68 days in.

i been staying at La Quinta...the carrying on and loud behaviour frazzled my nerves. here's what has happened in the last two weeks...


the right side under the hps has begun yellowing although the flowers are a touch taller under there.
i'm really not seeing the stretch i expected...probably for lack of training prior to implementing the screen...and fewer plants would have been an easier learning curve...

That's one thing I've noticed on Scrog's,... the plant doesn't seem to stretch nearly as much as a normal grow. Kinda nice, thicker denser buds, and less lumbar!!!!

Lokking sweet as Trich ur on the downhill run now till harvest time about 20 odd days hey. Yeah I agree with Canniwhatsis regarding stretch in a scrog. My couple of runs under a 400w have shown they do stretch but nowhere near as much as untrained. But u do end up with a nice carpet of nugs come harvey. Peace

Cannawhatsis, the stretch is the same just that it does it sideways under the screen?...not that I gave these girls time to do that...but with some LST and some pinching their branches i could see some improvement in the canopy.

No, it's seriously not as extreme.

I did 2 runs of Island Sweet Skunk, first run was solo, straight up natural grow,... plant tripled in size before budding. Second run I did 2 plants, both the same vege time and pot size, one was LST for SCROG during vege, the other allowed to grow normally.

Again, the natural grow went nuts and tripled in size. However the LST plant barely doubled in size under the screen.

Come Harvey time, the SCROG took the day with around 5 oz off the screen vs the 3.5 that I got off the natural grown plant.

Sadly that strain was hermi prone and got progressively worse as generations increased. So she is no longer in my garden.


This Phenomenon isn't limited to just that strain either, many of my strains that will hardly stretch, 1.5x their size when put to flower simply DONT when done on the screen!

she has a peculiar history too. snatched from brink of death, revegged, shunned, isolated, ignored, until one day there was some new growth. this is her third year as the stables staple.
will never do that again. (knock wood)
