Males, all my grow garbage, old venting and stuff, , im not a man because i want to keep my family safe? I never thought this was a huge risk, but i am careful to never dump my garbage at my appartment and i always watch the garbage bag once i dump it till its picked up. If they were surveiling me they could have just sent a truck just for that dumpster right? So they could prove it was mine,And my fingerprints are all over it...

Im, sorry, i am not a paeranoid person i just dont want to go to jail. And my work couldnt get in trouble , i followed the advice of the thead on this site that said never dump it at your place find a dumpster somewhere.im going to try hard to figure out why they ccame 2 days early and emptied the dumpster when it was less than a quarter full, id rather noth liquify and flush 400+ dollars in genetics.

Hell no you cant. I would think that like was mentioned above, trash company's are always messed up at holiday time. Plus you could be growing veggies in less you have told everyone ya work with your dumping your grow trash in the company dumpster. I can say that they of course dont like when their dumpster is being used by workers. Try using a dumpster at a gas station or something, just act like your cleaning your car. Maybe even mix it with some fast food bags. Way better then your work place, jobs are hard to find as it is.

I just wanted to thank everybody, even the guys that just took the opportunity to make fun of me, you were all right, my boss dug through the mail and found a lettter from the waste managment saying they were switching our pickup day, it was sent BEFORE i dumped the garbage so im all clear. It just goes to show ya, i think paranoa, or just that loss of peace of mind is the biggest cost factor of growing in a non med state, ive slowly gotten pretty paranoid over the last ten months! To think i almost tossed my whole grow over it! So ya you all were right and im a nutjob, sorry to waste your time but really, your comments helped me through a rough couple of hours so once again, thanks so much!

As far as disposal goes, I always separate organic matter and dispose of it in a brown paper bag so there's no prints. Anything else like bottles and stuff that could retain a print is disposed of separately in a regular trash bag with normal trash, minus any mail that may have my name or address on it.

Find a dumpster that is not traced to you in any way and dump your organic materials there. The other stuff personally I'd throw out in a separate dumpster not traceable to you.

My general rule of thumb for fighting paranoia: if your show is under 2000w, nobody gives a shit about you or your grow. There might be the occasional bit of bad luck where somebody rocking a closet gets popped, but you have to really fuck up to make that happen...do something really dumb, like forget to use a carbon scrubber, or tell your neighbors and friends about it, or...throw your grow trash in a public dumpster in the apartment complex where you live.

Yup, me too - I read all the way down b4 posting - glad you are in the clear...

You aren't paranoid - pretty much the entire world IS out to get us tokers/growers, but usually there is a rational explanation for unusual stuff...

I used to pitch stuff in the dumpster behind where I worked - about a dozen businesses used it, and I would take legit stuff everyday (almost), so dropping grow waste, etc., was a no brainer.

I'd still take it there if I had stuff to dispose of - no sweat...

haaaaahahaha....glad its all good...i would say even if it wasn't ok that it's very unlikely that you are being monitored for something so small, unless you are selling or stealing electricity. If thats not the case i dont see how anyone would ever know..plus im not sure how easy it would be for them to get a warrant to search your place based on a little bit of plant material.....you would have to be observed dumping it or have your prints on record or something

Very common occurrence. The bill might reflect a double charge. Another example might be dumping on Tuesday instead of Thursday, then returning to normal schedule. Somebody already mentioned holiday season - it's also big-time trash season. Normal pick up routes get whacked from time to time.

I think you are being paranoid. This said, I would look for another way of disposing of grow trash.

I probably should have been more constructive. I re-use everything from my grow. Growing medium gets re-used by planting fresh cuts or seed plants directly in the undisturbed medium immediately after harvest. Big fan leafs and stems get used as mulch at harvest. Grade A bud gets dried and cured. Everything else goes through bubble bags. The leftovers from the bags get mulched.

Taking any one of the measures that I use would eliminate a significant fraction of incriminating waste.

There are other things that can be done with plants as well. Some people feed leaf material to worms or chickens. Others throw all waste in a compost pile.

It seems like such a huge waste to throw everything out.

Silent as shit too... didn't hear it until it moved off and was about a quarter mile away.... then normal helicopter engines.

no no no! i really needed to hear that stuff, i truly did, after that scare i spent the rest of my work day taking an objective step back, and look at myself...i have been getting paranoid about a lot of things over the past year without even realizing it. i quit the booze about 3 years ago with the help of AA and at the time i started growing i was very very good at the whole serenity thing, i never worried about anything i didn't need too. before today i was memorizing all the cars in the lot, and who lived in what apartment, ive really been going down the deep end a bit, suspecting the cops would get a tip somehow and park a confiscated car in my lot with a hidden camera in it, to look for flashes of light from behind my blackout curtains or something...i know...in retrospect it sounds ridiculous! lol like serious jesse ventura paranoia...and i'm minnesotan so i know what thats like!

you guys telling me i was being crazy was really a big help, calming me down until my boss showed up to help with my fears, for the record, he is one of only 2 people that know about my grow, because i had considered moving into his basement apartment when he kicked out the last tenant, but i would have had to keep my grow cab in the garage, and i couldn't do that, i like to sleep near my babies. the other is my pot dealer, and best friend, the person i go too when i run out of weed, or when i have extra weed and no cash...it's good to know at least one guy that moves product for a living imo.lol

i am with you there brother, i do much the same, though i do flip the soil after each grow, i've been using the same 3 bags of happy frog for the past 3 grows, and i like to mulch my leaves back into the soil. the reason i had so much garbage was because i have been continually pimping my cab...as soon as i improve one thing i come up with something else, so it was a lot of that sort of thing, old mylar, lots of grow bags, and random gardening trash, scraps of plywood and mdf, empty caulk containers, empty tape rolls ect. last week i just finished partitioning off my ventilation system, and shortening my cab inner footprint to match my light better. now that that is done i'm already thinking about installing plywood to the ceiling in my cab to make it angled like a pyramid/canoe sort of, to better reflect light back on the grow, and make the inner volume smaller, so the ventilation will be more efficient... this incident has made me rethink how i do all of my trash collecting and disposal, i'm sure i can do a better job.

as for smoking indica...well right now i'm not even smoking, believe it or not, i stopped about 2-3 weeks ago, though i have done it once or twice since then, i just needed to lose a little weight and get a lot of work done i've been putting off...not to mention the tolerance lowering aspect. when i do smoke i only have og kush from reserva privada and chemdog ibl, i think those qualify as indica's lol, though this round i also have sams freebie skunk/haze mix going and chemdogXak47's i made this past spring...

next round though i may be a little more paranoid...c99 f2's and skunk special...

i'm gonna finally work up the balls and post a few pics of the plants you guys helped save...this morning i was planning on liquifying them in the blender when i got home and flushing the goo down the toilet. here they are at day 13 of budding, the left half is 4 clones, 3 pheno's of chem ibl, and 1 og kush, the right bed is all my seed stock. you can't see the soil beds underneath the canopy but they are about a foot tall in the pics, started them budding november 30th

In our line of work/play it's important to be aware of unusual things going on around you. Anything that's different from normal in your environment is something to keep an eye on. Keep an eye on it long enough and you usually find or figure out the reason for it, refuse collection day changing suddenly without your knowledge for example.

Don't just dismiss unusual stuff but no need to FREAK OUT!!! as it wouldn't help even if you were being surveilled. Staying calm and appearing to go about your business as usual probably would though.

Start getting rid of the garbage somewhere else just to be safe.

Were you wearing gloves when you bagged it, and if not, are your prints on file? It might be rare for the police to find a bag of old grow trash, but they will finger print it if they do.
