Damn good grow Ariston, should produce some good stash.
Satori is a very good strain overall. It's mostly sativa. I picked up some(very well grown) at a club in Cali and was very happy with it. Typical sativa high, effective.
If I were growing a Mandala strain it would probably be Mandala #1.

It dried quickly and curing has now started
Yielded 203 g = 7 1/6 ounces
And I threw away some bud! Found this budsite with some weird dust/web looking stuff. Couldnt identify it, didnt smell like mold, but I dont really care about saving a couple of grams to risk spread of spidermites or mold.

I also just grew sum ak-48 was ripe in 8 weeks was great smoke coverd in crystals fruity taste and smell mine never got that big tho looks great

Sounds like my first harvest not too long ago. Dried just a little too fast, but I am literally buzzing with excitement
It was a random bag seed that developed short and dense whose top was chewed off by our brat of a cat just at flower at three weeks and developed three thick seven inch-long colas.
The fan leaves with the bite marks I kept alive somehow on the plants, and they will be kept as souvenirs when fully harvested.
The smaller bottom flowers were pollinated since this plant was Bonsai-ed and no clones could be taken.

Well I have been curing this stuff and smoking it daily for over 6 weeks.
It has no taste really, very neutral compared to anything else.
It smells sour and lemony. It does have some kind of earthy aroma to it too.
The buds are a bit too airy. You weigh up 5g and it looks like 10g. This annoys me because it takes alot of place.
Although the potency is good. Id say between 10-15%. Doesnt seem to be so much of a body high. I just suffer from insomnia when smoking this late during the day.
It tastes best when smoked through a bong. Joints taste like crap, it sort of feels like it coats your mouth with tar. Its amazing how different it is when smoked through a bong.
But from pictures by the pros on this website, it doesnt look so good. I think next grow will be much, much better since I have figured things out. I know it will.

hey sorry for not answering, I didnt check this thread
I used clay pebbles. For that grow I used HESIs hydro set. I cant say I followed any schedule strictly, I tried following the feeding schedule that came with the nutrients, but the plants didnt always respond too well to it so I tried adjusing it. I pretty much ruined the nute proportions and the pH was a rollercoaster from day 1. The plant survived though.
What made it grow well was the RDWC style hydro. I get these huge root masses which sit in aerated water 24/7, so its like constantly watering your plants while still getting all the air the roots need.
ya probably would have been good to go a few weeks longer, would have improved all those problems you mention, and the tar taste could have been caused by that late flowering nutrient bump you gave them, people don't realize that the buds don't really need have leafs to stay alive in late budding, at this point the plant is already dying and very little photosynthesis is occurring, the leaves dye off naturally in the wild and the buds remain, they also drink very little and use almost no nutrients, even if given.
people always talk about how they don't want a heavy high, but that is more in the strain than the maturity of the bud. an immature bud is unsatisfying no matter what strain it is, but most strains wont make you super super tired, just by letting them get fully ripe, some strains will, lui for instance will put you too sleap at 50% amber, but it will do that at 10% too, just wont taste as well or be as full bodied a high. something like chemdog, which i would consider to be stronger, wont make you as tired as lui will, even if you let it get to 50% amber...
also you only grew one seed, you probably came up with a pheno that flowered longer than the others...i have grown serious seeds ak47 and even though they say it's done in 8-9 weeks i went a solid 11 to 12, and some pheno's definitely needed the full 12...

I have learned how important it is to be patient and time the flush well 
the grow this thread was referring to was disastrous. I completely screwed up the flush cycle by flushing, then refeeding, then flushing again for a couple of days.
After the buds had cured for a couple of months, the tar taste was completely gone, so I guess even screwing up the flushing cycle is repairable with this plant.

NO ITS NOT STOP! Been growing this 2 years now nice plants btw and I can tell you for sure those really aren't gonna be ready for another 4-6 weeks IMO. I have found that even if you take it 6 more it will still be on the very low end maybe less than 25% amber all the rest cloudy...I literally ran my last bitch maybe 14 weeks and it was done..nice swollen calyx those pistols will disappear and you will still have very few amber trichs and it just looks like the honest truth is those have a while and I am here telling you that's been my experience take it for what its worth. Its a long ass fucking flowering strain. ...it does the trick but fuck it takes forever to finish and it looks like yours is no exception. Mine is also a bitch to clone. Overall I would say its a six..you will be disappointed if you think that taking it before it finishes will "keep" it from being too "couchlock"...because it won't. This strain even at 14 weeks is far from couchlock for me. Its kinda mediocre but better than buying weed. But if you take it before its done its really "fart noise" and ya....I've done that. This last bitch I would've let go longer but it was literally to the point where the bitch was 100% done and would have normally already been dead in the wild so to speak. But even that wasn't really couchlock BUT it was ALOT better than shit I took at 9 10 11 12 weeks. They should get swollen enough that the pistols pretty much vanish AT LEAST, then..? Good luck I hope you listen I might have a few photos in my album. Give you an idea.

Whoa, harvest them immediately. If you wait till all the hairs are brown then they will have started to go downhill, you will get a sleepy coughlock stone.
Buds don't get better the longer you leave them, they peak and then you have about 5 days to harvest or they start going downhill and after a while all the trichomes disappear.
Once the buds are big and covered in crystals, harvest, there's no point in waiting any longer, nothing else is going to happen except that they will start to go downhill.
