I was fortunate to sample a couple bowls of Plush, two phenos. I'm an indy head at heart, so I liked the hit of the more sour bubble pheno. It was a heavy session involving no less than 4 previo us strain samples. Thing is you still KNEW you smoked Plush, it would cut through and not necessarily overpower, but mingled well. The next morning I instantly reached for the Plush jar remembering SOMETHING had put a beating too me, and wanted to see which it was. Left me zoned out in a day dream for an hour solid before I snapped of it.

Plush was certainly dank....you'll enjoy!

Wow. Thats great to hear DF. I'm sure the other buds in that session weren't schwag.

I usually run away from indicas... the lil sleep I get is too much already. Sour Bubble used to kick my ass.

Did you up the amount of fertilizer used, or, lessen the amount of medium used per bag? Going bigger pots for the larger ladies? Altered base medium a bit?

You "cooking" the medium this will help big time...availability will be better, pH chemistry will be more forgiving, micro herd will be at higher populations innoculating the root zone environment giving better roots and that boost in growth we discussed, water retention increases and drought symptoms will be reduced with the proper availability of silica...the list goes on. Your recreating a living environment. Naturally, the longer environment is "created" the higher the biodiversity becomes. This one step, alone will see the most return for time invested...COOK THAT MEDIUM! it is in the directions after all...hehehe ;)

And no Marlo, it was not up against schwagg...

Yea bro, I was just about to ask you a question in the NSPB thread.

So I didn't add the peat, but I did add about 10% EWC and a lil less on the COCO. I also threw in some of the HI N guano that I was using to make up the top dressing, since it was lying around.

My question was about the cooking. I mixed up the soil and lightly watered it and let it sit. Cpl days go by and I mix it up again. The stuff at the bottom looked a bit dry so I water a bit, mix it up and let it sit. Then I noticed you had your soil covered in the pics you posted. Of course, I covered mine. I opened the top today to check on the soil, and I notice some mold just starting to form on the top of the soil. Like lil snowflakes.

Guess the top is a no go..... Should I do anything?

Unless you are smelling decay (ammonia) which would indicate the lack of oxygen and excess moisture were present to grow anerobic bacteria and those are no bueno. If this smell is not present, then I'd assume the medium isn't being kept to wet, and shouldn't be molding either. Which leads me to my intial assumtion, but in detail, is you are seeing the beneficial bacteria colonizing and secreting and doing their thing...which is exactly what you want.

Fwiw, I use much more soil, so there is added moisture there to begin with..so I don't moisten it, as the covering of the pile traps heat and collects condensation, giving me the moisture I require. It is just damp enough so that it will clump in a balled fist but not retain any shape when opened... For coir think wet enough that it still wipes cleanly from your hand leaving no dirt (magically...lol...coir impresses me) but still leaving your hand feeling cold and damp; you want to dry it off but there is no real need... "that" kinda damp ;)

What's funny, is I know you get it....hahaha.

VG, is right on point about mobile P,K in coir. ...

hi frank,
coir is obviously good as a chem medium in itself for it's excellent structure but imo, in an organic mix, it's going to want to decompose - and to do that it will use some of the nutrients in the soil, or at least borrow them for a while - N as well as P and K ( i think coir nutes have extra PK?) . i started to use 20% coco for a while and it was good enough but im pretty certain my mix is better with just 30% peat and no coir - i use topsoil at 20% too.

plants looking good marlo :tiphat: btw it definitely wasnt me that said organics dont yield :D

Awesome Marlo, unfortunate evens also made me cut down this crop early, actually like three weeks early. hate to do it, but family issues, and I need to come up with some funds to help someone out.

Once again I would like to thank you Marlo for the great kindness you showed me. You were one of the people I thanked at the dinner table last night. Keep it green.

Yall ever try breaking up with a chick, and then she starts actin good for a while? Gettin her hair done, and wearin the tight clothes again n shit. Well that what this bitch is tryna do. :)

I basically made my mind up that SFV Sour #1 was gonna be outta here. I have one lone clone of her left. She is not in the plans for this upcoming run. She basically has 1 foot in the trash bin. So in the last few days, she starts showin all these new pretty colors and tryna make herself look all swollen, lol.

SFV Sour #1 63 days

Here is one of the buds that gets closer to the light. This bud below gets as close as 6 inches away from a bare bulb 6oow every 40 seconds. It looks a lil more stressed than the buds above, but this is the most extreme in the room.

When they weigh as much at 7wks as they previously did at 10wk.... ;)

Beautiful flowers Marlo...and I feel ya on selection woes...these GOLDEN CINDY are causing a headache, but there can be only one...duncan mccloud....lol.

Everyday I'm on the fence...because OTHERS (non-dankologists) would be satisfied with the flowers, ans by all means they get dumb fat even in 1 gal. So do I hunt TRUE dankity dank dank...or really pimp these bulky broads fot a few runs?? I've tossed two, and fished them back out the bin, and revived them...lol. Ugh. I need to make Nuggetshiner pick....lol!

I did that once! Now I'm hacking bitches left and right. Tryna be faithful to only a small # of girls :)

Here's the "good" side. This (half) is exactly what I wanted. Definitely +1gpw material.

This pic is just the 2 DSD's
picture.php

From the bottom looking up at the 2 DSD's. You can see the huge difference in the DSD wall and the SD wall to the right. Extremely dank, but very unproductive on that side. Yield is definitely gonna suffer there. That SD IBL looks like it could've used a bit of Cal/Mg too.... exactly why she (and others) will not be coming back.

Here's the bottom half. Chunky nugs there too. Gotta love vert!

beautiful work indeed marlo.
thank you very much (you too frank) for the info on the plush. i only covered the smallest bit of info on it, somewhere (phillthys prob) and havent been able to find anything else since ive received it. did you use the same SB male (s) to hit your galadriel up? ill have to run them together to keep an eye on them. i should be popping them sometime in december, well see. have to sort my luis and chem x cjs first.

Per always, I'm really impressed with both your setup and the results.. I see you're using ~ 3 gallon pots, .. Are you finding that to be enough root space to carry 'em thru to the end of the grow? And if I'm seeing correctly, they looked like they vegged 'til about 2' tall, is that right? Did you top/FIM 'em at all during veg?

I'm close to wrapping up a dismally disappointing run, overhead styl-ee. I'm thinking of making the switch to vert, with a setup similar to yours. :tiphat: It's a lovely idea! A buddy of mine used to do similar to your WOW, but opposite, .. (If that's still similar?) He had a 600W lamp hanging, with a piece of 4' x 8' hardware cloth formed into a hoop around the lamp (hoop ~ 3' in diameter), and then trained the plants to the screen itself..

Yours seems much cleaner and efficient, which I prefer!

The analogy about the chick wearing tight clothes put a huge grin on my face bro, some funny shit right there :D Spot on though that bitch is looking sexy lol!!

The 'good' side looks spot on for real nice looking nugs in general bro :tiphat:
