I think there is enough politics on every forum here already.

Perhaps we should all just get back to growing and posting pics.

Only the politics surrounding cannabis should be discussed here. Even those threads get heated up and derailed...but it is very important that this community stays informed on all legal/political aspects surrounding cannabis.

hmmm ??

hmmm ??

a place where we can bitch, compromise, cut-down, minimalize, put-down, criticize, disagree, argue and set the agenda for the FUCKED UP world in which we live.

just let us go, we don't need moderation.

there are some other political forums i can point out where moderations is minimal and the discussion is intriguing and pointless.

we need that here. so i don't have to go to a political forum to HATE my government...

Hows this thread working out for ya :) ??

hehe i jest ... all in fun im sure !

Well, can't we at least discuss possible options to legalize! I'm pissed as all hell like everyone else, but let's try to put all that energy to good use. Please forgive my eternal optimism....:tiphat:

I've seen many people with great suggestions around here already. i.e Contacting your congress and local politicians, backing a federal bill, overgrow the fucking world, etc. I personally believe that the most important step in this civil war is to elect a President that has already committed to ending the War on Drugs!

The 2 candidates that I know that this applies to are: (feel free to let me know of others)

1) Ron Paul
2) Gary Johnson

What are some of ur guys' suggestions? I'm really not trying to make this political, per se, just want to get an idea of what people's thoughts are on this.

Peace

how the hell do you think most political threads get started?!?! lmao

nice try though

really wish this thread had a poll attached to it so we can get some definitive numbers on the topic for others to take notice of.

I find most often the political forums become battle fields. One with no moderation would be a disaster. People aren't responsible enough to back down when they are wrong.

this was stated previously....which is why a politico forum would be fun. however, if a previous statement made is true, which was that OG was shut down because they were getting too close to the "truth" maybe i could whip out my stick and practice pinata on the hornet/truth nest.......

people dont back down when they're "wrong" on politics because of the frickin unicorns. once you suspend you're belief kin unicorns, politics become much easier to navigate...mainly because you realize it's entertainment and make-believe.

if you have a competent muicipal/county/town gov't, you may be able to see a reasonable political process in play. but i must contend that once you get to state/province level +, there are no politics. there are vested interests, profits, state-run violence.

conservative/liberal/democrat/Tparty/whig/federalists/communists/NEO-whatchamacallitz..............divide and conquer.

a political forum would be great because a small handful would say things like what ive said and open up the idea/possibility to many here on the ICmag that EVERY.STINKING.ONE of our elite/leaders/elected rep.s are bufoons. you dont get to that position w/o being one!

there is no democracy here/there/anywhere. with a caveat; i cant say for sure because of the lack of model........where do you think a democracy has ever occured?.......i would give the u.s. demo points for the ideas that came out before they abolished the articles of confed and went with the CONstitution....no points but kudos for the period up to 1812.

so yes. control. no democracy. great illusions though, eh?

if you think we have democracy get back to me after the next (S)election and explain to me how your vote made a difference against un-restrained corporate donations(overtly now that its legal) and the usual stream of covert $......to choose between two dudes who we are told are qualified.

if you want real change, not Hopium, then starve the beast. the only option at this stage. do not vote, do not participate, get your $$ out of the banks and grow your own food.

Can't blame a guy for tryin! I do like the idea of attaching a poll to get some gauge though.

Yeah, I pretty much hate discussing something that it so corrupt & subjective anyway....just wanted to open up the discussion to all possibilities of reform!

I started doing that after all the bailouts a few years ago & most people, where I live, think that Im crazy for doing so. Maybe I should move, lol.

register republican for the primaries(dont get caught up in being labeled that dirty r word, you can vote however you want in the general election REGARDLESS of political affiliation) and vote for Ron Paul to be the republican candidate.

These fine folks represent the House Commitee on the Judiciary:Subcommitee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security. This is where the decriminalization bill Ron Paul and Barney Frank introduced earlier this year is currently in "discussion". This bill will stall here if we do not contact these people fervently.
