DAMN! welcome back true. I'm < 2 weeks into a 3 week cure. I'll have a full smoke report when I complete. I also have your Grandaddy have in the stables ready for my next cycle.

Thanks for the genetics

Cheesedog Final Report

11 seeds - 7 fem, 4 mal
-1 herm ( I had snapped the stem during veg so I assume I stressed it to become intersexed. No fault of the breeders, you just can't push chem strains too hard I've read )
----------------------
6 Cheesedogs

- Had 2 keeper phenos CD3 and CD4

CD4 had a lot more glandular trichome production but CD3 had the edge with better aroma. My gf loves any cannabis that smells and tastes great.

CD3 - Has a marvelously strong fruity/berry cheesy smell with a chem zing that lingers in your nostrils. Noone has ever smelled anything like it over here before. Totally unique. the magic is inside the bud. As soon as you break it open you get a solid CHEM smack in the face. Very dense flowers and quick to finish (42-50 days)

My gf commented that the medicinal effects were vary evident. She felt an immediate indica hit with a potent and CLEAR high, not stone. Very uplifting and ultra smooth to smoke. Make sure you have munchies nearby because this one is highly suited for increasing your appetite. Which is perfect for my gf and her Crohns. It last a long-time as well. 2-3 hours with no-ceiling. There is also some very noticeable anti-inflammatory responses as well. you can feel the pain immediately subside as the cannabinoid system regulates the inflammatory response in the body. I can't wait to get this strain tested at our local canna-research lab.

Note the taste of this was reported to be smooth and slightly earthy/skunky. The taste wasn't as dominant as it should be do to the fact that I made the mistake of trimming each bud and separating them from the main shoot. Which caused the buds to dry out too quickly. Which dropped my RH below 55% and I was simply forced to put up with dried and not cured buds. It took about 2 weeks of glass jar storage for the taste to improve. Well worth the wait afterwards though.

All the others phenos smelled close to the same without the berry/fruit smell. Mostly chemmy smells.

Cultural tips:

I'de suggest a min of 55 days of veg and keeping a balanced pH of 6.5 and give some extra N in the first weeks of 12/12. Overall, an aggressive and heavy feeding plant. Easy to clone and easy on the eyes. Make sure you have your filters running because in late flowering my house reaked like sour cheese. :) The cheese phenos are picky on PH and nutes.

Highly recommended. 9.5 out of 10. Stay tuned for round 2 with this pheno. ;)

photos: Cheesedog and the last ones are the Tahoe OG and CD4. both finished remarkably and both will be cured not dried next round. ;) the final photo is from a short hike we took yesterday for some early season pow. This is where it was tested.

I need a fancy macro lens in the future.

Awesome grow chief. I just converted to TLO about 1 year ago. Still learning and tweaking my soil recipes/layers/spikes. Like your soil mixing suggestions. How do you like the taste of those TLO produced buds? I was a die hard sythetic fert. fan til I tasted TLO produced bud; nothing better. How are your Tahoe OG plants doing? Just getting ready to pop some of those beans/first time to grow this strain TLO. Any tips??? Very impressive grow.

Nice to meet a fellow TLO friend. I'm about to post my updated recipe for my next journal. The main difference is peat moss replacing the coco to lower the pH and absolutely NO synths. My recipe will differ from the Rev's original recipe. I wont be using any manures or blood and bone meal (There are many reasons that I would never use these, a lengthy topic). The only poop I'll be using is my favorite Earthworm Castings and I've reduced my Mexican and Jamaican bat guano's. I guess you can say my new recipe will be ablend of the REVs TLO style and Kyle Kushmans Veganics with a side of chief love.

I'm also introducing a living mulch of clover and grass in my next grow. stay tuned...

I haven't smelled cannabis this strong before so TLO must be the key. Now I'll have to report back on taste since this grow I dried and didn't cure. The only comment is that its ultra smooth. To have a more precise experiment I will have to source a popular cut and see if my product turns our danker or not.

The Tahoes finished of strong. with small gallon pots they each yielded over an ounce. Heavy pine og smell. They still haven't been sampled yet. Nov.14th is their date. I chose one pheno to reveg due to its impressive smells and structure. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

when did you pick up your strawberry alien? and what's the exact cross? sounds tasty, got me some sour alien and i love it. good job on the the cheesedog, does the cheese lower the flowering time significantly? i would've expected at least a 65 day harvest.. or do you just prefer the heady chop?

cheers, stay safe

Thanks for tuning in Vanilla, I picked up my strawberry alien kush 2 months ago. Here is the lineage:

Kyle Kushmans Strawberry Cough (Strawberry Fields x Haze) X Alien Kush (Las Vegas Purple Kush X Alien dog) F2's

I bought it after the breeder sweared it was his tastiest erb. Can't wait. ;)

The flowering time was lowered last round because I used a proudct called bushmaster that forced them into early flowering which shortening flowering. It said the product contained only kelp extract but I am skeptical so I won't be using bushmaster ever again. and I do like a heady high. Since it was our first cycle we wanted some stimulating cannabis. We live in an area dominated by narcotic kush's, its nice to have something different. The more sat phenos went approx 65days.
