drip 24/7. possibly 4 gallon square containers placed in 5 gallons. VERYYYYYYYYY simple 1/2 hose running down the line, two separate 1/4" barb elbows feeding each bucket. larger mag pump is the key to no clogs. in light of reading otto's post elsewhere, im running 2 different nutes. my standard 6/9 micro bloom ,then additives an pk. an then off day running 5mill of flornova bloom with 5 mill call mag. see how things work out.

They grow the fastest out of any system i've ran, including faster then when i ran dwc!!, (maybe, was 4-5 years ago?)

Looking nice gman,

What are you running this round, the BB again or something else? Either way it looks real good, I gotta try one of those hydro systems one of these day, I enjoy growing different methods and i'd like to try something like this in the near future, i'll be looking forward to the updates

hey otto, you should try the top drip, man is it easy. an usually there is no messing arround with ph unless u see issues. but they normally just run fine. Also trying no airstones this round, one less thing to incorporate.

In the 7 ft hood theres ep's an blues. the other room is CJ, EP, Blueberry and MP X NYCD. EP taking around 50%of the bucket space.

time to trim the top drip system an lay in the netting. low head height in this perticular area. i can already tell they vegged for to long.

drie bud shots..

drie bud shots..

Finally sat down one unsober night an setup the camera an tripod. I should of have had more lighting in the area, but its been awhile, an i forget these things. Ended up getting 15 or so good clear shots.

Heres the MP X NYCD, from annac genetics. Gifted this way, thank you...

reminds me of some of the casey's I had a few years back. when i had to sort thru 9 or so females. There where some larger diesel leaning phenos i had, but they lacked the trichs, an i stuck to the more trainwreck phenos i had.

This MP X NYCD reminds me of them, BUT she does not lack the trics. Huge yield, large colas, she can hold her weight. Clones easy. Veg easy. Purps up.Takes nutes very well an easy to grow. She seem more excepting of higher temps next to a bare bulb.

Racey high for me. Clear headed an you like to get things done.

Unfortunately none of the close up macros came out focused. Next time .. you can see all the crystals that fell onto the black plastic. B-safe

Just wanted to step up and show respect for a job well done and apologize for just now seeing a pm bout ionic properties in nutrients....

Bro...I learned from the best way back when using base nutes only and followed blindly without knowing why for many yrs cuz it worked , so asking me ain`t a good thingy.....

Bobbles in Vert section knows....He`s da man on why this shit works.....I`m just fillin in the gaps from personal experience from an old fart`s trial and error point of view.....

Peace...DHF....:ying:....

ya dhf, its weird, cause alot of things are happening throughout. An u can run a run following a schedule throughout a flower cyle, with good results , an never know why!!. why change what works right??

The whole lucas sched way of feeding changed alot for me. Watching the plants, learning the nutes, watching the cycle. the changing environment. the plants cycle make me question things as to what i can change, or realize to make things better for the current situation. I havent checked on bobbles threads, but will.

vert an parabolics go hand an hand. no reason for lumens to bounce around the room.

now if i can only get the camera to focus..

blueberry..

blueberry..

kitsym an gonzo ,Glad you enjoy the thread.

Onto the blueberry. Not sure of its orgin. maybe someone can pm me on that?? Another gifted cut, thank you again...

The blueberry rocked the buckets. Huge yields. When i was trimming all i can smell was blueberry jam with almost that haze musky undertones.

had some monster colas, an alot of them. was nervous cause of the size, then the dead leaves being pulled in from the flush, thought i might have had some mold issues. But i didnt. i cut the colas in a couple pieces to be on the safe side.

She grew different throughout the garden. some minimal areas she was lankier, some areas she was stockier an denser looking like an indica.one thing i can say i believe some of the variation was due to heat from the bare bulbs. the close buds to the bulb, the more foxtail. after a 2ft radius from the bulb things were different.

Overall great plant. she grew easy in the system. wonderful smell an taste. Dont think shes moving from the garden for some time.Ohh and did i forget to mention, Lol, HUGE yeilder. I may have gotten my best weight to light ratios to date. Def over 2 p's per 600, i might even say 2 1/4,2.5 . usually those numbers come from the 1000!!

At first glance she looks somewhat like the mp x nycd. but her calyxes are more enlongated, like a tear or rain drop. Almost Kush. Calyxes are not as round as the mp's. an the buds are abit denser. great trich coverage too.

enough blabing....

Blueberry.

EP

EP

Then there was the Early Pearl. She came out pretty well but she def seemed to lack her taste this run. kinda limey pinsol tasting. trich coverage always above average. She probably came out a 7 out of 10 on my ep scale, compared to last runs of her.

always impresses me.

Some years back before i received this cut i tried a few different dj short pack of blues, i dont remember exactly which ones. i also tried some of the spice of life blues I got from seedbay or boo. in fact i think one of the spice of life packs was a djshort an sol collaboration. I did not find anything worth keeping out of 4 packs an close to 30 sprouted seeds. Not to say none of them were worth running, just wasnt worth keeping a cut, an wanted to search for more, but i eventually moved on. Then this cut came to me. What i have been told is this cut is a pre 2k dj short blueberry. Not sure if it originated in new england or was brought here. An thats about it all the info i have. Good luck in you quest , u never know what you can find. That EP im running came form bag seed. b-safe..
