i knew you would like it,seemed like a good fit for what you are doing...

For sure dude...it's working out sweet. I'll be running the offspring of this cross....probably before spring. The plants run well together...my flower studio is going off.

Those DTC's look superb. :good: Love the road you're taking here! :tiphat:

Thanks man. Just came home from the Charger/Packer game....tough being at home and having more of their fans than your own. The Packer fans were decent enough folks...felt I had to scream harder than normal....didn't want them to think our fans don't care. Rough loss...rough season...shook hands with all the cheesers at the end....ain't no poor sport. Peace out

INTs are killing you guys. Rivers is chuckin it this year to the other team at a mighty clip. Think he has 13 or 14 already. You guys can score like fiends, though. Turned todays seeming massacre competitive. 'Coulda been worse' is cold comfort, I know.

Garden is rocking & rolling. The Odessa line is solid gold, nice combo w/those two particular lines. Serves multiple purposes. Don't remember exactly what the Tweedy was but the DTC99 cross sounds superb, most lines can benefit from a stiff shot of Cindy and Casey. :)

We live and die with Phil. He's a riverboat gambler.....I saw that last pick coming the second he let her go. Our home games are like road games when some teams come to town. We were overflowing with Green Bay fans. My voice is gone..." Yer a punk Rogers!!" "I hate you Rogers"....all game long...as loud as I could. Had a Packer family with 3 generations represented sitting in the row in front of us....they were tripping for a while...but...we were cool.

All and all...their fans weren't that bad. Raider games are way way way worse....because there are a bunch of gangster types that just want think themselves bad. A dude from SD who represents himself as a Raider fan....is generally...a posing idiot. I'll stand by that. The most lame ass shit I've ever seen at a pro sports event. Move to Oakland posers....feel me homez?

Tweedy IX1= Mango Haze X F13.....created by retardo motabon. Nice ass plants.

I bet Odessa IX1 x DTC99 will give you some mind blowing experiences man :D
Great job :thank you:

Indeed....that's my prediction as well. This cross I consider pivotal...because I feel that it will take me away from some of the more Casey Jones dominant plants....even though "Casey Jones dominant plants" is a very general description. If you have grown Casey however...you kind of will know what I mean. There are certain "general" expressions that show through often. Odessa (Casey Jones X Cindy Jones) is a step away from Casey...a necessary step....but still...just a step. All that makes up Odessa can be easily found in the IX1 generation and is worthy material...but...is not my vision....it is nothing original.

I'm attempting to find my own expressions...plants that when looked upon...one would say: "hey man...that's a pablos creation".....when I see super Casey dominant plants....I tend to say: "hey man...there is H3ad's creation"....the same with many of my Short crosses....they are so obviously Short's work....I look at them as knock offs. Unoriginal/not something I created.

Takes time....1st I must find generalizations....2nd I must be able to keep finding said generalizations....3rd I must keep breeding them to find definite unique variations....4th I must be able to map out definite routes into those variations....5th....it just keeps repeating essentially...but...

I'm starting to narrow down my direction....may or may not appear that way...yet...I'm getting comfortable enough with some of the variations in the expressions that...I see where I need to go with them. I've never backcrossed anything (still not cloning individuals)...and I'm not sure it is actually necessary. I'm going to attempt to lock down desired expressions via generational inline breeding. I believe I can get close enough to claim: accuracy

It takes no great talent nor genius to breed decent plant expressions. The 1st generations are more or less representatives of the parental material....therefore...if one uses decent genetics...one will most likely breed decent plant expressions (though hardly original).....I'm just attempting to progress beyond the infant stages. Takes time....crawl....stand...walk...run...fly...etc etc etc

What I have found in the Pathways (life)....vision is never consistent for very long. You can either accept that or waste your time fighting (trying to control chaos) what can not be fought. My vision is not the same as it was a year ago...nor do I expect/desire it to be the same a year from now. When documenting the progressions in the garden...I realize this to be...very obvious.

Update on the July germination sessions...DTC99 F4 and MVTF X GK...yup..all this stuff was started back in July. Funny how time goes by.

MVTF X GK.....retardo motabon's creation....are now at day 35 flower stage...2 are pollinated with Tweedy IX1 (Mango Haze X F13) which is also a retardo motabon creation. These are quick plants....1 of 3 already looks to be turning over. Hefty expressions as well...

this one is the one that is turning over...note the browning of the pistils. I'm still blasting her with P...but...may well start flushing in the next few days...if in fact...I believe she wants to finish

Seeded flower....2 of 3 pollinated with the Tweedy....looks like there will be an ample harvest of beans...both the seeded flowers look like this

Aromas....grapey musk...not super strong as far as...I don't walk into the studio and get slammed with stank...
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

The "scout" DTC99 at day 54. This plant reeks it up pretty good...funky tropical aroma...I've smelled this before. It's not a sweet C99 tropical though...less the sweet....more...a funk.

I screwed her up a bit by not keeping on the micro/N...once I cut it out of the feed....she went yellow fast. I've made a mental note for the rest of the DTC99...*stay on the micro/N longer....but...that's why I like to run a recon when running a batch of plants...gives me an idea of what to expect/how they feed/how they stretch/finish Xs...etc..no biggie...she'll turn out fine. I actually started flushing her today. She has slowed way down on her uptake of feed...the last week she has kind of gone into slow motion in that way....so maybe...I figure...it's as good a time as any to start flush...* I'll keep an eye on her...if she changes her mind...I'll resume feeding...

EDIT: the aroma of the DTC99 isn't really "tropical"...it's throwing me off because I've smelled this same thing before. She smells a lot like the Mikado mom I had....and a lot like the Wipe Out girls I just finished a while back (which used the Mikado mom)...it's like a nonspecific aroma...but...distinct. I really like it...just can't place it exactly on the aroma scale.

I'm thinking that once I grow out the DTC99 X Odessa that I'm going to cross into Wipe Out (Mikado X I-HOP GK)....that is the thought that came into my head just now...as I was face down into this DTC99 girl. It may not happen for another year or so...depending on how the DTC99 X Odessa cross comes out (though in my mind...there is no question on how that will come out)...but...I can see a good match up there. The smoke from the Wipe Out is flavorful and heady...sativa all day long....even the structures in the Wipe Out and this DTC99 girl match up well.....kind of blowing my mind in similarity.

I believe: the paths one takes...the reasoning behind those paths....the recognition of the signs that make up the selections of those paths are sometimes benign to chaos....though...you may no see it right away. I believe in patterns....and then I don't

i noted my dtc99's always started dropping fans as soon as i flipped them, but if i did a transitional type feeding it just slowed flowering down, and i never really noted them slowing down really.they also seem to go through a final burst of flowering when you start to flush...indeed,by the time they were ready to harvest the larger percentage of the fans had already dropped off on their own...

Yeah...I removed about 8 used up fans...let them yellow then wither up before removing. She has not blasted (stopped stacking) in at least 5 days.....her hair is starting to brown up in places (I usually let them brown a bit before flush).....she looks ready to flush. I'm thinking I won't have many leaves to trim....the way she eats her leaves is like self manicuring.

What was your average finish Xs? What aromas were you getting? I've found that most crosses with C99 in them...tend to finish fast for sativa hybrids. I'm guessing this girl to be done around 70 the way she looks now....but I think C told me....he had some 90 day expressions as well. Not this girl though...no way 90 unless I screwed her up.

my keeper went to 70 days, and when i started the flush thats when the calyxs would swell and the buds would fill in and gain weight but your right, they pretty well stop stacking at that point.
i always describes the dtc99 as sorta smelling like a really nice thai whorehouse, sorta nag champa, flowers, fruit and sex combined....

Yeah...for some reason...this particular plant seems pretty familiar to me. Looking at her sisters (the 2 I hit with the Odessa pollen)...I believe they are going to look similar to this one I'm showing. I should have them dialed in a little bit better though...and they are running as topped plants (the one I'm showing was defoliated but never topped). They'll probably be bigger as well.

The aroma...yeah again...I can understand how you could describe it the way you do. And again....it's a pretty familiar aroma to me. Can't place it...but it's something I've had before...and recently. It's that same trippy smell...I do like it...and after having so much love for my Mikado mom and her Wipe Out offspring...I recognize it as a positive sign. Same smell.

nice unc....yeah dude...DTC99 will work out in my program. After you grow enough varieties...cross them and everything....you usually know before harvest whether a plant is worth a shit or not. It's not really even guessing. I haven't had very many bummer expressions in the last year or so...

In fact...if you are going to breed as you go (run it PPP style)....you must be able to select and be accurate on the fly. You don't have a lot of time to sight in....you must obtain a clear sight picture quickly to be able to be successful...and keep taking trophies.

***on that note...Conglomerate (Congo X Grape Krush) is fucking ripping ass weed. I dig that African stuff...I managed to get enough beans (from stray pollen) off the plants....that I'll be able to go back in and hopefully replicate those expressions. I'm pretty sure the stray pollen was from Cindy Moon Jones (Blue Moonshine X Cindy Jones) nanners....remember I had that one CMJ put out down low nanners...before I culled her late in flower? Anyway...I'd use those beans just to get back in there.

EDIT: I've been toking on Conglomerate....even now....yeah buddy. I'm patting myself on the back for making that one.

Yeah man! I've just been thinking of taking the Congos into my Bangis/Glorias. Get some more of the african magic this way - for the lack of a Bangi male.

I'm smoking the Africans all night tonight. My crazy Bangi witches coming back to me. Good shit. Wide awake at 4:30 am after a very long day at uni. phew. Lot's of work done tonight.

I remember you saying you're into Blackberries. Would you like to share what you have learned interesting about them?

Full on gardening madness. I'm reading books about trees and forestry. I want my own forest he he.

Cheers!

Blackberry fascinations

Blackberry fascinations

1. Bullet proof plants...will grow in almost any PH/medium...climate

2. I like the pruning and training of the cane aspect....trellis wire between post...pruning for yields and seasons

3. I like that they are very easy to propagate....from suckers particularly

4. I like that they produce only on 2nd year cane (Flora cane) and not on 1st year (primo cane)....makes it easy to cut back plants...as you can see the expended canes easily

5. many varieties of Blackberries....thorn/thornless....hybrids....and different flavors in berries...sizes of fruit

6. Blackberries are a very healthy fruit...and very expensive in the store. I can grow an abundant amount.....they grow very well for me in my full sun. I can farm Blackberries on a small amount of land...and could sell them for a profit. I can't do that with anything else I grow in my veggie gardens. Everything else...volume and price don't match up.

Last time for a little while...

Last time for a little while...

....I'll be showing any Odessa IX1 (Casey Jones X Cindy Jones) or DTC99 F4.....I'll show this stuff...then let them cook in their various stages.

Couple Odessa at day 32...these were the plants pollinated with the Tweedy IX1 (Mango Haze X F13). They are blasting off...

...and one of the seeded buds

Now we have these 3 plants...which have been vegged for an extended time...topped at least 10Xs....hedged up several Xs...and now placed into flower...this morning

Odessa/ DTC99 / Odessa....should be a fun batch

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Tweedy IX1 section.....Day 38

1st up...alone on her own for the pix....is the F13 leaner (let's just say: this is pretty much a green pheno Flo....for sure a Flo...no doubt about it)......she won't be a big yielder of course...but she is a resin pumping thingy...might she be up for a 58-65 day finish? We'll have to watch and see

Her seeded flower...yup producing a sound amount of Tweedy IX1 X Odessa IX1

***So RM takes and mashes the Mango Haze to the F13....I come along and take the most F13 leaning expression and add the Odessa in hopes of getting the same flower....but...with added size/girth...the explosion of Odessa growth hopefully tagging into the Mango Haze velocity...maybe I can hit into a more aggressive and bigger F13 style plant. Either way...I'll find exceptional head/high...that's my wager....respects on the side of sativa.

here's the "other" sisters. They are starting to charge forth...you can see some burnt leaf tips on one of them...I'm pushing heavy on the nutrients...the tip burn is the P...but it's paying off. Seeing blended F13/Haze hybrids....so far not too hard one way or the other (the one with the tip burn is probably the most Mango Haze leaner)....heavily tied up...but...not complaining

Seeded flower...making the IX2

Ive got a killer strawberry plant that is unreal in growth, vigor, and fruit.
I think my only blueberry died this year but all the blackberries that are four years old now are still rolling and everywhere! Cloning fruiting plants is fun, suckers just take off :)

^ Beautiful specimens, I really like the girl on the left, sexy as hell:D

Yeah critter....I grow strawberries down a retaining wall...and am in the process of expanding their range. It's easy to make more strawberry and blackberry plants....and in fact...is hard not too.

I'm becoming more organized in the cultivation of my berry plants...previously I had not been...kind of just winged it. Now I've set up separate gardens...driving posts....stretching wire...propagating...researching....getting set up in a more serious fashion.

I've tried Blueberry plants here..twice..failed both times due to heat.
