Yo GO, ya got your PMs, much appreciated brother. So the paint strainers are used to catch all the leaf and trim correct?? That's why the OP encourages very light mixing, so as not to break plant matter into too many small pieces. There's no 45u to catch the good resin, and let the stalks, small fragments pass through

Just making sure I got my head wrapped around it properly :wave:

If so, I may pick up a single 45u bag to catch all my good resin, and use anything that falls through for medibles... Pics look like some fine bubble ;)

Yeah you mix your ice and trim/buds (I remove all the stems from the mix and grind up the buds to a point) together in a bucket lightly with a mixer bit for about 30mins. Then you take that and dump it into a relatively clear or white bucket with the strainer in it and then just pull the strainer out and squeeze out as much of the water as you can. Put that bucket aside and let the trichs settle to the bottom. You can run the trim a few more times as well and get several grades that way, the first run is going to be the high grade and most clean stuff. Once you have let the buckets settle then you can siphone out the water and it will leave you with the hash. Scrap that out and put it on a pyrex dish and let it dry out. I use a seedling heatmat for help speed up the drying process a bit. Once its dried a good bit you can start working it together into big pieces.

Its really easy to do it this way. I usually grab strainers from Lowes or Home Depot, they both work well. Nothing passes through them except for the trichs.

Probably gonna be the last grow update here in the lounge. I feel like I've got this pod figured out, and you'll be able to catch the midnight madness over in HOL's forum (check the sig mang)... No need to keep postin' more of the same :tiphat:

I'll still keep ya'll updated on my toying with tinctures and the soon to run bubble hash, and you can catch me here, but pic updates will be few and far between most likely (at least in this thread ;)). Other than the final dry shots for this crop, and hopefully a dry weight if it's respectable :dance013:


I wanna thank you all for joining me for this ride in the lounge. You guys all make it fun spending time here, otherwise I'd be talking to and playing with myself and I'm only so entertaining :moon:

Fuck bags. This may take the place of my daily iso dabs I like it so much atm... Solvent free makes me smile, definitely.

Gonna do a run here with frozen/dry/cured popcorn buds and see if it comes out as nice as the fresh/frozen. If it does, I need to go buy some more paint strainers ;)

Anyone ever tried rehydrating dried buds before the freeze, so you get more of a fresh/frozen run even with the dried and cured buds?? Not even sure if it makes that much of a difference yet, but the thought has crossed my mind.

Told you homie!!! I dont have any intrest in bags, I just go grab those and rock that shit out. You get some serious pulls with it and its high grade. And yes its sooooo much cleaner tasting no doubt.

I usually let my trim and bud dry out good and just chop it up real good before I run it. I found I was knocking alot more trichs off like that. I also dont use alot of full leafs either as they cause problems. More bud the better. :D

So happy my suggestion and method worked out for you so well. Least I could do homie. :D

Dude, no joke. Got a big old loopy grin over here on my face.

Even better to hear you get great runs with dry too. Much easier to deal with that way IMO.

Hand mixed this first run, and collected the herb afterwards. I think I'm going to use it in coco ticture after an ISO wash. Still gotta clean my tools and whatnot, but I have a feeling my smoked QWISO intake is about to go down drastically, and will be used almost exclusively for second runs, cleaning plates, jars and razorblades :dance013:

Sounds just like me. :D Only reason I am making QWISO or BHO is for my vape pen. Otherwise I will take bubble any day especially made that method. Everyone that has tried it loves it too. My buddy who told me the method says the clinic he deals with only buys his bubble hash.

Dry is definitely the way to go to get a good pull. Just makes sense.

Been smoking the bubble for a little while now.

The dry run, a lot better yield, but not quite as melty. Melts fine over a screen with a BIC, but vaped on the TI pad doesn't quite work as well... Thin, airy hits.

I still have a sweet spot in my heart for ISO, but have definitely made some room for the bubble now ;)
