Smoke Out on the 4th!

Smoke Out on the 4th!

I would love some help in organizing a 4th of July smoke out here in Lake County. We have a nice campground on Cobb that I believe would be will to host such an event.

if egyptians can do it via facebook, surely we can.
except that we are spineless americans, happy slaves, with too much to loose...
getting a million stoners to march is cool, but how about getting the 30 million users in america to share some truths about our sacred plant medicine with the ignorant masses so we can actually make change happen.

you gotta reach into the water to catch the fish

you cant relay on big organization like norml, they have their own agendas. Grass Roots is way better, spread it like a virus

I am encouraging everyone in nyc to go to the occupy wall street, and protest for hemp/cannabis legalization because those wall street companies are what help keep it illegal.

^awsome a new poster. I made some a while bck, but this didnt take off. I only got help from a few people, and organizations like NORML and MPP had no interest in sponsoring a march that made them collaborate.

I won't give up though. At this point I think we should combine our efforts with others already making huge strides.

I like the idea with joining up with march to the high road a lot. I simply do not have the experience to handle the logistics of organizing this by myself, and I don't want it to be half assed.

Any other efforts you know of that we should try to tap into??

Honestly all I did was skim/read the thread and take some of your well laid out points and added them to a flyer... 'March the high road' and the 'NPCD'

Now I plan on blanketing the streets with them :tiphat:

Not too well organized, but simple and effective... Everyone can toss some flyers out

We have some time to work before 4/20 ;)

Maybe start a new NPCD thread and link these threads there (yours, pals)... Then we could always add the forum address to our flyers for those interested who find them on the street and about. Lay out the goals like you did a few pages back and the main info right there in the first post for everyone to see and read....

Might bring some unwanted heat to IC though....

^ya send them off to every pro pot organization we can find and ask them to help get a permit. Getting a permit is not as easy as you think when you don't live there.

I will start looking for a list of e-mails to send them off too. also I will try to find the permit info again. I don't live there so some of this stuff is hard to locate. Honestly if the organizations that already have political sway don't hop on board then it will be hard to get national attention.

Lets send one to Ron Paul for sure. also send one the the former governor of new Mexico, Gary Johnson. ask them for help with permits

Send one to the occupy wall street web site and blogs, it is getting huge attention already. send one to John Stewart and the daily show, and send colbert super pact, asking for help with permits lol

I won't quit bugging norml and mpp either. they are getting one.

University web sites. FACEBOOK. start an anonymous one. University and social networking are the best tools to spread information of protest these days.

EMPHASIZE SOLIDARITY THROUGH PEACE, AND ORDER. I don't want this being a giant drum circle of hippies singing. I want everybody standing strong looking serious. Imagine a million people all just wearing a uniform made of jeans and green t-shirts. That level of solidarity amongst a million plus people is a sight to see. A collaborating group for change through peaceful methods, and refusing to move until the drug war against cannabis has ended with the passing of a federal legalization bill; Advancing democracy as a whole. The entire planet would benefit from this.

It sounds crazy but checkout the raw milk protest in MD coming up. Bunch of parallels between them and us. Maybe if we support them alot of them would support us. In short they are getting raw milk from VA and taking it back to Maryland and consuming at FDA HQ. Risking property seizure and jail and they are having their kids with them. This is no joke the feds have raided milk providers all over the country swat commando style undercovers the works.

Do you only want freedom to grow and smoke cannabis?

I have some ideas but won't post em here unless people here say they are also concerned about getting Hemp back into the global economy.

From what i see here and in general from smokers and growers, hemp isn't a priorety or even a concern for most.

So how do you feel about Hemp, is it just as important as Cannabis Indica & Sativa?

I think hemp is a key material of humanity. It was used for the entirety of human history except for the past 50 years or so. Hemp is just as big as a reason to legalize cannabis as medical cannabis. the majority of the people on the site include hemp in cannabis legalization. seeming how they are the same plant though it is impossible to legalize cannabis with legalizing hemp with out a special clause and I guarantee you that no one on this site would agree to that. Everyone here is pro hemp.

I also think the entire drug war and DEA are unconstitutional and should be ended. I support doing things in a Peaceful manner.

So True...

Hemp is just as big as a reason to legalize cannabis as medical cannabis.

I believe Hemp to be far more important than medecinal cannabis. InJoyed smoking Cannabis for 35 years non stop apart form a few dry spells while behind bars for posession of our beloved flower. So don't think my freedom to grow and smoke aren't a big deal to me.

Hemp is not more important to me personally, but Crucial for the health of our Earth, Humanity and economy alike. Therefore it's way ahead of any other agenda, no matter how dear cannabis is as a medecine to me. Personally nothing apart from my health is more important to me than my Freedoms concerning Cannabis.

the majority of the people on the site include hemp in cannabis legalization.

I don't think they do!

Mainly because they worry about having their crop seeded with hemp pollen.

Legitimate worry, it would be a royal pain in the ass to be forced to grow in a sealed room even if it was legal because of all that nasty hemp pollen everywhere.

seeming how they are the same plant though it is impossible to legalize cannabis with legalizing hemp with out a special clause and I guarantee you that no one on this site would agree to that.

Wrong... they can and should be treated differently.

I also think the entire drug war and DEA are unconstitutional and should be ended. I support doing things in a Peaceful manner.

Agree 100 %

I believe the 2 need to be divided. Hemp and cannabis for meds and or recreation are harvested for completly different reasons and most important hemp is no good to the med. and rec. user so how can we, WHY should we put them in the same box and treat the the same?

We shouldn't. That was a trick from the early propaganda daze created so they could put them in the same box and label them both evil.

This way they (Dupont & Friends) were able to get rich from the alternatives to hemp.

If hemp was given priority as a fule crop and large industrial sized infrastructures were built in a way thay anybody could bring raw material to a facility that could make the best possible use of all the harvest, to get a fair market value for their crops.

If we were forced to rely on hemp as a major energy source, yes forced to minimize importing petrolium products, things would improve vastly. So long as at the same time gov. spending and accountability for Corporationts and Gov. Official's elected and especially appointed were brought under control.

Hemp won't do it alone it needs the infrastructure and a system that serves and protects to work it's magic...

As far as the medical struggle goes i will don jeans and green shirt, more than that gonna leave it to others while i Peacefully carry on disobeying the unjust laws:tiphat:
