Best of luck with the starting season, mate

Our season is rapidly coming to a close, maybe a month left then it's time to make plans for 2012 :)

Think i might need the full month, plants are still going in slow mo

Ah I think we are all having a slow season this year, Von.
Frost is holding off nicely tho.

First of the Danish Gold came down early due to mould, buds are airy but there are a few nice ones and plenty of trim to hash.

Hey Cookie thanks for the updates. Am a bit worried to see mould already. Where I am there's been a cold fog for the past couple of days. No heatwave here!

Am interested in the HFH. Would you recommend the hashplant or HP2?

Also - how is the yield on these? The fact that they're semi-auto they dont get very big?

great pics lads

had a week of fog and mist but been very warm, only found one tiny bit of bud mold so far though, how are your cross's doing btw?

a message on another site for anyone in munster

A relative of mine across the water has come across a site,it's in a Coillte plantation at the bottom of some mountains. If this sounds like you,you need to be choppy, choppy over the weekend before the logging machine does it for you on Monday.

thinking ahead for next year has anyone good ideas for water retention bar mulching and crystals?

thanks

Not much we can do about the mould except spray, pray and prune, Grandad

HFH are well suited to our climate, they are semi auto but the odd one or 2 will auto, the rest will flower as normal with an April-May start date.

Planting before that with the hfh strains I'm growing this year (hp hp2 danish gold) and they will either auto or flower and reveg for a few weeks.

They will grow just as large as any regular strain that will finish over here, my hp from the second batch is heading for 8ft tall.

To be honest I couldn't pick between HP and HP2, both have the same flowering times and seem to have equal mould resistance, none on either strain yet.

If I were forced to choose then it would have to be HP2 and the only reason is that every HP2 male I've grown out has auto'd where as 1 Hp male out of the bunch started to flower at the same time as the females.

An insignificant reason to make a choice but autoing males makes life easier for guerilla growers.

Lots of good info there- thanks. Auto males are no good if you want to make a few seeds - HP would suit me better I think. HP is available again but stocks are getting low.

The weather here has been absolutely shocking - solid rain and damp for a week now. Its driving me mad-the UK guys are having an amazing spell of sun. I cant see my bud not rotting if this goes on for much longer.

I had no problem finishing Jack and Purps hybrids outdoors last year but this season is shaping up to be terrible.

No crosses this year - went with Easy Sativa, Purple Maroc and Frisian cos of all the good feedback on them. I amn't blown away tbh - Easy Sativa especially is slow off the mark. Just starting to flower at the start of Sept.

HP has the same trait, grandad....males will have a tendency to auto, females not so much so.

We had 1 day of sun this week, yesterday and today has been solid rain but warm...perfect for mould, my HP2 is going to come down tomorrow before it rots...it's just about finished so I wont lose much with that one.

Badger, good to see you
And yes you have cracked the secret of our sex games involving holes in spuds and thai sweet chilli sauce :)

Plenty of bud but most of it is airy enough and not too dense, probably what has kept the mould away for so long?

29c today over in your country and 23c yesterday in Scotland, I'm developing a growing hatred for the sea..

Pretty good yield for one plant and quite resistant to mould considering the weather we had this year.

Looking nice and frosty Cookie. Hope you didnt have to chop all by yourself. That would suck

Thankfully a wandering ninja was passing by and he helped with his samurai scissors :)

Gonna leave those 2 plants a few more days and run that trim tonight if your interested
