Great thread GMax. I only run a small hobby room, but I enjoy seeing what goes into a serious room. IMO I don't believe you have enough pvc to cause any significant problems. The CO2 issue is worth keeping an eye on, since if its a furnace issue, CO will be present also. Good luck bro, it looks like you have everything well thought out.

Been a while since i updated i havent had much new....

I had 2 batches in a row of clones mysteriously not root after 9 days which never happens to me

turned out my pH pen has gone bad..i was making nutrients and for fun i decided to check the pH and it was way off and my nutes are always pH perfect...so i went out and bought a pH dropper and checked against it and proved my theory

My cloners were full of water that was below 4.0 pH!!!

Now that i got that under control, i took a fresh batch of clones and I am just playing the waiting game now...

on a good note my moms that i am flowering out are doing great !!

the stretch is over so i cut the humidity down to 50% i also been burning 1800w and with the extra dehumidifier work i am maxing out at 81F

well i finally got clones to root... since i am already farther behind than i want to be i am in no rush...

i am gonna leave them in the cloner for 2 more days to get their root system developed then i will transplant them over to the veg and let them explode for a couple days before moving them to the coolers and flowering them out

by the time all this happens i should have my second batch of clones ready and my moms should be ready for another trim...then i plan on harvesting every 6-7 days for the rest of the year !!!!


on a bad note, i am officially out of weed until my moms are done (3 1/2 wks) which is devastating.....for the first time in a while i am out seeing what my area has to offer and it is nothing but BS...ppl want 400/z for seedless reggie with a fancy name, so i am gonna save my money w/e makes me appreciate my skills more....


here are a few pics of my moms... the two that are farther along are bout to get their first koolbloom treatment and then flushing til harvest...they are not connected together so i have been changing the nutes everytime i have topped off with 2gal

i germinated 4 more seeds with 100% success and i have already transplanted 2 into waterfarms..hopefully i get couple females to use as new moms

temps have been hitting 84 by the end of the day with no intake/exhaust..just recirulating radiator/chiller...most of the heat is coming from my dehumidifier ....i want to cool it down i just havent decided which route to take....

i could run the cooler DTW but honestly i feel like that would make it too cold during lights on i got about a 10 deg difference in water temp to air temp....my tap is 50 degrees

i could replace the dehumidifier with a small (5000btu) AC to dehumidify and cool so i can get two birds stoned at once...plus i can have it mounted outside the grow so it would be a simple one box AC with no additional fans and uses about the same amount of power as my dehumdifier

or i can add intake and exhaust since i would be intaking Co2-rich air into the room, my growroom ppm are always between 1000-1200ppm....gonna start with this option and see how it works and then go from there if needed

well thats it for now been busy so havent had a chance to update

Needta find a way ta mount your dehuey thru the wall and seal it.....same thing with the a/c......

Once your ambient room temps go up the plant`s transpiring/sweatin more raisin the humidity makin your dehuey work even harder so it`s a no win kinda thingy I`ve preached about for yrs.....

Adding the active intake and exhaust while exchanging room air twice per minute will help guaranteed , but yas still got heat problems unless yas mount the a/c unit thru the wall as said above.....then ...check your rh....you still might need the dehuey in late flower.....especially at night/lights off......

Runnin hydro setups also puts a buncha moisture in the air , and that`s why I went with lung rooms many yrs ago to dial and control what temps and relative humidity I pumped into and sucked outta every room....

hey thanks freds... the active intake has helped a little bit.. my room temps will reach 82 by the end of the day which i am ok with.. my humidity stays at about 45 during the day and 50 at night.... i plan on running drain to waste in the summer and i am confident that i will have better temps then.. I might even start that a little sooner but i need to get some money together first, i am broke right now but only few more weeks.... i will need a faucet timer so i only waste 12hrs of water a day


i got some clones veggin right now... i am in no hurry but roots are growing fast so prob like 5 more days max..




I got my first system ready to go... just waiting on clones.. the mom on the right is a week ahead of the one on the left..the left on is my personal fav




here is a few shots of my moms on day 30...plan on harvesting on on day 50 and letting the other go a week or so more...trying to stretch the harvests out over a month so i will have bud and make enough to sustain myself until i am taking down my first tower crop...after that everything is on schedule and running as planned

they arent too bad not as healthy as i wish but they have been through a lot....they have been veg for nearly 10 months and barely survivied "hiding" during the walkthrough...i am grateful just to even be harvesting bud from them...started flushing them tonight

I got my first batch of clones good enough to flower out..


I would like to give them a little longer veg but i am ready to get the ball rolling. I am already vegging the next batch and i got roots coming through on the one after that so i am ahead of schedule.

been busy lately and neglecting my thread... I harvested two of my moms. and got a litlle under 4.5z which i am happy with..havent got to smoke any of my own bud in over a month. still have one more mom still going for another week or so.. i had a batch of clones not do so well so i cleaned my cloner and now it all good the next system i fill will only have 5 clones but i wont lose anything flowering them out .. other than that everything is starting to run smoothly now

I have 3 out of 8 systems setup and full....



My oldest one is on day 23..she filled out pretty well




this one is missing a few spots but i only had enough to take 12 clones at the time and luckily 11 rooted..some better than others though



and this one is my youngest on day 2 and my best one so far





and here is a few shots of my last mother.. she has already begun flushing

sorry guys it been a while... i was outta town for a min and i broke my digital camera

unfortunately i got more bad news than good at the moment

first off... about 3 weeks ago when i was taking pictures i left the lights on in my flowering room for 48 hours straight...damn.. it only affected my oldest crop....it should be harvest day today but it looks like it needs another week minimum so i be waiting a little longer for some good bud but on the plus side i have the option to harvest 2 crops at once or let the other go longer which lets others after go longer as well

second.... i went to check on my plants this morning and found this...


that WAS my best crop so far lol.... i changed the reservior the morning before and i unplugged the pump.. i usually change it without unplugging it but i wanted to wipe out the inside and of course i forgot to plug it in...went a little over 24 hours w/o water

this marks the first major crop loss i have had since i started using these systems back in like '08....i have had a few accidents in the past but they always bounced back but i dont think these will....the three in the bottom are fine and some may still survive but definately suffered some ... i am gonna assess the damage tomorrow and remove anything that is not gonna make it...put the pump plugs next to the exit so i can check it everytime before i leave so this never happens again

can only blame myself really

and third, ever since plants started hitting mid flower the humidity has been higher....running my dehumidifier again but my temps are up like 6 degrees because of it...maxing out at 84F again...humidity at 55...once i have money together the first thing on my to-do list is to hook the radiator up DTW then it be able to handle anything


the only good news i have is that the one on the left is a new female Sour Bubble mom..gonna have her in rotation soon ..one on right still unknown...gave them more food today cause they are eating like crazy


I have 6 out of 8 systems up and running now... i will be doing an octagon this year instead of a hexagon hoping to increase my numbers, shorten the time between crops, and increase my yeild.... if i can get the same numbers as last year with 8 systems then i will be at a gpw


here is what is in there now..all these crops are 9 days apart..once i have 8 i will cut that down to 6-7 days...
they are also in order L to R youngest to oldest...the one next to the dead ones only has 5 plants that i had extra...dont mind it was done purposely...cant get all 6 systems in one picture

i will be building 2 more new coolers in the next weeks...once i have all 8 built and i got the radiator running DTW i will begin construction on room #2...i have made some pre-planning changes to my new system idea and i think i got all the kinks worked out and i think i will prefer my new system over my coolers

well i finally got my radiator hooked up DTW...it is doing much better than before and keeping my temps at 74F ..unplugged my chiller and started running my dehumidifier 24/7 and my humidity is slowly creeping back down, it is currently at 55%

glad that i have done this because last week i was choosing between temps in the low 80s and humidity at 85% or temps in the high 80s and humidity in check

the only issue i am having so far with it is that i have a 4way manifold on my nearest water supply and i am trying to run the radiator and my RO system from the same faucet but the radiator is stealing water pressure from my RO

I am turning it off manually until i get a faucet timer that can run up to 12 hours so i am making all my water at night for the next day but that is gonna become unpractical quickly so i am gonna have to update to a bigger main rez or find a second water source


My cloning has been on point this year... i am never wasting money on a pH pen again it is just classic no fail dropper from here on out.. here is a pic of my freshest batch before it got transplanted...



i am not expecting much from the first couple crops and unfortunately i had that accident that left me with only 3 plants in one system but other than that they are all pretty good...

Wondered where yas went Bro.....If yas been doin them tube thingie`s since `08 and the only crop death is what I`m lookin at , then feel blessed......Shit gonna happen...Bet on it....and....

9 times outta 10 it`s stupid ass grower error just like yas just did......

Bet yas don`t make that mistake again and if it took yas losin a few plants ta make sure it never happens again , then they were sacrificed for the greater good......

As far as humidity levels go Bro , I`ve got good news and bad......

If yas`re potentially runnin 8 week cycles/rotations to harvey every week from each cooler then you`ve doomed your fresh planted cuts from the get by droppin RH round 50% to save your older plants from developin airborn nasties/pathogens and I understand.....

An 8 week finishin strain strain needs minimum 24-28 days for the stretch before actual hormone changes and full swellage begins....

70% humidity is crucial to lettin em be all they can be till end of stretch to increase bottom line yields , and then you can drop RH to as close to 50% as yas can get it with so many plants transpiring/ sweatin out used up juice into the room.....so....

Krusty never had problems with powdery mildew and or gray mold/budrot cuz he used sulphur burners and buncha airflow round the warehouses "above and below" the plants , but never on em ta make em sweat more than needed that fucks with nutrient uptake.....and what I was gettin at Bro is.......

Your younger plants are sufferin for at "least" a month before they can deal with the lower humidity levels cuz they just won`t blow up without the optimum conditions , and it`s costin yas in the long run tryin ta keep it down for the coolers that`re finishin so I feel yas.....but...

You could increase airflow around the plants and not haveta worry bout the dehuey so much , and that helps to maintain temps along with the radiator , and for the record.......

The tightest setup I ever saw with fast hydro was with ambient temps in the high 80`s-low 90`s , RH at around 70-80 % till stretch was over , and then 50% till end of cycle with CO2@ 900 ppm`s continuously with tanks and controllers......

Only time I ever saw anyone kill it with CO2 supplement.......ever.....
