Lovely looking plants bushweed mate!
Got a little question as to how you cleared that lantana,
What tools and methods would you recommend to clear it similar to how you have?
Been hacking through it as of lately and just curious as to how you deal with it

Hi jesus, I use a long handled scythe to clear the lantana (not truly a scythe - just a curved blade at the end of a long handle), which is pretty effective. And a nice tool to have when encountering interlopers Alternatively you could use a machete, I just find the longer handle makes it easy to clear the ground vines and roots. This is followed up with a mattock to turn the soil. Then throw a couple of handfuls of lime and a bag of cow shit and turn again, followed by stronger manures - chicken, sheep, horse, dynamic lifter etc. - a good two foot away from the centre where the plant will go in.
This is what i do anyway.

Ah okay, yeah I have been using a machete (45cm i think) also good for any interlopers
,Yes the ground vines, I have cleared the top 3/4's of my site it just seems like the there is a lot of ground vines i am stepping on (dont think i even stood on the soil when i was there last!)
I may just come back next time and hack away with the machette and mattock to get to the soil beneath, got to say without any petrol powered tools to clear that you have done a great job.,
I may follow your advice for the amendments as well,

Scythe, machete and a good firefighters rake hoe will take care of any lantana, weed and vines
Yesss...the rake hoe...tool of choice, good for everything...digs, hoes and rakes..one of.the best weapons of the Country Fire Authority.
Sorry for the lack of updates. My upload allowance is full, but now I've figured I can manage the uploads as attachments and see how long that lasts...

I think you would qualify easily, as you post the most amazing outdoor sativas on ICMAG.
Just PM a mod, I'm sure they will increase your allowance to what ever you need to keep up the show.
Hey mate, some nice plants there, and the photos of the scenery at the start of the thread are amazing. I live in byron and thought about planting around that area but put if off because of distance but seeing those photos of the scenery and the natural soil there compared to what im working with made me wish I did. Looking forward to more great photos from you

what do you put it down to, the giant ganja? you get plenty of hours of sun over summer. i mean do they grow as big 2 hours north?, 4 hours north?
i know prep and maintenance is the key. but im just asking about latitude etc. i know i could grow the same as the imbin guys, just i have a winter here.
more so putting up for debate the best areas to grow ganja based on a light hour / growth/yield comparison.
basically im the examining the idea that those plants wont grow as big up north, due to fewer vegetative light hours.

Hi cannabis fecund....I'm at 29 degrees latitude, which is a similar latitude to a lot of Mexico, which according to R Clarke is the best climate for cannabis (subtropical). We also have volcanic soil here from a massive old shield volcano (100 kms diameter) which contributes to large growth. But I believe they grow equally large and maybe larger, up to 400 kms north of here, beyond which it becomes more tropical with odd seasons, that I don't quite understand
I only have a few big ones this year....probably a meter or two smaller than Kanga's though...he was talking about 25 foot
