Ultra Current's 2000 Watt Lem Chem in RDWC!

U

Ultra Current

I've been interested in the Lem Chem for some time but havnet had the chance to pop the pack until now. I hope everything goes smooth because I've had this pack in the freezer for a good amount of time which isn't really the problem. This location that housed the beans had many power outages since theyve been in there and I just hope that the many packs of beans that I have are alright. Time will tell.

I haven't really been able to find any finished grows of this but have seen a few nice pics that makes this project look promising. This project will be flowered in a room with 4,000 watts HPS but will only take up one of my RDWC systems that contains 24 plants. In the room there are 48 plants under 4 x 1000 watts. There are 2 systems and each system has 3 rows of 8 plants per row with 16" plant centers. The goal of the project is to find 5 females and take 5 clones of each female and put 24 of them into one of the systems. Then I have enough of each female to get good data and find my keepers easier. I havent decided what else will be in the room. Maybe Sour Diesel. I'll be using 2 lightrail 3.5's with 2 trolleys. I'll have 2 x 20 pound tanks of CO2 and a 16,000 BTU air conditioner. There may or may not be chillers as I havnt used any of mine to date.

This may be a long grow because I will be growing MOMs in soil and cloning them to then take those clones and flower those first. When i have beans that are hard to get, i dont take chances with them in hydro because things can go wrong very fast. I've made plenty of room to work with in the VEG room and got rid of most of my other MOMs to make room for this. Veg lights will be mostly T5's. I'm a little too stoned right now to write in an organized way and it's hard to keep my thoughts so I will have to re edit this later and add more details.

Pictures are coming tomorrow and seeds go to paper towels tomorrow morning. Stay tuned...

Alright guys and girls I've been really busy but I'm finally ready to get started. Thread begins tomorrow. Here's a sample of a system that I will be using for this grow but it will have more plants and 2 more rows.

Today was a long day. Time to smoke some Chem and relax till I do it all over again tomorrow.

Seeds are in paper towels and in bags germinating on one of my 6 bulb T5 Veg light. The light adds heat to the beans so they can germinate easier but you have to be careful with all that heat and moisture. I make sure to check on them after the first 24 hours and then every 6-12 hours after that.

Most of the beans have shown me their tails in the paper towels. They have been transferred to soil in propagator trays with domes and heat mat set to 76f. Pics and more details to be edited in this post soon.

All 10 Lem Chems have shown me their tails! Can't expect better than that. I have them all in Foxfarm Light Warrior with a very small amount of Foxfarm Ocean Forest mixed in at the bottom of the containers. They are currently on a heat mat as stated above and set for 76 degrees F with domes. Once the seeds come out of the dirt, I make sure to open the holes on the dome. It takes me about a week to completely take the dome off. I planted 30 seeds in total and only one Bubba hasn't popped. Not bad for all those power outages!

Most of the seeds have risen above the soil line. I seem to be having some problems though but we will see how it goes. The seeds haven't open enough for the plants to release them. I helped out the ones that I could. I don't think that a few of them will make it but only time will tell. There seems to be a root coming out of one of the leaves. Looks very strange. Air holes have been opened on the domes late last night and I open the lid a few times per day to acclimate them. We will see how the progress goes the next few days.

I remember the good ol days when packs of seeds came with 15 in them and a lot of the packs would have 16 in them. Those were some good days.

Oh shit that seedling that I thought had a root growing out of the leaf turned out to be a different story. I've never seen this before but that seed contained 2 separate plants. I removed it and placed it into it's own container and we will see if we can save it. It is in bad health though because it was attached to the Lem Chem #8 and not in the soil. This is crazy though cause I've never seen this before. I hope I can save it cause it will be interesting to compare the 2 plants from the same seed and see if there are differences. Only time will tell. Pics to follow in a couple of days.

All 10 seeds look like they are going to make it. The extra plant is growing too! It is labeled Lem Chem #8b.

Last night I took a road trip to "the old guy". He wanted to show me his projects. He got a super silver haze that he created that he swears blows the old ssh from green house to pieces. It is very potent and might be the most potent weed I've ever had. Taste real good too and has all up effects. He had 3 different phenos of Flava Flave too and gave me a couple of ropes to try out. I was very impressed! He tells me most of the clone onlys are trash compared to what he makes and it's hard to believe but he's been doing this for many years and has lots of old school genes. All his strains have up highs and he can't stand downers and couch lock stones. He even had some indices with up highs too. Time for a joint of Flava Flave #2!

For future reference I count day one when the seeds come out of the soil. That day was December 15, 2011 and shall begin day one from that date.

I originally thought that I would keep the dome on for 7 days but now it is the beginning of day 3 and they seem ready to go without it. I don't stck to formulas or past methods, the plants tell me what they like by observing them. I spend at least 2 hours a day with the seedlings just hanging out and looking at them. When they need water, they only get Fiji water, and they all do not get watered at the same time. I hand weigh each pot and only pots that are at the right weight get watered. The seedlings look pretty happy and it only makes me happy too. This project is going to be a lot of fun because I popped 30 beans in total. I'm going to find some nice phenos in this run to add to my collection. Can't wait to see what Larry is all about!

Today is the beginning of day 3. All is well with the babies and they are well taken care of. Dome is off for good but the heat mat is still below them and is set to 70 degrees F. Here's a few pics:
