no fan whatsoever?
maing, you live dangerously.
for your girls sake, cause some air movement...it's like wrapping a wet towel around your face...you cannot breathe very well...
you won't have to worry much about the smell if they do not mature.
good luck!

how much air movement do they actually have to have?...i've grown several crops through the veg phase without any fan at all..

is it possible?..it's in a 13.5 x 13.5 x8 room..tryin to keep the smell down..

Yes. It's possible, have grown lots of plants without fans b4. However , all plants require FRESH air, so passive air flow must be allowed via an open window . (which will not help to reduce smell).

Hope this helps

If you're trying to keep the smell down, no ventilation damned sure ain't the way to accomplish it

at the very least spend a couple hundred bucks on a cheap inline and a Phresh filter...I've been using one of these for the last year and am really impressed with the quality and effectiveness of the filter for how lightweight and cheap it is. :tiphat:

the heat and humidity got to go somewhere. and you need fresh air for co2. circulation fans aint needed. but and exhaust and intake are.if you seal the area you need to cool it and keep humidity in check plus add co2.

^ that sums it up perfectly. no way around it. cool and add co2 or exchange air, gotta do something.

Defiantly not the best idea one trick is to keep the temps way down as they stink alot more if ur box is too hot and combine with a decent carbon filte, low heat LED lights and a low odour strain like northern lights. The only way to Not ventilate outside the box would be to include a c02 generator and circulate the air inside .. Still not the best though

what about when the lights are out.....does this apply for the 12 hours of nite?

This is when a fan speed controller comes in handy...or a timer for the fan. Although truthfully I've run a light or two in the dead of winter in an unheated house and had to not use a fan for a couple of weeks simply because it was too cold and had a great harvest, luck of the draw I reckon.

If you have not built your grow space yet and don't want to use circulation fans, try putting your exhaust on one side of your room and your intake on the other.. That way the fresh air gets pulled across the whole grow room before being exausted

you'd like as much air exchange as posssible.
circulation fans are not necessary, but contribute to the plants strength.
to eliminate smell, you need to pull/push air through a filter or treat it with ozone. ona won't do it. carbon filter and fan to scrub the air at least once per minute (preferably more).

the veg phase is not what you should concern yourself with; the flower phase will def affect the olfactory senses.

just my take.

Vaportek. Works like a charm. Make sure you get linen or neutral, unless you like your whole house smelling like the janitors closet.
