Decided against the Roots Organic's Coco Mix.

Ended up buying some Roots Organics Bat Guano (Nitrogen Style)
and a Huge Bag of Root's Organics Earth Worm Castings
Also a Huge bag of Coarse Perlite
and a Brick of CocoGro

picture.php

I realized the 18 Gallon Bucket a Purchased from WalMart for 7.00 was a little to small.... So I dumped everything on some panda plastic.

I then filled up the Wal Mart tub about 3/4 full and did a stronger mix of EWC and Bat Guano... with extra perlite.

I put this in all 23, 3 gallon bags up to about 30% of the way....

Then I topped the rest with a mixture from the tarp which was much weaker for the first phase of growth.

I'm excited!!! The Earth Juice Sea Blast that I'm using is low in nitrogen and high in PK, so that's why my mix is this way.

I'm going to do a flush on each bag with a few gallons of water and then finally a Cal/Mag / Compost Tea Dressing to top them off before transplant.

All Organic and looking forward to the flavor!

SOTF420, I know I'm only supposed to eat my salad toppers, but You'll be happy to find that I'm at leasting going organic :) and, I'll be treating them with extra care.

So far the Blue Hash From Dinafem are the first to stand up, but.... this strain is always that way.

Followed by The Female C99's and the SWT#4's Coming along right behind...

picture.php

I'd explain the whole thing... but I'll just take a photo of the seating chart a little later tonight so that you can see for yourself which one is which.

By tomorrow I expect 90% to be standing up and within 48 hours all of them.

Then it's off to the coco mix!! :dance013::dance013:

So far....

3 Blue Hash are Up and out.
2 Blue Hash are almost out. (1 looking weak)
4 C99 are up and out.
2 C99 are almost out.
2 Sweet Tooth are up and out. (1 stood up today and is already super thick, these are the crazy strong seeds)
3 sweet Tooth seeds are completely under still.... but something tells me they will be out tomorrow :)
Purple Haze is Up and out
Pineapple Express is almost out.
Nebula is still under.
Skywalker is almost out
Auto AK is up and out.

I believe I'll have 100% success.

:rtfo:

The only regular seeds that I'll have to sex are the SWT#4 and the Skywalker.

The Skywalker was from 1 Hermie on a large plant, so it should be female, and if all goes well, won't male out on me.

So really, out of 5 SWT#4 seeds, I'm planning on 2-3 Females...
Either way, at least 1.

Tomorrow the 8 Bulb T5 will go up, so that will total 648 Watts and 12 T5 Bulbs in the Veg Room.

If all is well I'm going to transplant them to their home tomorrow, and see how the humidity is in the tent. Right now it's zero!!! (Seeds are in a Dome, so they're fine)

But with 23 Bags of Coco mix in there, it might be a little different.

I'm also building my Tea Brewer Tomorrow. Fuck Yeah, TEA rules.

And..... I'm gonna chop some wood.

Peace

Someone say Sweet Tooth? ;)

Sending you much love my brother, I just caught up on this new thread and this is very exciting! A skilled grower of your caliber needs more room to spread out so I'm very happy to hear about the new larger spot this is just ultra awesome. You need this! :good:

Organic too? :respect: :woohoo:

Now those few little sweeties are likely growing deep down below first before they prop up, just make sure you get those little sweet salad toppers into their new homes right away and they will thank you for it since those long taproots are searching for somewhere to go and once they are well established they are going to grow like, well, big strong weeds! :bigeye: :canabis:

I'll be watching this one closely brother! Gonna be a big frosty party for sure! :friends: :smoke out:

I wish you all the best for all your little sprouts! I do also hope they all come up strong if that is the will of the universe! If not then we will just have to send you more! :) :tiphat:

Thanks SOTF420, I hope they all stand up soon.

I just transplanted every seedling to their new home.

I ended up adding some chunky coco to the mix :)

Now I turned all the T5's on and I'm waiting an hour or two, then I'll check humidity and temps.

Tomorrow I'll work on an oscillating fan to get some air moving around. Right now, It's time to wash my hands again and smoke a fatty.

I gave Coco a shot with my Durban poison,... Meh, not personally impressed, Probably would have kicked ass if I was more into the Hydro side.

Also gave a blend of Coco and FFOF a go outdoors this summer,..... wouldn't you fuckin know it, termites like to eat Coco! Apparently the roots of my plant got in the way, so those little fucks bored in and holowed her out! Lost a nearly 6' tall bush right as flower started.

This should be an awesome SOG! One question tho, specially with an auto in there, how ya gonna keep an even canopy? You KNOW with that spread of genetics some will be short and squat, others will throw on some legs come flip time!!!

@ Canni - Damn that sucks about the termites.

I'm having the bug guy come and spray my whole workshop this week, that should help me alot.

As far as the Canopy. I'll be fighting with it the whole time, but that's okay.

I'll be vegging for 2-3 weeks at most to keep everything fairly even, then I'll be LST'ing and Super-cropping the ones that like to stretch a lot. Also, I'll be trimming all Side branches and focusing on the Main Cola for each plant.

This should b interesting.

The whole point of this SOG is to pick a few moms... and start my perpetual grow.

So right now, I'm researching what I'll be doing for my flower room.

I'll snap some pics tonight, had another Sweet Tooth pop up last night.... Everything looks great.

Temps are 75 ambient, 80 right at the top of the plants and 50% humidity... I'm stoked!!!

I know it's hard to tell, but things are going really well in there :)

I'm posting NO MORE PHOTOS. haha for like a week or so, then I'll have some actual small plants to show you guys.

Temps are solid, humidity is holding steady.... I need some air movement, and I'll handle that Friday when the fan comes in.

I fed them all some fresh EWC tea that had a really small amount of Bat Guano and Buffalo Compost in it. I gave it to them full strength... really just trying to feed the coco for now.

Also got another set of SunGrip Easy light hangers.... now I'm getting comfortable again.

Next watering will be straight water and some Humboldt Nutrients SeaCal and SeaMag. (Should have put that shit in the tea.. Damn)

I have most of the seeds I started with.... maybe tomorrow I'll do the final count and name all the stains that made it.

I'm most concerned about my sweet tooth #4 IBL seeds, I lost a few... but luckily two made it and I'm really hoping for a female.

Now, on to me learning more about coco and organics.

Here are some pics.

I have some deficiencies right away and I don't think they are PH issues, PH seems good.

Here are some pics, any thoughts or advice would be great.

I thought I noticed that they were light green and could use some nitrogen...

This makes sense as I barely put any bat guano in the coco mix and there isn't much nitrogen in my nutrients.

Also noticed a pretty bad Calcium deficiency. I don't think it's from overwatering, because it's coco... and I'm not that rookie... but the peat pucks were a little moist causing a slow in growth.... anyways, I've heard coco robs the CalMag so I'm going with that theory.

I mixed a big batch of some Humboldt SeaCal and SeaMag and then added some Nitro Bat Guano and Molasses.

Hopefully that does the trick!!!

Any advice for me?

Peace

Brewing a Tea as we speak.

Roots Organics Nitro Guano and Earth Worm Castings with Mycorrhizae all in a paint strainer bag suspended in the middle of my black 5 gallon bucket with two airstones in the bag.

For the water.

HOT tap water then aerated with two airstones for a few hours...

Then added Earth Juice Hi Brix Molasses to the water with some lot's of calcium and magnesium... (SeaCal and SeaMag from humboldt... two bottles I happened to have)

I'll also add some Earth Juice Sea Blast Powdered Nutrients at a low dose.

Now... I'll let it brew :)

I'll water heavily next go to help finish feeding the Coco and I should be free of Deficiencies within two weeks.

Maybe Next Time I'll mix in some Dolomite and precharge my Coco after a Very thorough Flush. I don't know why I ignored the masses :(

use some gh organic cal/mag. im using the gh organic bio thrive grow 10ml,gh organic cal/mag,10ml,bat guano/neptunes kelp per gallon of r.o. water.its about 30 ppm the water. r.o. cartridge is getting played.

i wouldnt worry bout any dolomite lime.treat coco like hydro, unlike promix. too much lime will cause ya problems. try my combo up above. zero problems. im in some unknown brand coco. no rinsing. water each time as i do with the combo above. i dont tds,or ph anymore.

16 Total Plants are in the tent now. All are feminized except for the sweet tooth and the skywalker.

3 Blue Hash
5 Cindy 99
1 Acid
1 Wappa
2 Sweet Tooth #4 (Hoping for a female)
1 Purple Haze
1 Nebula
1 Skywalker (please be female)
1 Auto AK

I also Just transplanted 7 Lemon Skunk bag seeds (Was nice product, surprised to see the seeds) They all stood up almost overnight, with 100% standing in about 36 Hours. (after 24 hour soak in shot glass, with all popping a tail)

They were transplanted into small 4"x3" little square plant containers (I just guessed on the size, I'm probably way off) with coco that I flushed with 5.5PH water for awhile then pretreated with nutrients and calmag.

these are all still on the heating mat under the dome... I'll leave them until they start growing and then into the tent until they show sex, then I'll choose the top 4 females.

That will be 20 total for this first run.

Normally I'll be running 12 at a time perpetual, but this is my mom run, I'll be cloning and running my favorites.

coco must be alot different than peat. i was suprised that you are feeding them already with the ewc and stuff mixed in - but they do look a little light in the pics... there are a ton of ppl around here that use coco im sure some folks in the know will chime in. i hope your tea perks them up!

obviously I have to get used to coco... problems were worse today...

Solution

Back to square one.

I'm doing what I should have done before I planted.

FLushing my coco completely, then I'm gonna let the little girls recover for awhile before I decide what to do, and what they really need.

I'm flushing with 5 gallons of water, I'm adding less than a cup of my tea just to keep everything living. The PH of my Flush water is being checked each 5 gallon bucket before I flush each plant 1 at a time with all 5 gallons. sort of orangey yellow haha so I'm guessing between 5 and 6 should be perfect.

In the meantime I went and bought the 29.00 Starter Kit of General Organics Entire line-up.

I wanted to buy their CalMag but they whole kit was so dang cheap.
