theres a thread complaining about seed prices every few months.....ENOUGH COMPLAINING. if you dont want to pay the price, dont pay it!!

some people are willing to pay the price, not their fault you cant afford, not the breeders fault either. if alien puts out a pack of seeds and somebody out there is willing to pay 500 bucks for a pack good for them.....people spend that kind of money on the hopes that they find a really nice keeper pheno that they can commercial crop and make real money off.....sorry but some 15 a pack white widow cross isnt going to fetch top dollar on the finished product, while some alien kush will fetch hundreds more per unit, and when your pushing 20 lights every couple hundred dollars per pack matters......thats too bad for you smalltime growers, so pheno hunting through expensive gear isnt your thing, go get friendly with someone with clones and skip the whole damn process then!

you can find keepers in cheap packs..but for the most part you get what you pay for. ive bought 40 dollar a pack seeds off the bay that i wish i never grew, waste of space in my trays....and i will never grow most of the random freebies they have thrown in either...i have so many strains on deck that i had to axe some pretty elite ones from the line up that most people would keep...

bottom line is, if you arent slick enough to get connections yourself on good genes, and you dont wanna pony up for good gear, then be happy with your 20 a pack big bud skunk cross lol.......you dont even need to pop beans or spend money to get good genetics, half my garden were obtained free of charge..

Although I think I "feel" what peeps are saying for top breeders prices, I have to agree with Yes.....I can get just about almost "Any" genetic within a 2 hour drive of my house. Now YES I happen to be *very* geographically blessed and I have a 20+ years of hanging in the hills of Santa Cruz where breeders like Sam the SKunkman and others you never heard of are abundant.

But to be honest I have yet to not be able to locate a certain "cut" if I really want it....except the Tahoe OG Kush cut...that one still aludes me.

Yes for prop215????? With that name you obviously understand, right??? I am NOT talking about commercial growers. I am more speaking out for the small folks who want to be self reliant. You cannot honestly tell me that seed companies are in this to help the poor and disabled with their meds. The $$$ has clearly gotten in the way. Nothing anyone can say will change that FACT!!!

oh shit!!! that sucks!!!

didnt know there was a WRONG green light....

Oh yeah Krunch their just PAINTED green but their UV light is the same if you just left the light on, and I have some "touchy" hybrids and I got about 1.5 lbs of dank and stoney yet seeded Tangerine Haze, it's either BHO/budder fodder or I sell it veryyyyy cheap ..lol well lesson learned.

How you doing bro? You've been posting a bunch lately!

The only complaint I have is paying the price and getting mediocre plants at best from breeders that are supposed to be at the top of there game. There customer service is none existent and we get blamed for the issues.. when I dish out that kind of cash I want great service if I have issues..

280 packs of 5 seeds @100 for 5 seeds=28,000$
Very well said Hammer.:thank you:

I don't see a problem with the seed prices. I remember flipping through HT back in '01 or so and seeing the crazy prices for seeds in that Kind Seed advertisement. When I discovered the Boutique, I was in love. There are always good deals to be had, not to mention FREE SEEDS with your order. Once you get past the hype (by 'you', I don't mean anyone in particular), there are real gems to be had for amazing prices. Also don't forget about test grows. Breeders are always looking for capable people to try out their stuff.

spread them cookies far and wide for free :)

too bad there too much money tied up in the name for that to ever happen. what ever happened to sharing the weed? if im not mistaken it was easier to get "elite" seeds and clones before weed went medical across half of america.

i never said seed companies were using prop 215 to help "medical patients" its obviously for profit....every industry is for profit, and most dont even offer "freebies". you dont go to the gas station and say "shit i dont wanna pay 4 bucks a gallon, il just buy the 50 cent a gallon gas".....at least seedbay offers freebies and cheap beans from the server fund!

what you are really complaining about isnt the seed industry, but capitolism in general..you are complaining about people trying to make money.....come on man dont you know! we need to stack money for them ferraris and trips to portugal and shiet knnawmmmsayin?? (read the last sentence in j-rocs voice)

seed over $50 is too much and definitely over $100, and I agree it would be nice if all seed breeders did it for the herb only, sold just enough over cost to pay essential bills and costs, and gave any profits to charity. Unfortunately, many are greedy and if people will pay, you cannot stop them. I wish you could but you can't. I remember sticker shock when I first viewed pot seed prices. When I rarely paid over $3 for flower or veggie seeds and thought over $5 was outrageous, even a $20 pack seemed like highway robbery. But like many say, there are good prices for good seeds to be had.

i think there should be some sort of price cap on un-tested beans. I think seed lines should have 5 or more fully documented test grows; and not just 5-6 seeds per test. Or one big test grow of 30+ seeds per line.

I think "breeders" are charging more to make up for the fact that gypsy gets 40%+ of the sale.

I say we all become breeders and drive the prices down ourselfs. Any pack of seeds can be hit or miss. Plus everyone is using other breeders genetics to come up with there own... y not do the same... the cali conn boy were talking about a million dollar room they had with 8 females and 1 male.. that's wrong. In everyway. ... the solution lies in us, with out stolen genetics there would be no cali conn. Everyone would be rocken there landrace seeds
