I did not mean cut early, i mean the early plants are finishing...

totally has begun. about 40 hrs of trimming posted for fri and sat...

Beginning of the end is always looking at the pile that will never end.

EVERYONE... IT WILL END!

Rejoice then...

rain on the forcast next week in mendo, humbolt and even over in butte.....

ive been seeing quite a few premature outdoor packs hitting the market down here, and they are all saying the same thing "had to pick early, blah blah"...pretty much same with my garden got hit by cats and now rain is coming next week...i seriously hope most of this years outdoor doesnt look as bad as some of the things ive seen......i really liked everyones light dep for the most part but damn cant wait til some of the better outdoors hit the market here..

Some of the outdoor I saw yesterday pretty much qualified as the worst shit i'd ever seen.

Brown from stem out, absolutely just dead brown. Smelled like shit.

Sleepy Hollow is in the early beginnings of first cut harvest. The top regions of my LA Con, Querk, Grandaddy, Romulan and OG are all showing 50/50 cloudy-amber. I do believe because the plants were close to 5ft in height when planted is contributing to the somewhat early harvest. That and a slightly higher elevation. The Sativas (Blue Dream & Cindy99) are still stacking. No bugs or cats. The buds being taken are firm, heavy and large. I dont think I could ask for better. Well, I would have liked to see some color on the purps but perhaps the second and third cuts will throw some color as we are just now beginning to see the lower temps.

It just started raining here in the north end of the 530 around 6:30am. I thinks it's going to be a lite rain that hopefully wont cause any problems in the Hollow or for all of my fellow gro-pards who have worked so hard this season. I do worry that tomorrow the temps will be back in the 90's with a low in the high 50's tonite. Pretty big swing in temp change and with wet plants, could be a recipe for mold. We'll see.

Hope all my grow-pards are doin well, the summer has blessed y'all and everyone will soon enjoy the hard earned fruits of a long season of labor...CC

Got some wind last night. The biggest Headband was whipping around big colas fat as your bicep. We took that plant out, and its hanging in the shop. It was all cloudy Trichomes. Will make for a great euphoric high

Shake, shake, shake, bro. Very cool this morning, heavy dew.

Found a moldy tip on a Blue Dream this morning. They are nearly a month away from being done. Will they make it the distance? Who knows. This season's had a lot of x-factors going the wrong way for us. Might counter attack with a Mycostop foliar if its breezy as the sun goes down. Obviously its a hard decision to make to put more moisture on plants that already have too much moisture on them... if they are going to have a heavy morning dew on every morning, what's a little more, but with some beneficial microbes to fight the malevolent ones.

More showers in the 10-day. One servive actually calling for "Rain" vs "showers" or "few showers"...

exciting year to say the least.

Shit... That moldy tip was actually dead- the result of a caterpillar. It had actually cut the stem inside the bud and the tip of the bud died off.

Worrisome. No other damage/cats found yet.

Its comforting to know that we aren't dealing with mold yet. Hopefully this will be an isolated caterpillar event...

I like it. The reflection from the white wall looks to be helping...

yea gave the colas a nice shake and the sun hit hard today everything was dry again by mid afternoon...but 3 days worth of "thunderstorms and showers" are coming up october 1-3rd out here in butte county.....so we are chopping everything. luckily we ran earlier strains like LVPK and LA Con, but i definately would have liked an extra week or two, i cannot imagine having something that still needs a month. next year only running september strains....alot of guys here on the ridge have already chopped and dried their LA Cons and purples, and they are looking pretty nice too...

Nomaad,

Thought finding mold on blue dream this early sounded a bit odd. To hopefully set your nerves at ease a bit, last year had Blue Dream colas laying on colas laying on top of more colas through all the rain up until November and lost way less then 1% to mold. Was hoping it would turn purple, but never really did. Got a nice blue hue to it eventually. Seemed a bit denser and lighter colored around Oct 15th, Oct 21st cuts though.
