Ideas for small drying chamber anyone?

I have 600watt closet project (see link below) I'm working on and I'm starting to think about building a small drying chamber. My idea is to convert a small dresser/night stand with a small inline and scrubber. Basically I was just wondering what everybody else had going on/ ideas.

I use the large paper yard waste bags, one per plant, their own individual drying rooms.

You could use something as simple as a cardboard box, or a rubbermaid tote would work well.

Thanks for the input so far guys! Two questions on the rubber tote idea 1: for fresh air are just burbing them, and 2: are you getting any plastic smell/taste on your buds?

What is your current setup?

I like best to have your flower intake air from your veg chamber and your veg chamber intake air from your clone/veg/drying chamber. two or three scrubbers in flower to slow down the air movement even more, one fan exhausting your entire shiznit.

Think of it.. unless you're doing perpetual, when you harvest you're going to be moving your vegged clones over to flower freeing up that chamber.

So you move em to flower and hang up your flowers, you will have plenty of the time to dry and trim before you gotta take more clones... depending on how big you're growing 'em out..

Drying in a cab well you're probably not growing them out too big right, so maybe my setup advice helps.

I was thinking more about adding a pc fan and small scrubber with some passive intakes for fresh air, and as far as any plastic smell or taste, there are a few grows here in rubbermaid totes and I've yet to see anything mentioned about bad smells/tastes. :tiphat:

You don`t have to buy a carbon scrubber for whatever you decide to dry your buds in. Just hook it up to a passive air intake in your flowering closet and let your existing scrubber do the job! I do my drying in a cardboard box which is located outside of my flowering room, and I never smell anything using this method.

Great ideas guys! Some more info for you to help pick your brain. You can check out the link in my sig to my current set up. It has full specs and pics. I am doing perpetual, so I guess I can't utilize my flower room. In the past I have done the paper bag/box idea, but as my buds have got better/stinky I have been wondering if there is more stable way/cure. My wife and I live in a one bed place and entertain, so it would be nice not to have to deal with smelly bags around.
Thanks a ton guys!

Great info! I don't know much scrubbers (micro cfl scrog grows in the past). So I'm wondering if a comp fan could pull air thru the scrubber?

Here's what I built to dry bud in.

I found a box for $5 at a building material recycling place. The box measured 16"w x 19"d x 40"h and had a hinged top to it.

I removed a side panel to use as a door.

Next I secured the top to the box, added some brackets on the sides to hold shelves. I made shelves from strips of wood with 1/4" hardware cloth for the buds to rest on. Air holes were drilled around the top of all four sides of the box. I also put some hardware cloth on the top of the box so I could hang colas if I wanted to.

I built a homemade scrubber that rests on small pieces of wood on the bottom of the cab. The scrubber is connected to a 4" vent that goes out the back of the box. On the outside of the box I connect a 4" inline fan. This fan sucks air in through the top of the box, down past the bud, through the scrubber and out the bottom back of the box.

Here's a shot of the finished box, minus the door.

Thanks a ton blynx! This is def more what I was thinking! I "heard" that if you lay your BIG colas on their side when trying they get squished, so I like how you have both options. Have you noticed this? Thanks again!

Small grow box with window ac hooked up to it and a decent fan with speed control and gated self closing fresh air intake. Also with filter/fan that comes on for short periods 24/7 to keep the room fresh but not waste the ac...

Yes larger buds can end up with a 'flat' side if you lay them on a screen while drying. The denser the buds, the less it happens.

Sorry but I'm confused with what the ac is for?
