i like your jars snoopsters......you can get other spice jars too with the screw on cap for cheaper but i personally just liked the ones i got just look nicer sitting on my end table......Bionic theres no bamboo so thats a typo.....

anyways like seeing what everyone uses its interesting keep em coming!

I don't have to worry about nice looking jars, I banished myself to the garage when my first kid was born and less people are over smoking with me (sigh). I do have a couple nice jars from my pre-kid days.

There is a place in Denver that supplies a lot of dispensaries, they have some pretty cool containers.

It is a wholesale site, but they do sell some stuff individually. I save on shipping by picking it up at the warehouse.

A friend gets really cheap small baggies from them.

In the US they sell the giant jars of pickles...they're like a gallon and a half or something. Usually they're really cheap, plus full of pickles.

we use standard mason jars.

how do u get old pepper jars to actually seal?

dumb newbie question I guess so be it: how do you get ANY of these jars to seal? I have old canning jars with the clasping tops and have just been using them like that without sealing, which usually works for the small quantities I have. But assuming I did want to seal some for long term storage, I can't imagine the standard boiling water method used for canning vegetables would work. I know nothing about vacuum sealers but can't imagine how it could seal these old school glass jars (some a funky blue glass color).

Mason jars. Why anything else??? Proven for many years and dirt cheap. Find them at any hardware store. Come in just about any size. Air tight and have a screw top. What's there not to like?

Why buy overpriced glass that isn't air tight?

lol this.

i like ur style.

I've got cases of mason jars stacked high. I still prefer the ease of the repurposed candle jars, for short term storage/quick stash access. No screwing, just an easy pop off/on and they are reasonably air tight as long as you leave the soft plastic sleeve on the stopper.

found some spice jars online from target $21 for a set of 12 & ordered them after tax & shipping it came out to $30 their 4 oz each & look nice not super thick glass although the lid is but not fragile either they have the rubber seal on the inside of the lid & it does provide air tightness im very happy with these i thought it was a great bargain & wanted to share it with everyone.

I'm not a physicist, but I'm pretty sure pulling is mechanically simpler than screwing and mason jar lids aren't easy to screw off if you screw them on tightly.

I'm pretty sure, as with most things, the only way to resolve this is violence. Pistols at dawn?

Your lid, while it does indeed take ever so slightly less effort to open and close, is much heavier and therefore requires more effort. It is also more prone to air leaks and breakage by drunken brothers. The mason jar lids also double as a tray, if needed.

I would make you a video comparing the two types of jars, but making a video trying to prove that my way requires less effort is too much of a weird contradiction, even for me.

I will have to have someone open my jar for me as I am completely exhausted from this exchange.

What would be really cool is to make a jar with a dispensary system, so you can keep the weed at the ideal humidity at all times, and not affect that by opening and closing them.

impossible without breaking the seal, so you might as well just open the jar anyway. just don't leave it open longer than you need to.
