Oozing Sap! Sour Strawberry Kush Harvest

Have seen a picture here and there of our beloved plants oozing sap, and had the honor of experiencing it myself today. I just started harvesting Bog's Sour Strawberry Kush bx1, the strawberry pheno, my keeper today. I ran them for their first time in my 4K RDWC 24 bucket setup.

I noticed today a glurb of an amber substance on a nug while starting to trim and was like damn wtf got on this! Turns out about 10%+ of all nugs trimed today had an amber goo or a clear goo oozing from it. Me being me I tasted it, PURE sugar. I have a nasty ehadcold only a couple days in, smell and taste are about gone. I can't even smell the normally overpowering nugs I am trimming. The sap taste good, better then most the candy in my munchie cupboard. Considering running this plant with a maple syrup collection setup attached to make for some special pancakes.

I can show you some room pictures later, for now, check this out! My favorite part of the pictures is the trichromes reflecting in the sap. Sorry for any repetitive shots, I started with a lot more and reduced down to this lol.

Some here are familiar with this plant I found. She is strawberry as they get, and I have been told she is more strawberry than kksc. She like to put on a show to, bag appeal is 1million%. Reaks of strawberry, covered in trichs, and pink hues to boot. I started pulling her today at day 67. Sometimes I think she might be done alot sooner, around day 50-56 she looks toast. Lessons learned this round in the buckets with here is switch to flower nutes day 21, she does not need the extra nitrogen. I got longer nodes then I normally would in organic soil. She grows lenky btu has pretty hard stems form her sour bubble daddy. Out of her lineage she does resemble the ecsd in alot of ways, but really in this cut you see a little of everyone. I don't smoke this much when I have it around, it is good but I enjoy more raunchy flavors. My girlfriend, patients, friends, love it. Don't forget this is the instant female orgasm in a bag, works everytime. The moan doesn't lie. These were vegged for 24 days, I had to break tops to keep them back form the light and also squeeze every last chain link I could out of my hoods. Lowest feeder I have ever experienced, 550ppm @ .5 or 1.1 EC was like the top. Of course I burnt her just to be sure lol.

Amazing stuff from an awesome grower.

I used to see those big balls of sap on Sour Bubble BX3 all the time. Those bud would give us a nice warm feeling in the head when we smoke that stuff.

Phoenix- Coming from you man it means alot, thanks Being sick sucks, I think I have a sick harvest every winter. You smoked them huh? I considered it, of course, and I am sure I will this week when the other 22 are coming down. For now I am satisfied eating it, bit of a candy head.

Krunch-I found this in one pack of the BX1, the first tester release, you had to buy 3 packs of BOG to recieve one of these. I purchased nine packs to get 3 packs of the BX1's. I still have two packs chillin in the fridge. Unfortunately, no one has seemed to find one even close to this one. I am constantly rooting it on cause I want to see others enjoy her as well. 3 of my keeper moms are BOG plants, and I found them in one pack of seeds each. I have thrown out countless elites to continue running these.

Also Krunch normally in the buckets 900ppm is the upper limit of most strains I have run. 1.8 EC Normally at 550ppm I am about 10 days into veg, so this was shocking to me as well. My friend ran her in a RDWC and warned me she was a LOW feeder, I couldn't imagine 550-600ppm. Tis true, save money on nutes with this girl.


Brotherindica- Thanks man! I agree, seriously she is not my personal favorite smoke, but bag appeal and if you could smell her alone it is a done deal. I think if people had her she would be right up there next to most elites. Also, me neither, a drop here and there is all most ever see. I am seeing 10% plus have sap oozing. I can't wait to see what it looks like after the nugs are dry. Brotherindica you are always to kind man, thanks again!

whats the story behind this strains current state? from what I read he took a male from the bx1 SSK and crossed that to the SB mum, in that case its going to be very SB dom in its current state (the ones for sale on the boo)

I would love something more SK dom..

nice lookin nugs! that stuff looks real similar to Unknown Prophets SSK, i think his was ECSD x SB x KKSC or something like that....pink hues in the middle of white nugs. smells like strawberry with lavender and lilac laundry detergent..

Yes4Prop- I agree man, I think I said in his thread that is the closest looking thing I have seen to my keeper, structure wise a spitting image. I guess I missed the part where he decscribed the smell, that sounds crazy lol. This one smells like straight up real deal strawberry on day 19 12/12, and develops into a more artificail strawberry over time. It is ECSD x the razz (GDP x lavender) x KKSC x SB

Dude either way that is an amazing thing to see. I've only seen my plants get like that in places where I've trimmed and in WAY smaller amounts.

Now if you could only put it outdoors and get it tree-sized, you could just tap it like a sweet maple! OK, maybe that's pushing it.

Your nugs look a lot like the strawberry. It is the most strawberry smelling strain. Ladies love it.
