Any TN people?

Just wondered as I'm feeling somewhat lonely on various forums as there seems to be a clear lack of TN folk

Maybe not lonely but I am jealous of you medical state people with your medical state buddies! haha kidding of course.

Hey bro, this is a big no no here - soliciting for "friends" in your homestate (especially in non med friendly places)

Just do your time here, contribute and LEARN LEARN LEARN. In the end, it will be YOU who makes the difference in your 420ism

Oops I think I posted on the wrong page. Anyway while I am here about Tn regulations do think it will ever happen? I mean legalization of the herb.

I can see it happening, it will just take a while. TN can be kind of slow on some things. One thing to note is that we have had medical bills in the legislature, it just seems like TN lawmakers aren't ready to face the facts. I personally would love TN to take a better approach but I'm not sure its likely until many more states choose medical programs.

It is hard to say for sure but remain hopeful. I mean, just 15 years ago, California became the first medical state and in the grand scheme of things, 15 years isn't THAT long.

btw not soliciting for friends, just wanting to see if fellow TN people were on this board. I recently got busted with a lot of pot and won't be smoking for at least a year so not really looking for toking buddies but you can't blame me for wanting to see if people were on here as TN isn't a medical state, I'm assuming the ratio is much higher in terms of California people, for example.

seems our congressman steve cohen sponsored a bill to end the prohibition, meaning the feds would butt out and states would decide for themselves, but idont think it has a serious chance....there is also sb 251 to legalize medical in the state of tennessee. if it gets on the ballot in 2012 tennessee could be the first southern state to lead way.

tennessee at one time had medical marijuana legally. when the feds stopped distributing their trashweed from the mississippi research facility, the legislature did away with it because of lack of supply. a few years later, the same legislators voted something like 95-to 2 in favor of a non-binding resolution in favor of research/medically available weed. we aint the punkin rollers that folks like to portray us as, in spite of our propensity to walk barefoot in the snow & marry our first cousins...:thank you:

^ I'd agree. I mean, I hear places like Texas and Florida are pretty tough on MJ.

fl isnt friendly.......poss over 20gms = felony......cultivation over 25 plants = min mandatory prison time.....any pipes / paraph. testing + cannabis = Misdemeanor......poss under 20gms but bagged separatly = felony poss w/ intent to sell

dont think ALL here are in one of the med states....my guess is MOST arent........jmo

I just returned from a visit to LA, and what difference in landscape and rainfall. It rained once in three weeks, and the streets and sidewalks were filthy with a stench of sewer gas. Particulate emissions collect on vehicles from smog. Its also crowded as hell with cars parked on both sides of the street. You gotta have a big ass grow or a shit load of roomies to pay bills.

West Tenn has its good and bad. There's plenty of open space, lush green foliage, rainfall, and mineral rich water from 1000' deep artesian wells. Lots of rivers and streams, and plenty of corn fields for you auto lovers. You can rent a 4-5 bedroom home here on a few acres neighboring forests and abandoned farms for less than the cost of a 2-3 bedroom near Glendale. I can jump on my rm250 and be in the bottoms in 3-4 minutes. I can be in downtown Memphis in 10-15 minutes. You gotta love Cali though, cant wait to start my grow in Santa Cruz, 100 sq ft canopy and 3 lbs is right on man. You Memfrica boys, hit me up if any wanna join me in cali. I got the landraces!

Alabama is poised to be the first southern medical state, if the governor doesn't veto the bill. If it flies, the south will be growing the best herb. The farm land and rainfall down here are phenomenal, plus abundant sources of free organic feeds.

Tennessee is nice, and I absolutely love it. I've seen most of it, probably least familiar with far western TN. Eastern TN is just wonderful.

It would be amazing if Alabama went medical. I really love Alabama too, especially the northwest corner which is very beautiful (Muscle Shoals + Florence area) and of course the coast. I'm probably going to have to move in the next 6 - 8 months, and I'm looking hard at the Gulf as a destination - a medical AL next to a decriminalized MS, that would be nice.

I did some storm chasing during the early to mid 2000's. One storm in particular that treated me well was hurricane Ivan. I worked mostly around the coastal area of southwest AL, in a great little town called Foley. Gulf shores and Orange Beach is very close. I saw some great guerrilla locations, forest loaded with palms. That blew me away, I'm a tree man, but never saw blue crab crossing streets sideways, or a palm tree forest.

Here's a link about Tennessee's SB 0251 and HB 0294. Both bills are languishing in committees.

I could be happy with either state. The gulf has been on my mind for a long time, has just never worked out. It would be different, not used to gators exactly, but I could dig on the swamps and estuaries.

Thanks for the link. Maybe if we can get one state to go the rest of the South will crack. Best wishes ~
