I still see his point.I hate re sellers as a general rule.A satisfied end user would be my best goal.No matter what anybody tells you, its a low paying skilled job for the grower.Perfect pounds don't just fall from a clear blue sky:).

the market is kush. right now anything remotely kush is the only ting goin, this includes sour d and chem d for some reason(they THINK its a kush, haha!). If I was you Id invest in some of that rez gear or cali connection... But when you grow um out find a keeper mom, cuz its a waste goin through hella seeds only to run them jus one time.

Everybody re-vegging? Or do you all have the space to grow out 50+ plants while their clones wait for your choice of future mom?

Can't speak for anybody else but typically if I'm running a new cross from seed I will take 3-4 clones from each plant, get 1 under the light to root from each, and then put the remaining ones in labeled ziplocs in the crisper drawer until I know which ones I want to run. That way when the first run are done flowering I can throw the (formerly clone) new mothers in the flowering chamber and take whatever pheno I want to continue to run out of the fridge to get started as the new mom.

This thread rings a bell with me because I just found my answer. Its a sad fact that alot of seed strains (yes I mean well grown) just won't cut it. At least not 10 seeds worth, but there are a lot of bullshit companies, do you research well. If the smell dosen't reek when the jars cracked regardless of the high people aren't interested. I was hip deep in a picky ass crowd and alot of competition. I didn't have connects for elites so I had to keep popping seeds.
If you don't have a top dollar plant you should always be popping more seeds. Keep your best mom and make your bulk with it, but dedicate some space to new blood.

You will be glad you have been in competition in the long run. Sometimes you can get worked up. But you come out way more skilled trying to compete. Seeing the better stuff made me go home and work harder

Anyway my keeper gal finally showed up in a seed batch. 60-65 days, Short veg time because she stretches just right. I was told the seed batch was NL5Hz x OG Kush. Very up high, with little tolerance and it reeks at all times (veg to nug) of frankensence.
I'm still popping seeds too much fun to stop.

Oh yeah outdoor rules...

my method is to take a clone of each plant and make sure there goin to survive before i put the plants on flower, with me useing mostly reg i will kill the clones as there respective mother turns out male, i may keep a stand out male i like the look of, and as flower gos on ill kill any clones from hermie mothers so usaly i end up keeping 25 to 35 clones outa 50 seeds but thats dwiddles down as the plants show them selfs, usualy by end of flower i have 15 to 20 that make it to the smoke test , and ill also reveg the keeper plants, all this can be done in a small grow tent with a small led light, seperate from your flower room

This thread has been a good read. So much of the learning process is easily relatable between those who have gone through it and I have much of the same experiences as some of you. Because the immensity of variables is daunting, growing consistent high quality indoor herb is a challenge to say the least. You have to create an exact micro-climate (<not sure that is the right word) in a building that is usually less than ideal for the task. After that, you have to work underground to acquire genetics, then figure out how to grow, all the while you are always at risk of being found out by entities with interests that may harm you. Bottom line ninjaboy28, is you didn't pick an easy career. Best of luck to you though. You, and all of us, got lots of good advice in this thread, I hope we take it.

Well not really a career, I work a day job and my grow is just to get a little ahead every month.
I just scored some og fire and alien kush beans Im hoping that this will help to make my buds elite. I learned alot from this thread and pm's from my forum brothers.

Move to Texas ninjaboy. Very inconsistent here and usually flooded with stuff from Mex. I know your plants look better than that.

Most growers work a day job also...

I have been doing some research...and have 6 test grows going...check out shavia skunk....45-55 day flower...great yield...excellent for SOG...and pretty easy to grow...

I have seeds...starting now.....of 6 different test grows....and still maintain my current grows....

good luck

In my experience as a buyer of commercial weed it is all about getting you high off one or two hits. Why? Because the rest of the smoking experience sucks. I almost every time find no matter the name it is called it tastes, smells, and burns just like the other batch the week before named something different.

Normally i don't sell what i grow, but I did once because of someone smoking weed I had grown and kinda needed the money. Plus we had grown a lot so I had some to get rid of. Then I couldn't get rid of the customers. Hell I even had a mild threat if I didn't keep growing and selling. What grabbed them? It wasn't an elite clone. I was growing multiple seed strains. Some good some mediocre. What kept them coming back? The smells and taste of the bud. Only once did I get a complaint. It was over potency. It wasn't potent I agreed. It was all that was left and he still bought it because it tasted and smelled good. Variety was also a good selling point. That way no one builds a tolerence to the same strain. Don't under estimate variety its the spice of life. Guaranteed customers will come back wondering what the flavor of the week is.
