Quick Pix....

Quick Pix....

...of a few plants fading away outdoors. I notice that once I remove a subject from indoors....bring her out into the fall spectrums....she will invariably....instantly...begin turning over. There must be a spectrum in fall sunlight that triggers the feat. I did not see as quick of turnovers during the summer months. Perhaps it is the # of hours of day light....yet...the difference between indoor 12/12, and what the outdoor light cycle is presently...is not all that different. I'll go with the spectrum theory.

Cases in point....

Couple Wipe Outs....one in the pit....one on the corner of a structure...one still being fed P (she is younger in flower).....one being flushed (60ish)...very gnarly expressions...one is actually fairly strong limbed....the other is bigger and flimsy as hell. I really like these girls....have their sister on the trimming table tonight....good stuff

Wipe Out= Mikado X I-HOP Grape Krush

I-HOP Grape Krush= SCreme 'n Dawg F2 X Grape Krush

Manzana Bramble= Ma Kettle X I-HOP Grape Krush

Ma Kettle= Casey Jones X Grape Krush

This Bramble plant...(one of only 2 remember?).... I've shown several Xs now...leans....hell....is almost identical to the Casey mom I used to make Ma Kettle....is now in her 70s...veteran of the pit...finishing up nicely....reeks....pretty...resin...falling all over herself in her plumpness

Conglom= Congo X Grape Krush

Have 2 in the pit....flushing...late 50's/early 60ish....stinky as hell...nice structures....Congo flowers....after having manicured some of their sisters: I'll have to now describe the general aroma as sweet chewing gum///accented strongly by Grapefruit twinges that mess with your nostrils. Great aroma...killer plants

***EDIT: you may notice a few single beans developing on the Conglom and Wipe Out....I must have had some down low nanners pop while they were still indoors. Could have been from the Cindy Moon Jones plant that I culled. Hard to say...but...I'm keeping whatever beans I get off the Congloms...as...I have no more seeds of the Conglom cross...and the girls are all worthy of keeping going on the pathway.... so I'll cheat it this way.

Super Crop Nautical

Super Crop Nautical

DTC99 F4....the recon "stretcher style" expression I put into flower to gain knowledge....particularly on how much the stretch was on these phenotypes.

Day 31

You can see I'm running her in a cage...I'm running most my current stuff in cages...just to mix it up. Generally I don't much care for cages..as they seem to always hang up on each other when being moved...those metal rings...indeed....they can damage flowers.

I super cropped her heavy a couple Xs (I included a picture of her twice broken knot) and tied her with a zip tie in a 180 for a few days...and...that's all it took to control her. Way less a fight than I expected...blessings. Un-topped....

Enjoying her....not flimsy...nope...in fact I adjust her branches almost daily....she seems to like being rearranged in her cage. Strong...her bent top pushes up toward the light...so it's good to adjust her. Likes to branch straight up...no complaints

Harvested the Casey phenotype of Bramble a couple days ago...70some days of flower.

Yup...smells like fruit covered baby shit. Sounds like that would be gross...yet...it is not...more...It is a rather attractive smell....and in fact...I find it desirable.

Not my favorite type of flowers to manicure though. They are squishy/sticky...the leaves tend to cling to the buds...the resin tends to build up quickly on the scissors....I had to keep rotating the tools out of a cup of rubbing alcohol...in attempts to keep some sort of trim flow going (it's well documented that I'm a slow trimmer...who does not really enjoy the activity...so...keeping in a flow is trying at Xs).....bitch bitch bitch

I predict that this will be some very potent and tasty weed....christ knows I've had enough Casey crosses to revisit the various moms I've used...and...I've seen this girl (replica of a big fruity Casey expression) more than a couple of Xs...in more than a couple outcrosses she was involved in. Even watered down in this cross...she has reappeared to give me a sloppy hug.

Not to be an arrogant prick...but...I think she has improved via outcrossing...and I'm surprised that the Casey dominance continues to pop out. I also think H3ad has his shit together more than peeps give him credit for...as...I continue to hear his riffs in my songs. Now mashed with ClearBarbedFunk and DJ Short....my vision of a super group can be realized.

****All my respect to H3ad, CBF, and Short....without their work...this does not happen. Props all day long to those dudes...their work inspires me to push further. Thank you :)

Fuck it....I'm done and it's a nice day to get in some trail time...laters

Drooling....Love the musical analogies, kind of gives me/us a glimpse into how you think about your stuff. Furthur,my man, ever furthur....

Kind of like layering sounds...as you add the new sounds it often changes the previously laid down sound. As the sounds continue to be put down and blended....they become their own sound.

I don't dig digital because it makes sounds too clear....takes away the uniqueness that can only be found in the un-pure static fuzz (the unknown...self made magic). Editing to superior sound is not always the goal....catching its raw personality is more to my liking....catching the moments. Exile on Main Street

I feel that. I'll take raw and real over pretty and polished any day. I actually prefer ''ugly'' stuff musically. Fuzzy, abrasive rock,lo-fi,30's blues, early hardcore, doom, drone. Tape, worn vinyl, abused circuitry, vacuum tubes on the verge of failing.
Analog is real, digital is just numbers, abstract theory....

Story of 3 Tops

Story of 3 Tops

Harvested these today out of the pit.

L-R : 72 day Conglom...72 day Wipe Out...74 day Conglom

72 day Conglom

74 day Conglom

72 day Wipe Out

The plants had several sub 40 nights....right at the end. I still have one more Wipe Out finishing down there.

Wipe Out= Mikado X I-HOP Grape Krush

I-HOP Grape Krush= SCreme 'n Dawg F2 X Grape Krush

Conglom= Ace's Congo X Grape Krush

The flowers are rank with floral, funk, grapefruit,.....the Wipe Out having a musky funk which overcomes underlying berry(ish) aromas....and the Congloms a sweet floral grapefruit funk that pierces the nose...making eyes water. The 3 girls really stink...like a ripe harvest of cannabis should. All the bells and whistles...very much pleased to have watched them do their thing.

*Been smoking some of the outdoor grown SFV x Ghost X Ghost....yes...it came out nicely. The flavor is lemony funk...hits the back of the throat...lingers there...high is rocking. My 1st real tester ...after a month in jars. Good stuff.

**I'll be pollinating over the week end.....the Tweedy males presented their work...now composted into the earth...feeding a bed of worms...an ample amount of pollen they provided to accomplish set goals in the pathways. I'll hit MVTF X Grape Krush in the morn...make an attempt to produce a few pix of the progression therein.

Dusting away the day

Dusting away the day

A look at the 3 Matanuska Valley TF X Grape Krush girls....only 20 days into flower...I pollinated 2 of the 3 with the Tweedy fuck dust.

The only flaw in these plants...some of the leaves did not react well to a 4 TBSP per gallon spraying of AzaMax. I snapped one day...snapped hard...on the population of White Fly....I fucked them up...annihilated so many lives. I am vacant of White Fly for the 1st time in many years. I am a dark god on the pathways...at Xs...it is only natural to be death.

The sensitivity to the death spray...be damned...the plants are pumping out flowers...grape aromas....look like they will be good producers on the quicker side of the spectrum....the spraying occurred a couple wks ago...subjects are clear sailing now.

Male Odessa IX1 (Casey Jones X Cindy Jones).....they are very close to being exiled to drop pollen. Note: 2 different expressions...I'll use them to make IX2 beans....and to cross into the DTC99 F4s. Kick ass males I'm thinking....I selected for diversity and aggression. I'm feeling pretty good about my chances with these boys.

Beautiful buds Pablo :jump: Dat congo x grape krush must be some KILLER smoke :D you can`t go wrong when some of the best breeders genetics meets together :D congrats bro :tiphat:

GODDAMN. Thats a spicy meat-a-ball,right there. And still in keeping with the Pablosian general theorem of the common binder....elegant sir, most elegant.

The Odessa IX1s are turning into some of my favorites....crossing into the DTC99 is going to be wild. Commons in not only C99...but also in the Thai genetics (the Thai in a more loose fashion). They are running well together...I have some stout pheno DTC99 and Odessa in flower now.

I'm going to use the Tweedy IX1 (Mango Haze X F13) dust on some stretcher Odessa IX1 that I also have in flower. That will be an interesting line up...genetically speaking. The female Tweedy seem to like to stretch....at about the same rate as the female stretcher Odessa...give or take slight differences in the speed of individual expressions. The Odessa like to get their flowers started quicker though....Odessa is great for hitting stride directly....they do not fuck off in flower. Interested in seeing the offspring of this blend.

Ok...back to my tomato sauce making....freezing and canning...thanks for stopping in

DTC99 F4 update

DTC99 F4 update

I'll show you some pix of the "scout" DTC99...early 40s....starting to fill out/smell...well behaved...pretty easy to fly thus far

Something odd on one of the MVTF X GKs...the expression that I didn't pollinate. All her flowers were rapidly plumping with the exception of one branch...this one branch had normal buds down low...but the top few flowers were retarded. This morning I found male flowers overtaking those retarded flowers....so I simply cut the branch off. The rest of the plant (and her sisters) are showing no signs of intersex at all. Kind of a fluke branch...I've never seen it before.

growing most everything in cages....I can't remember one gardening session from another. Killer flowers roll through consistently...stuff I've never seen...sometimes I can flicker in on how the genetics are working/showing themselves....patterns...pathways in and out of the girls I've known. It's foggy in there...those rooms are their own thing...it's not even like gardening anymore.

I looked at my bean collection the other day....I can't remember making many of the crosses I've made....a day in a life

T

THE PABLOS

weird bro, better keep an eye on her or him or ya know!;)

Yeah....I saw the nanners right around lights out...I wanted to take a picture of the branch still on the plant for reference....didn't have the time..so I snipped it off. The flower size was way smaller than the normal buds on all the other branches. I kept watching it for the last few days out of interest....never had a branch do that.

I go over my plants most every day....those nanners showed up over one night. I'm not concerned...just a weird thing. I'll let those girls flower for another few days...then pull them out for some pix and update...they are pumping fast though....going to be sweet.

The Tweedy girls are doing well....we wrestle quite a bit...I'll post them when I pollinate for the IX2. Lovely girls....

EDIT: The Tweedy pollen took on the 2 MVTF X GK that I pollinated...seeds are set.

End of the Pit Season

End of the Pit Season

As night skies stay bright and clear with stars...nearing the end of October...temps plummet below 30 degrees. Death by frost to a few vegging plants (experimental run off from indoors...I was going to reverse the pit process by starting their flowering stage outdoor then moving them indoors to continue....no loss really...as I didn't have room for them)....and...the sign of the times for my last Wipe Out plant (day 60).....

I've composted the veggers already....I'm going to harvest the Wipe Out...here in a little bit....after the sun gets on her...thaws her out...suspended animation...no ice sickles on her...but...she is mighty cold.

Nope...none to happy at all...but...after having watched many a food crop being taken by frost...you kind of get used to the "Black Death"

I've not even blinked an eye...instead I have added to the Power Ball...
