Time to flower!

Just changed the bulb to a 400w Philips Son-T Pia HPS and put her under 12/12 :tiphat:

funny... it's like people with curly hair want straight and those with straight want it curly!

I'm using DWC and want to switch to soil/organic.

If I was going hydro from soil I would create my own system, you don't save time, but you save money. DWC is super easy. Bucket, tubing, airstone, air-pump, hydroton, bucket lid... done.
I do everything in same time. Soil, DWC and Coco, so it does not get too monotonous. :D

There is one main problem with those DIY DWC buckets. Getting them out from growspace for changing nutes. When I get that question solved, DWC all the way. Until then, I keep few hempybuckets and soil just reduce amount of "unnecessary" work. Of course, soil is pain in ass during start and getting rid of it.

LokiLoki, looks good. Better keep up that screen fillin before 12/12!

getting the water out of DIY bubbler(they dont need to be moved), Syphon hose everytime for me, pumps are slower but work too.

Bilge pump would work too! just make sure to flush & keep clean!(theres loads of ways to get the sol out)

Loki id say by the time they finish stretch you'll be right so good timing, H'E- better to keep a lose canopy than a packed one, esp untill ya get the hang of it! prolly be packed out anyway, its only a small sceen tbh! G'luck!

Thanks for tips, scroger.

Was just concerned that screen won't fill to max. :tiphat:

very likey judging by its size imo! train at least half the stretch through the screen, soon fill it! most plants at least double if not treble in size from the time their flipped, Solid Indicas not so much. I like to aim for about 8-14" Colas, its hard to get it right(judge stretch) with a new strain.

Hey man welcome and thanks for stopping by! :)
Yeah i guess changing the water is the biggest con with hydro, but still, like you said its damn annoying with all the dirt also!
With a pump etc it shouldn't be that hard to change the water :)
Anyway i have about 10 weeks till next grow so i have a lot of time to think.

And about the fillin of screen, well first of all i don't really have that much time, i want to have some cured weed for new year and if everything goes well i will have smoke thats been cured for 4 weeks ready in time if i flip the lights today :dance013:

Big bang is a heavy indica and i have a feeling that this won't stretch that much. And actually its starting to grow a lot slower now then before. I just had a feeling that today is the day you know..

And ye id rather have a screen looking like this then a completely filled one. A bit more then half of the screen is filled now and i think thats pretty good.

Im probably going to continue training for 1-2 weeks to keep the even canopy.

I have about 70cm to fill up with buds so i don't think stretch will be a problem :)

Thanks for the replys guys, wouldn't half the fun to grow if it weren't for this forum! :jump:

50%+ would be normal for a heavy Indi, add that to the Screen, should be stellar, gotta have decent airflow, a tight canopy is asking for trouble anyway tbh. i found heavy Indi's dont like to be heavy scrogged/trained anyway, loadsa tops, farting buds if its overdone(it always varies).

I like 60/40 sat/indi hybrids, 70/30 too!¬) i see a nice finish for ya, G'Luck man!

I think with what i have now is good for airflow, got one fan under the canopy blowing up and one above the canopy blowing directly at the tops.

I also have a strong 100mm 150m³/h and a 120mm pc fan as intake. So airflow should not be a problem.

I love indicas man, and this one has some great smoke :) Very relaxing and perfect for vaporisers!

Im probably gonna get a humidifier, do you think it will make a big difference? And how big is the chance that the buds will rot?

Thanks!

with a Humidifier major, with a Dehuey very unlikely, keep ya canopy loose, no dead air spots in ya cab (45%+- approx RH-ya know for bloom) n you should be rocking!

I can get a humidifier for free so i will try it. Will keep on low setting and on a timer. I guess its good to have it off when the lights off?

Be sure you get a dehumidifier Loki not a humidifier, not sure if that was a typo or if you are confusing the two. Things are looking good in there...:tiphat:

Haha......
I just picked up an HUMIDIFIER, i thought that shit was good? :(

Not for budding plants.

Ideally you want the air to be drier when the plants are budding to help prevent bud rot, mold, and pm. The humidifier will put more moisture in the air, not what you want.

Ok so i guess im just not gonna use the humidifier. Keeping it for the next grow :)
