Thanks, Simon. I was just telling Mrs. Ahab that I feel I need a new camera that takes better macros.
Icon, that bubblicious x blueberry sounds interesting.

Just put three seeds of Bubblicious in a glass of water tonight along with three seeds of the Bubblicious x SwtC99 cross. Got em' on top of the cable box to keep warm. Thinking about using the Hempy bucket method this time around.

I guess Ill continue on here as things develop.

Very nice. I love seeing great results from cheap beans.

You say you let the second (12/12 from seed) BBL go 70 days. Was that 70 days from seed or from sexing?

Nice looking plant either way

I let it go about 70 days after sexing, happycamper.
Total time from germination to chop was about 80- 85 days. Im sorry my timeline is not exact.
It looked ready to pick at about 60 days but letting it go a little longer really improved the smell and quality of the high.
I gave a small thumb size bud to a co-worker yesterday. He had it in his pocket all day and it stank up the whole room.
Another guy came into the building and said he smelled"dank Diesel" as he put it.
It smells more like candy coated skunk to me. My olfactory sense is a bit shot so it is hard for me to pin down but the extra few days on the growing cycle sure allowed the characteristics of this particular plant to shine.

Two Bubblicious and one Bubblicious x SweetestCindy99 poked their heads up out of the ground while I was at work today.

As of last night all six seeds have successfully poked their little green heads out of the soil.
The three Bubblicious x SWC99 sprouts are twice the height of the Bubblicious seedlings. They have doubled their height in the last 5 hours.
Ive got them starting in Espoma seed soil. No extras added. Using tap water. Room temp holding steady at 75-78 F. Under two 40 watt GE florescent grow bulbs .
Im going to stick to these 6 plants for now. With the fem'ed Bubblicious I know I have at least three female plants growing. Im expecting some new seeds in 2-3 weeks. Holding off starting any more until the new beans arrive.

DId I mention I have:
-2 Nirvana White Widow Fem
-2 Nirvana Papaya Fem
babies? Just 1 week and they are at 6 sets of nodes
I have yet to sprout my Bubblicious or AK48 fems
I really like Nirvana and their products. Pretty much a complete package there. They may not have some (most) exotic strains... but what they have has been good to me so far.
I LOVE Weekend WHOPPERS! * I really want to try the Aurora, Snow White, Sterling Haze and Royal Flush someday.
I also recently sprouted:
-1 GHS Trainwreck
-1 Bagseed Headband
-1 Bagseed Blue Dragon

I love how fast those sprouts reach up

BTW -
Cap, that vigor can be a sign of Male, if they are not femmed seed. Maybe tag it as a suspect? Or else you got some good GREEN thumb there ;)

I like guessing at which are M/F right at sprout. I am not usually correct though. I have @ 95% female from seed. Just my luck ..lol
peace

Six sets of nodes at one week? You got me beat.

I've also considered that the early vigor may be an indication of their being male but dismissed that thought since past experience has proven to me otherwise.

The three Bubblicious seedlings have almost caught up with the three BBL x SWC99 seedlings at this point so now it's a waiting game before we can see if the crossed beans are boys or girls.

Update.
Ive decided to use the Hempy bucket method on this grow. All are happy since being transplanted into the buckets. They were feeling a bit cramped in the Solo cups and love their new homes.
Here is one of the feminized Bubblicious plants as of today.

Thanks, Green Sky. This is all new to me . Ive always done soil grows. We will see how this turns out.
Ive got some new beans from Grindhouse that will be my next grow and I think I will be using soil on those just because that is what Im used to and confident with. I dont want to screw them up as they are also used for meds. I give to a couple of people.
So bear with me. We will all see how Capt.Ahab's hempy experiment goes. Hopefully it wont be disappointing.

Here they are as of two days ago.
All plants have been FIM'ed or topped.

The three Bubblicious plants along with a couple of the others have started to flower even though I still have them in veg. mode.
Looks like 12/12 flower schedule can start soon

12/12 started two days ago. All three Bubblicious plants are cranking. My FIM and trim attempts have created nice bushes with multiple tops.
