What's new

poor mans setup...Deadwood!

I love your approach! It takes money to get a nice setup but its not point and shoot like a lot of beginners think. I started with an aerotub a decade ago, done dwc and now i'm strictly coco buckets. You live and ya learn; hopefully:) I'll stay tuned like where you're headin!

Thanks carl! look forward to seeing you around!

update...bugs everywhere!:(( trying to kill the flying ones by squashing and larve with dunks...gonna go get some sticky traps today i think. but on a positive note they stretched two inches overnight putting laverne at 33 inches...i hope i can get this bug prob under control i cant wait to see the yield!

In my experience 50% mortality for pesticide is pretty normal. I have good luck with baked potato wedges. I place them on the media, larvae go into it. remove in the "morning". Helps alot. trapping the adults helps out too of course.

You're off to a pretty good start! Just wait til your 'poor mans' setup produces 'rich man' buds!

It's pretty late in the grow but for the future, I would cover the rockwool cubes with something to keep algae and other nasties from growing on it.

Love that you're learning as you go. Experience is the best teacher. Good luck!

@ super ...welcome  enjoy!

@hobby... i will definately try that ...a bit more care on overall cleanliness for sure!! thanks for the input

might wanna up your nutes a little the next res change. the plant on the right with all the yellow leaves is hungry for more nitrogen.

how are your bugs coming along?

stihgnobevoli...funny you said that just upped the nutes slightly on a nute add ...not complete change up.....also the bugs seem to be dwindling thanks to me spending an hour a day squashing them and all the advise i have received on here...i have tried a little of what everyone has suggested and it seems to be working so wish me luck and wish them death!!!

small update.. half inch height growth overnight and the flowers seem to have doubled in size overnight!... also someone on another thread said deadwood is clone only...is this even possible? seems like a well planned hermie could change that..? any thoughts?

by clone only they probably just meant there are no males in this strain...

but go ahead, make some S1 seeds :good: :jump:
