People seem to like my screens so here is what you need to make them and how too.

This wire will make 11 full screens. The parts shown make one screen.

First make this with with (2) 1.5 inch and (2) 4.5 inch pieces (4) elbows and (2) tee's. The pipe is high pressure 3/4 inch pvc. If your pots are smaller than a 5.75 gallon bucket you need to shorten the 4.5 inch piece to support the screen.

Then make this with (2) 21.5 inch pieces and the parts you made above.

Then add (2) 16.5 inch frame supports. Keep in mind that these can be different lengths to fit your bucket size. Mine are sized for a 5.75 gallon bucket.

Next build your wire support frame with (2) 21.5 inch pieces and (4) tee's. Then connect the (2) 48 inch pieces as shown in the right picture.

Then attach you screen with 8 inch zip ties. I use 8 ties but you may need more if your plant pulls on the screen a lot. Then cut the extra tie off. The screen should be 24 inches by 49 inches.

Finally add the top interconnecting pieces which are made with (2) 1.5 inch, (1) 10.5 inch piece, and (2) elbows. The 10.5 inch piece can be stretched or shrunk to move your screens in or out. Mine are set to have the plants at about 24-26 inches from the light. Again the picture above shows how the connectors are assembled.

And that is it.

Awesome! Saves me from having to disect your photos to get the parts list. I am still 3-4 weeks from assembling my screens. Almost finished with my DIY undercurrent veg system, then I can focus on finishing up my flower room.

One additional thing is that if you shrink the screen size down from 49 inches to 47 inches you can get 12 screens from one roll of wire. The screens are set up to run a total of 6 screens per light. So this will give you 2 setups. If you run a flip box like I do this is a good thing. Keep in mind that if you do shrink the wire to 47 inches you also need to shrink the side pipe from 48 inches to 46 inches.

hey man great post about the screens. love the DIY. I have two 6'X6X8' rooms. one is veg one is flower. I saw u mentioned a flip flop and this is somethin i was considering doing. I was wondering if u did ur on flip/flop or bought it pre-fab? I currently run a 1000 watt hps and a 600 watt hps for flower and a 400 watt m/h and a 4ft 4 bulb T5 for veg.

I made my flip flop. If you ran the flip in the 6X6X8 rooms you could free up one of your ballasts.

Here are photos of the extra room I have available to give you a idea of what you can get in your room if you use my screens. IOn the photo on the right you can see that I have left one screen out to fit my plants in the room. This is a much smaller plant and can be move rather easily. If you did this at your door you could move it to get into your room.

Sorry but u lost me on freeing up a ballast by using a flip/flop. My understanding is that for example with a f/f i could take my 1000 and my 600 watt ballasts and use each to power two 1000 watt bulbs and two 600 watt bulbs in an alternate 12 on 12 on 24 hr cycle?? If this is wrong could u please explain it to me?

I have to let the plant recoup from the trimming. Hairs are starting to show now.
picture.php

Today I scored about 125 2-5 gallon pots today at the recycle place.
picture.php

Not much going on for the next couple days now that I have trimmed and tied the branches.

Hey Ichabod, I hear ya on that letting em recoup but i swear you would never know i cut a 5 gal buck of trim off of my girls, although some people seem to think i cut to much. Oh well i figure if they cant take a lil trim then who needs em, i cut my grass once a month whether it needs it or not and it always grows back :watchplant:

Well anyway man i like ur thinking on the recycling center. I've been going to local nurserys and going thru their throw away's, and buying their used pots. I was wondering do u sterilize ur used pots or just spray em out with a hose or something.

Thanks man

As most of you know I am running 6ml/9ml in coco. Well that is going to have to change a little. I am running the Big Blue stain. If you look at this picture you can see that I have to pheno's or two different strains.
picture.php

You can see that the one on the right looks more indica and the one on the left more sativa. Big Blue is a cross between Northern Lights #5 and Blue Berry. So one has more NL#5 than the other.

Another difference is feeding. I will have to back off on the one on the left as it is curling from over fertilization. The one on the right is also a little paler on the new growth. I will do this when I switch to Jack's pro Hydro here soon.

I posted earlier that hairs were forming, well they are not on the plant on the right. Since I have not flowered this pheno yet is just a wait and see. Good thing I can move my screens if I have to so I can harvest the others sooner. Guess I will have to wait and see how long this one takes to flower.

I mentioned the light color of the new growth earlier so here is a picture.
picture.php

This color is on all the new growth on just this one plant. So tonight during the normal feeding I added some molasses to the feeding. It has 70% of your daily iron in one serving. I added 1 tablespoon per gallon and feed one half gallon. I will see if this helps the new growth gain some color. I intend to do this over the next couple days.

I mentioned earlier about my screens being movable so I took a picture from my other room to post so people can see this.
picture.php

you can also see that my plant is only a couple inches deep in this picture.

I also will be taking the small plant out of my new flower room to make room for 3 plants from my other flower room. Now that it has cooled off some I pulled my plants in closer to the light. They are only 19-21 inches from the bulb in that room. Because of this there was not enough room for the plants I was using as filler between my screens. In this picture you can see what I mean.
picture.php

As you can see they are shading the plants on the screens so out they had to go.

So that's it for today.

Lookin peace in here devil dog... You have a nice ventilation to match the 1k, your crop circle may put out around 40oz!

Ok this pic :
picture.php

I have some indica that puts on thin leaves in a vert grow... Some strains have the ability to turn their leaves towards the light, making the leaf nice and wide. An indica with a stiff stem may have a harder time tilting it's leaves... It'll catch the vertical light on the edge of the leaf making it quite thin...

High and tight homie... Peace!

40 oz will be way over my limit. Will have to harvest over several days and make some hash. Thanks for the input. The fatter leaved one has pretty stiff stems on it. Have not flowered it yet so don't know what it will do yet. They are both clones from the same guy. He could have been on the drugs and sent me two different strains. He said they are not though. So it is a wait and see thing. He also said that the bigger leaved one has a better high. It smells to high heaven like skunk and stinks up the whole room. The others smell fruity and I don't use air cleaners because they have no or very little skunk smell. Even with out the filters a friend come over and congratulated me on controlling the smell.
