I gotta think many protesters are from areas around Oakland, Cause thats the "Whitest" Oakland I've ever seen.

They don't need my help marginalizing themselves...I will, however, remain frosty on my free-range,non-subsidized herbals :tiphat:

ya, all 5...

attempts to marginalize positive efforts of others based on their beliefs is a sad attempt at boosting your ego. stay frosty,

Ward Cleaver - Oh, Beaver... be sure to wash behind your ears. And put a tie on son, you don't want the Mondello's thinking you're uh... we're irresponsible, do you?

Today, Ward's a lazy stoner and watches The Simpsons... wit his tie on. The more things change the more they stay the same.

People called me crazy when I said pictures from Greece two years ago would be coming here.

This is just the beginning.

QE is defense, not an economic strategy.
I agree that QE is not economics. It's central planning fantasy economics strategy. It's suicide not defense.

It's like watching someone bleed themselves out in the bathtub while at the same time talking about all the great things they are going to do in life later on.

The difference being one was a teaching opportunity, the other a preamble to the 'new' way of life.

Funny how people choose to gather their message, is there some moral to the story i'm missing here?

Or maybe it's just you.

Sounds like you're into stereotypes.

To some, reality shapes ideology. To others, ideology forms reality itself. When pragmatic application consists of no more than a mind frame it may miss realities. Unchecked, ideology can mask reality in ways the observer doesn't consider.

You know, like when your folks found your Beatles', "I Want To Hold Your Hand" 45 and lectured you not to take the message too far. Then they found your Stones', "Let's Spend The Night Together" and grounded you for a month.

In other words, it's the generation gap and this time you're the conformist. I just hope you weren't conformist in the 60s.

Good point. Some of the violence in the 60s and 70s was law enforcement related and didn't give protesters a bad image. I don't know the circumstances but appearances suggest the protesters need to maintain peace, even if law enforcement chooses otherwise.

I must be? Considering that's all you've attempted to do with me, to no avail I might add.Oh clearly we've touched on the issues that I favor the right on, but that's not what defines me.

If you try hard enough you can convince yourself of pretty much anything, hot is cold, up is down...label it as you may,Mr. I don't try to box people, but just because it's a reality doesn't make it right.

I'm sure you'd love for people to make the leap that this is just as simple a case as some kids dropping acid and growing their hair long...you really haven't been paying much attention.

Which part of it's in decay are you not seeing?

You throw words around like 'conformist' and insinuate bigotry, with no clue.

If it makes you feel good, do it...remember that one?

The other thing that baffles me is despite your thinly veiled insults and misguided approach, I still manage to hold you in some type of regard.

A testament to what is anybody's guess.

If it's reality, who's to say what's right, legality or ideology?

I see the same things you see. IMO, the 50s ain't the answer.

You throw words around like 'conformist' and insinuate bigotry, with no clue.

I sure do. Somehow 'eat shit' and 'conformist' don't have the same ring. Especially when 'conformist' isn't used in the pejorative. I'm empathetic with at least some of these protestors' complaints but I don't exactly identify with them, specifically the sporadic violence. In some ways I too am conformist, part age gap and part individual influences.

The other thing that baffles me is despite your thinly veiled insults and misguided approach, I still manage to hold you in some type of regard.

Much closer to direct chiding. You know, kidding. As far as misguided approach, I'm doing nothing more than flipping your concept and showing you how it appears. I guess telling me to eat shit is a testament to your personal regard.

wtf? i have not heard a single member say thing are perfect the way they are. nobody is really 100% happy with the way thing are going in this country and nobody is really 100% happy with the way the protesters are doing things either. we may not see eye to eye on jack shit, but at some point we better realize that we ARE all together in the middle of a huge clusterfuck.

i kind of doubt that any of the members here are on the forbes list so if there is a reason to be capping on them i must have missed it somewhere. i also must have missed all the members wanting to take a shit on the flag so i don't really see the OWS protesters or their supporters as the problem. this is just another problem that we will watch get so polarized that we will stop listening to each other again.

so like spastic gramps says ....... it's gonna get worse. we all watched it get this far, maybe we all deserve a collective reality check. hold on tight folks, this ride is gonna get very interesting ...... for every one of us! and i know this is a really unpopular opinion, but it aint all the other guys fault ( and even if it is , at the end of the day it won't matter)
