Wouldn't surprise me if president Paul runs into the same thing Obama ran into when attempting to prosecute KSM in NYC - half the apparatus said no.

if paul gets in a lot more than half apparatus will be saying a lot more than no.

So ron paul is still the only viable candidate who won't arrest us for weed right?
Amen bro!

The best part about Ron Paul is he fixes so much more. End the Wars. Save a trillion year 1 and balance the budget in 3 years, Reduce income tax to 0% or very close, 15% corp tax rate down from 35%, and 0% capital against tax, eliminate federal gas tax of 18.4 cents per gallon, ELIMINATE NDAA, SOPA, Patriot Act are extremely dangerous and Gov't mandates lead to unwanted MAN DATES as the prisons fill up. Make SS, Medicare/caid solvent, End Sarbanes Oxley, and GIVE YOU YOUR FREEDOMS BACK!

People need to stop looking at a President as a fix all for the nation. Our President was not put in place to TELL US HOW TO LIVE or HOW TO ACT.

Individual Liberty is only possible with Individual Responsibility

For our country to change WE need to change and no matter what President we put in place will not move our country in the direction that is needed.

What is needed IS our constitution back.

The federal government is not here to take care of us, feed us, educate us or save us from ourselves. The same goes for the President BUT if Ron Paul were elected... what that would allow however is HUGE CHANGE worldwide starting with the removal of ALL OF OUR bases around the world FINALLY!

For the US to stop nation building around the world would odds are slow down a TON of the hostility that is being aimed at us. People are not attacking us because we are free, do you feel free? I sure as hell don't!

We need to end the drug war, obama couldn't do it but I KNOW Ron Paul can and will. He has not ever flip flopped on that issue like obama and the rest of those politicians. Ron Paul has said the same thing for 30 years which is FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION and let people live as they see fit as long as they understand what individual liberty and individual responsibility really mean.

Unelectable? Don't vote for him and you will make the msm's dream come true!

Ron Paul for President!

So what are the concrete limitations of "promote the general welfare"? There's no "live as we see fit" clause in the Constitution.

Freedom of expression, the freedom to keep and bear arms, the freedom (of and from) religion and taxation with representation are not words that indicate anything more than what they say.

"Responsibility"... is this word even expressed in the Constitution? Sounds more like the 20th/21st century argument against tort laws.

see amendment 10
viewed through this prism...
THE Conventions of a number of the States having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best insure the beneficent ends of its institution

Americans aren't ready for a solution, but....

my hope is it will be non-violent. the world economy will collapse leaving govts with no money to fund ALL the BULLSHIT we currently pay for (including over funded leos).

it will be painful for Americans since we are an instant gratification society, but Americans better learn how to fend for themselves. i personally belief there is a economic collapse coming and then all hell will break lose.

once people learn how to take care of themselves again, they won't take the shit they currently take from DC...

I dont disagree with this, but that perspective is more of a prediction. Try to do something about it now. Giving up should never be an option. That is how I see it. Everyone chooses their own options, but I think if you try to do something about it, it is the better option for all of us as a country. We all gotta live here together so we need to work this shit out one way or another.

We once took care of ourselves before we invented enemy combatants. Remove this element from the world and we remove it from our own legacy.

If we prefer to keep military commissions for enemy combatants, we deserve the same unfortunate outcome.

We were held in international regard for promoting human rights, not American citizen rights over those of other nations. The Geneva Conventions established international laws that are to be applied without prejudice.
