What do you think of my new piece, fellas?

How's everything doing tonight? I had gone down to my local headshop, seen it, then kinda had to buy it. It's a Pure Glassware(Company) piece. The top piece comes off so you can put it in the freezer, instead of having to use ice.

Alright, next I wanted some feedback on if you think I'm being overly safe. Making a prediction that one of my stoned ass friends would grab the top part when passing it and the bottom half would just small and shatter. So what I did was install a kind of safety grip to hold the pieces together. One clamp is tightened by a screw driver, the other clamp is a thumb twist so it's easily removable when you desire to separate but at the same time adding enough stability to safely pass the piece while holding the top.

When the ice chamber comes out of the freezer it makes a really neat looking picture. I'll have to upload one.

nice nice, ive seen smaller plastic clips that are made to hold glass on glass joints together to avoid accidental seperation but those were for for 14mm and 18mm size tapers. wonder if they make clips for that size?

kinda like the clamp that holds the bag on a volcano solid valve mouthpiece.

Thanks! It was 425$ for the piece and the ashcatcher was 80$. Definitely a good investment, she RIPS.

I agree, where would I even begin to look for that? The clamps are pretty hefty, but I truly couldn't see this bong lasting very long without something that holds it together.

Thanks, so far it's deemed worth the money. I'm going to baby it, it's thick, it has a good amount of weight to it. Which is not to my advantage.

Tell me about it. You really have to take care of a piece if you want it to last, and even if you do there's always a pretty large chance it will end up broken soon enough.
