Come on dub...think K.I.S.S. You can do it...look around my friend..it's all good lol. Man lol

i been reading more and more that when using maxibloom it is real hard to control ph. i have not had a meter or had to use ph up or down in years. i just mix 60/40 or 70/30 ro/tap and my ph is spot on with lucas. whats been your experience?

Not bad for a first try at hempy. I had a couple of more jars but forgot to take the pic.

My tap water's ph is high..right around 7.8. After mixing in the maxibloom it drops to 6. I don't have a ph meter yet ( I need to get one), just using drops. But if your ph swings that's not a bad thing.

As long as you follow Hempy's original K.I.S.S. program then you should have no problems with Hempy buckets.

Medium can be perlite, 3:1 ratio perl/verm mix or coco. If using coco make sure you fill the rez area with perlite.

Use PASSIVE HYDRO nutes, follow the instructions on the bottle and make sure your ph is between 5.6 and 6.2. No additives (voodoo juice etc) is necessary just the nutes is all you need.

Then grow yourself a crop like this...

The flower pics are done under just one 400w bulb. The veg pic is done under shit cfl lights. Hempy buckets rule!

You can use whatever nutes you'd like.. some say hydro nutes are best.. but it's all a matter of preference

:yeahthats

FNB at first, now Maxibloom. I do add a TBS of epson salt, though.

Kinda weird, I had to use pH down with the FNB and pH up for the maxibloom.

Hey grass where have you been, haven't seen you around?

Lets just say I been busy man. Busy busy busy. I aint growing in my house atm. Paranoia lol. Too many people knew I was growing! Too much heat! Working on geurilla shit atm tho.

And Warped. Stop telling people that they can use any nutes they like in hempy buckets. This is bad advice dude, tut tut.

In the Hempy buckets, you want any PASSIVE HYDRO nutes if you are using an inert medium which is neutral ph (such as perlite/vermiculite, hydroton etc).

Well I'm just saying what Hempy (the inventor of this grow method) himself says peeps, and I get great results.

Hempy uses Canna Classic (aka Hydro aka Substra, depending on which country you live in), in a 10L bucket, and we all know how impressive his plants are.

I must admit I know jack shit about the lucas formula. All I know is that it's probably the most used nutes when it comes to ganja growing. If the lucas formula is for passive hydro, then yes you can use it in Hempy buckets.

I'm using Dyna-Gro Grow + MagiCal+ Dyna-Gro Pro-Tek . All per the "hydroponic" dosages on the bottle...except Silica @ 50-75% reccomended strength
R/O water ( occasionally a little tap mixed in)
Coco Hempys with a nice layer of hydroton on the bottom.
when I first mix 5gal I adjust pH to 5.9-6.05...it tends to drift up ever so slightly over the few days it takes me to use the 5 gal.

Any suggestions?
