day 26 from seed

day 26 from seed

Just a quick update after topping and first dose of lst.The plants lean towards the compactness of the bubbledust and have that BD "dankness" when you disturb them.I'm hoping they put out useful secondaries like the BD vs.the columnar structure of the HB. click to enlarge

Day 8 12/12

Day 8 12/12

This will be my last photo update until I see some hairs...figured I'd conserve bandwidth and not post any more boring veg/pre-flower pics.
Ended up with 6 females that take well to lst...the stems are very rubbery and can be tied down without any fear of breakage.Hopefully they will firm up a bit so they can be supercropped.Right now they are feeding on Rez's 6/9 GH formula with 5ml/gal Diamond Nectar @550ppm 5.5-6.0ph.I'll be discontinuing the diamond nectar and adding 5ml/gal liquid Koolbloom for their next feeding.
Hope to update by Christmas...odors are becoming interesting...

Nice LST on Waterfarm Action <-- Theres something you don't see everyday....

I love the waterfarm's Always had good luck with them, but never LST'd whilst in them.

Hmmmm I guess you just never lift the bucket out from here on out... that's why lucas rocks for the waterfarms, ph and ec is always dead on.

I would be scared to lock myself into the waterfarms without a way to lift the plant out and check the rez, YOU ARE SO BRAVE.

I find the easiest way to check the res is to remove the dripring assembly and and insert a turkey baster down into the tube to siphon nutrient solution into a cup for testing. Beats the hell out of lifting buckets when your plants are commited.I love my waterfarms and plan to upgrade to a recirc system someday.By the way thanks for the interest!

Day 14 12/12

Day 14 12/12

One thing I forget to mention with the turkey baster:you might have to hook a length of 1/2" water line to the end in case the baster isn't long enough.Other than that it works pretty good and forces me to clean my drip rings!
The plant in the lower left in the last set of pics decided that it wasn't female and grew a set of balls.Good thing I waited until today to take cuttings! That one got tossed and now we're down to 5 girls.
I'll go into more detail on each plant next update.
I lowered the lamp to 12" above the canopy in order to raise the temp a little bit and it seems to be working pretty good.I run a electric heater at night which keeps the dark-time temp around 60 degrees. The plants are staying pretty stocky and seem to be happy!
Hate to run but time to strain the cannabutter!!!

Merry Christmas Fellow ICMaggers!

Merry Christmas Fellow ICMaggers!

Looks like Santa hooked me up good this Christmas...he brought me some tinsel for my little trees instead of a lousy pet rock!lol

My growroom is smelling alot like skunky Heineken...until you start fondling the plants.I get a combination of sour grape, blueberry, and marachino cherry with a hint of anisette that sticks with me for a while and makes my mouth water.Damn I can't wait to taste them.
Plants #1and#3 are of 1 pheno:They are growing slightly taller and have a little more stretch. The stems are very pliable despite being hollow;they lst really well but I wouldn't supercrop.
Plants #2and#5 are of a shorter phenotype that have no stretch, solid stems, and earlier onset of flowering.#5 smells most like marachino cherry. Also they grow more columnar and don't put out secondaries like 1and3.
#4 is a combination of the other phenos.
Merry Christmas Everybody and thanks for stopping by!:thank you:

Hate to say it but #4 turned into a hermie and was removed.
Been converting my waterfarms to recirc units and took 18 cuttings from plant1 and2.I plan on flowering 9-12 of them when this grow is finished. The buds are very dense despite their actual size and resemble their honeybee mom. Also switched to 1000w hps conversion bulb in time for peak flower production.

Retread thread. You have inspired me to pop some beans Adler the new year. What's the deal with germinating seeds and the full moon?

I would germ seeds at the new moon vs full moon.During the new moon, lunar gravity pulls water up and causes the seeds to swell and burst. This coincides with with the increasing intensity of moonlight until the moon is full and creates balanced root and leaf growth.
Google search "gardening by the moon" for lots more info. That was a good question and thanks for giving me something new and interesting to check out while the buds begin to grow.Have a super green new year!
