Currently I'm using adjustable drip stakes from drip depot, $0.69 each... Add a pump, timer, and some tubing, and you're about as close as it gets to blumats w/o getting the real deal.
I use 1 main 1/2" drip ring on the ceiling, with 1/4" lines coming down to 6 different levels, with a split at each level for the drip stake. The concept works, i just need to use a bigger pump I think.. I'm finishing up a 77 plant run, and I had 3 kick the bucket b/c they weren't getting enough water... It's my own fault though for not keeping the drip stake open enough.
cool man. can you go into a little more depth though, im having a hard time visualizing that setup of tubing.
also what size pump do you have? im currently have a 1200gph mondi.

You can design your feed however you want... b/c the flow on the stakes is adjustable. Just watch out for siphoning. Put a 1/4" elbow at the top of feed hose inside the res, so that it squirts water back into the res... it'll break any siphon. I've been feeding 70+ plants with a 500gph pump.. but I should have used 1,000gph just b/c overkill is underrated. I probably wouldn't have lost the few plants I did.

just taking a break from harvest here...been in the thick of it the past 2 days. man...my backs hurtin and my eyes are sore. and this time there are some crazy terps that are agitating my sinuses like none other!!! ive been plugging my nose so i dont get anything up it, but i still end up sneezing like a mofo......
in your opinion, would it be best to just split the 1/2" hose and run a line down each side and end them, or should i make a full loop of 1/2" around the stadium?

You need to do a complete ring to equalize pressure... Up and down is no good cause gravity is going to mess with the pressure. That's why I use the 1/4" tubing for the up and down runs, cause the pressure difference is smaller, and the amount of water coming out gets adjusted at the dripper. I mean I guess you could go up and down with the 1/2", but I didn't have very good experience with it, and I did it a few different ways. What I'm doing now is what I've seen in many many greenhouses, with my own twist of course.
Good luck with the harvest bro. I'm all sorts of allergic to the plant, and I get rashes and other nasty reactions... but it's so worth it!

sure man, i got the idea from icmag myself. search "a/c boxes made easy" and read it front to back at least 3 times. i had many many headaches before getting my a/c to work properly, but now it runs flawlessly.

That is one cool AC thread thanks Avatopaz! Man that clears up a LOT of issues I have been having.
Whats up guys..been a nice 2 week break from the grow room.
So after all is said and done after last harvest, I walked away with:
just short of 3lbs of trimmed Candy Kush nugs
1/2lb of Candy Kush popcorn
4lb untrimmed dreamstar (nugs+popcorn)
not horrible. got enough trimmed bud to help cover the next round at least. gonna be having a BHO making fest with all the dreamstar sometime soon.
But onwards and upwards!!!!
I just picked up the babies for the upcoming run. Picked up 25 OG Kush and 25 Euphoria and will be culling 4 of each after veg for a total of 42 plants.
Also picked up a Mendo Afgoo, and I plan on getting 1 more strain, and starting a mother/clone/preveg room. Probably just gonna rock a 400w over a 3x3 table for the moms, then use the same table for prevegging (letting the moms sit off to the side for a week or two) and then a clone station with enough room for 2 trays.
Heres everyone freshly transplanted into 5.5"x5.5" pots of Royal Gold Coco. They will probably stay in these for 2 weeks before being transplanted their final 2gal pots.

they look GREAT. these are honestly the best clones ive ever purchased, totally green, white roots BUSTING out of the cubes. however they did come with a little PM. Im glad I dont have any other plants around...but I will definitely have to treat them aggressively through veg. Whats your guys favorite methods for ridding PM???
Ive also decided to change up nutrients. Going pretty basic this time with just this stuff.

Basically just trying to simplify things and give the plants only what they need. CNS17 is a 1 part each for veg, early flower, and late flower. The kangaroots is beneficial microbes and the aquashield is compost solution, both which will work together to keep my rootzone in tip top shape. The bud candy will also provide carbs for the microbes. Lastly, the Protekt is just great stuff that many people overlook. Si is great for making plants stronger, and more resistant to disease/mold/pests and also harsh conditions.
also got a new set of bulbs. ran the last set 3 times so I figure its time to change em. trying Ushio this time, ive only ran Hortilux in the past. STOKED!!!
and here is the OG Hashcat posted up in the growroom, basking in the artificial HPS rays (i only let him in there when there plants have no resin...or else his hair sticks to everything!!!)

i simply ran 2x4s horizontally at each level and mounted them into the studs, and then just put the shelves on top and secure with a nail/screw
the OG is suppose to be straight up OG. i plan on topping it hard here within a week, their so lanky!!

Hi Hashcat,
Mad props on the stadium, I would not be so stressed on the herms. I have dealt with herm genetics a bunch, they always seem to throw the bananas near the bottom of the plant or on nugs that are blocked from light.
It is sort of weird, too much light will burn the plant and cause bananas on the top cola, easily seen. Too little light will cause popcorn, airy nugs which will have bananas as well.
I have also noticed this phenomenon on larger flowers, 3-5" in height. They will have bananas on the bottom "ring" of flowers and nowhere else. Plants which are sensitive to these things will do it more often.
I have never run a stadium or vert before, but I would suggest the same things as I do to other ( horizontal ) growers, lollipop the plants or train them into a screen. If there are no light-deprived popcorn-like buds, then there should be significantly less male flowers appearing. That or run genetics that are less prone to such stresses.
