BB LST in upturned casket

well not really a casket, but it sure does look similar:




decided to use a 150w hps, since i had 8 lying around from a sweet CL score! 100 for all 8, but one needed a starter, one needed a transformer, and one needed a new bulb (all will be replaced with new ones).

here's the cab as i recieved it:


added the hps, with a sealed, air-cooled hood:


chopped an 8 inch hole in the bottom, and put a sub speaker cover over the opening. i then added a 1.5 inch highriser to serve as the base of the cabinet:





here is the cab running with some former ogkush(bless their souls ). you can also see the DIY carbon scrubber, made from a gutted 120mm pc fan, filled with carbon and used screen mesh to hold it together. the smaller pc fan on the right, is connected to the light exhaust, so it doesn't run when lights are off. just the grow chamber exhaust is on constantly.

day 3:




week 1 flower. feeding 15ml/gal of PBP bloom, and a drop of superthrive:


this strain has made me love the LST training method. im happy that i found this method to be exceedingly good on this lady:


and this is middle week 2. feeding 17.5ml PBP grow, and a drop of superthrive:


the end of week 2 will be very interesting. im wondering when the stretch slows, which should be at middle week 2, if im going to be over grown in my cab.

just as i feared, my girl has another 4 inches to go till sh touches the light! i lst'd her as wide as the cab will allow. would it be okay to add a screen, and hope for the best? i dont want to run out of space, and i feel it is inevitable.

At this stage a screen probably won't help you much. You have some pretty fat leaves there so your stretch should be done in a week or so..tie her down as much as you can. I think you can pull this off.

thanks for the advice! tied her again, and super cropped a few branches. i should be fine for the remainder, like you said warped! this is my first grow where I'm in total control, but this bitch has gotten out of control! i was looking at my past grows, and figured this would be the same, but I'm getting all excited seeing this plant explode. i have a better hold on nutes, ph, and light. this cab has proven to be a sweet little machine. my temps have been steady at 78, and i thought that going in the closet would really heat things up. i really like the BB strain, really up heady high, good social smoke. can clean the house in an hour smoke!

-16"wx12"dx32"h
-1.3sqft

-2.5 inch exhaust for air cooled 150w hps
-12v squirrel cage fan for grow chamber air exchange
-4 inchx1.5inch DIY carbon scrubber
-8 inch passive intake in floor


Light specs:
remote ballasted 150w HPS. air-cooled light and ballast

Method of growing:
single plant this run. next run are two OGK and a BB. so i really dont have a set method, as i still dont know what works best in this cab

day 17 flower:

feeding: 19ml PBP bloom, and a drop superthrive.

so were here for an update! the growth has slowed a little, and there are budsites galore!!!! i had to do some super cropping to keep her low. she was already looking better the next day. budsites in the air



i can already notice the difference using cal mag this grow as well. they have looked great so far, nice color, great growth.

I'm still in decision about what grow style to go with. I can run 9 plants in some coffee bags, a single plant, or scrog of some type. I haven't looked too much into going vertical, because. There would only be 6 inches in between the bulb and walls.

ordered one from work, pretty kick ass! we use them in the restrooms, and there have been some bombs, and no stink within a minute!

its also the "neutral" scent. maybe the chemicals to create the "neutral" scent have a greater affect on certain odors?? well it works amazing, paired with the carbon filter. i just placed it above my carbon scrubber, and exhaust. my entire room has that kind of new smell to it. like when you move to a new place, or whatnot.


so i have been doing some veg light schedule changes, as well. i'm doing a trial rum of using the 12-1, light schedule. its goes like:

12 on, 5.5 off, 1 on, 5.5 off, repeat

the look to be stretching a bit, but its been about 4 days, and no major flowering signals. test resumes.

im using hand sewn smart pots that are tall and narrow. about 4 inches diameter, and about 10 inches tall. they definitely like the vertical root space!!

day 26 report. starting to become frosty and starting to smell of blueberries, after she had been moved around a bit

all's well still. this box has been an extremely efficient machine . i only look at her every 2 days or so, cause it stays at 78 with lights on, and 65 at lights out.

just had a nice piece of toast with some cannabutter, and that was 3 hours ago. i love this shit!!!

i cant wait to see how this goes in the next 5 weeks. ive not had a plant this big ever! i owe that to this forum, and its supporters! thanks a ton!


im really taking a liking to growing! its kinda a time consuming hobby, overtaking your body like a bong hit to the head. im coo though.
