Can I start my articulated position with 'whatever'?
Just what was known, when and by whom,is purely speculation and conjecture...despite the timelines (and Herman's mistresses) that CNN likes to parade around as 'news'
There's a big difference between sworn testimony in front of a grand jury, and "speculation and conjecture". You can find the grand jury testimony online and read it yourself if you're really interested.
IMO anyone who knew about this and did not report it to the Pennsylvania State Police deserves to get fired.
McQueary is nothing but a coward. At 28 years of age he should have intervened on the boys behalf or called the PSP instead of "calling Daddy".
Paterno. Total douchebag and totally epitomizes the reason why I dislike sports. Cares about nothing but "winning" and his stupid team. When he realized that nothing was happening legally to Sandusky after reporting it to his superiors he should have gone to the PSP himself, instead of he chose to protect the school, his team, and his record. I hope people sue the shit out of him and he winds up penniless and panhandling.
The truly ironic thing is that if the State Police had been notified by Paterno back in 1998 or 2002, (or whenever this was first known), it would have been a scandal, but much less of one than it currently is, Paterno would have been looked on favorably for exposing a pedophile, and the school would have recovered from the scandal by now.
I find it utterly amazing that so many people could have known about this yet did nothing.
i believe it's a crime not to report a crime,is it not? please correct me if i am wrong....
Professionals Required to ReportPennsylvania law says that school employees "who, in the course of the employment, occupation or practice of their profession, come into contact with children" are supposed to report suspected abuse. Bev Mackereth of Pennsylvania's Office of Children, Youth and Families declined to comment on whether that would cover the Penn State officials embroiled in the scandal.
