Thanks for the update bro :jump: :jump:

You gotta have your own backyard...:plant grow:

yeah man! id like to see gaiusmarious rocking a backyard full of girls too!

u ever decide to get a house with some land u will never ever regret it! garden guerilla is almost safer and lets u have more controll. i prepared today a small spot for one ssh/ptk x beeniemans in-between my chilis. my climate is arrid, but you live in such a lush country, you would easilly be able to grow dossens of plants inbetween stuff in a garden :D

good luck man with the deer! , but it could also be rabbits and such. i had that once happen to me too in sweden. my first outdoor ever. lost all plants!

peace!

Fairly easy to tell , rabbit will cut cleanly & a deer will leave a small tag on stem/branch .

Lucky theres no moose loose , i remember one of the north american growers on OG kept losing his plants to them . They just stripped the whole plant off in one almighty mouth & left more gloop behind than an arabian whore house .

damn , better luck next year ey

i will also never do another guerillia without a cage from the beginning

ah well at least you have happy brother bx coming your way

happy bro is soooooo nice mmmmm

thanks man, we live and learn eh. happy brother is finally in flowering, with cheese s1's and sour amnesia. looking forward to those buds.

Hey Gaius :tiphat:

They're not looking too bad really, you should be able to still pull a couple of decent tops from there, if the deer lets you :) On the plus side, you should feel good for feeding the local fauna, and I'm not talking about the ticks!

But yeah, cages. They're fairly easy to make, light, and once they are in the site you can reuse them.

Happy trimming,

B

as you and everyone else including me are saying; no plants without cages next time lol.

it's been over a month since i took the last pics, as i haven't been back i have no idea if they are even still alive. i do hope at least 1 of them makes it to the end, as i am most interested to see if this pheno copes well with flowering out doors.

Hi Gaius

For not visiting much... they look fine ...

yep cages from the off is deffo the way ahead ... bloody deer wont get a chance next year lol

yeah i really want to go and check on them in the next week or so. would be nice if i can harvest some thing, even if it's only a few tops off 1 plant.

Thanks for the update bro :jump: :jump:

been looking at some houses recently, so a back garden might be in the near future. i will put up a green house for sure and add ventilation and carbon scrubber. but got to find the right place.

yeah man! id like to see gaiusmarious rocking a backyard full of girls too!

i know a, a house with garden would be awesome. i'm very interested to grow my own salads and vegetables too. but it's not so easy to organize a house over here.

yeah at this point i'm not counting on any harvest from this seasons outdoor. anything that makes it through will be a bonus. i guess if the plants are still there now, then they will make it to the end if the mold doesn't get them at the end that is :) remember these are indoor strains, non of the outdoor fridians made it past 1 foot before they became deer fodder.

yeah nice to see your spot in dark green bro

yeah i think this spot has great potential, quite high soil quality too, which i will make more use of next time.

still happily enjoying my afghan diesel with every spliff. but it's the bubble i made from a bunch of different sd x cj phenos that really blowing me away at the moment. i have trichomefamer drooling after it ever since i smoked some with him hehe.

good to know, in that case it's deer, as the left overs are ragged, not clean cut at all. except for the lower part of the stems, they look like the branches were chewed off pretty clean, if it was rabbits the higher parts would have a better chance i guess? or do they fell the plants like beavers lol. timber!

Any new shots mon?

no brotha Maximo, nothing new to report at present. they could all be deer shit on the forest floor by now for all i know, hehehe. remember my moto, hope for the best but prepare for the worst. will try and get out there soon though, i'm curious myself by now what's happening with them.

I have never known a rabbit fell a plant to reach higher growth , usually they only ever eat what they can reach {leaf & soft vegetation}
Over time i have seen certain mj plants in my garden tasted by the deer & then left alone for the rest of the season creating a bit more branching & creating little damage . I don`t know why but maybe they dislike the taste ?
But if that`s the case why one plant & not another ?

well what ever it was, has felled another plant. chewed through the stem and killed the plant. so down to 3 afghan diesel left. could have been a good season i think. but the genetics are too slow and as we know fences are essential lol.

anyway here we have the shots i took the day before yesterday...

as you can see for the end of september they are not far along at all. specially when you consider how fast they flower inside. looks like we're up for a race against the mold.

all in all it seems the soil is not quite nutritious enough to keep the plants happy even with what we added.

all in all it's been a disapointing outdoor season. but mainly through my own fault so it's all good. have a full proof plan of action for next season now, hehe...

Hey, gaiusmarius...
I think your girls look good. Great color. Love that reddish hue. Don't be so disappointed. It could be so much worse!
Do you think it's mice/voles chewing at that girl? I lost some serious ladies to mice/voles this year! Maybe a little Peter Cottontail rabbit was havin' a snack. Looks like a small critter though. Rodent/Rabbit. Never too late for some small fencing and most importantly... big mouse traps! They definitely work; I've caught mice/voles, small rabbits and even birds in the bigger traps... yep birds. Lol. I felt bad about the rabbit.

I think you made a decent mix for your holes but it might not have been concentrated enough to last all season. Maybe more volume and a bit more concentration next year.
Have you done any side/top feeding? It's never too late for that either.
You can't change it now so what are you gonna' do?
If you feel like side feeding might be too slow and you got some extra coco nutes lyin' around, I'd hit those girls with PK for a week. They say you can use Canna in any medium so if you got something like that, maybe try it out.

You said they grow faster inside...but you're also using coco coir indoors, right? That coco indoors will make a soil grow seem slow, for sure.
That's no joke. I used it outside this season, I think we talked briefly on this through PM, it's been tough to water but it's been explosive. I know you'd love it outside with coco, although it is extremely tough for guerrilla grows.

It is a race against mold now... my thoughts and vibes are goin' out for ya', brutha.
Had to chop a couple girls about 10 days early due to some small mold spots and upcoming weather, now that's disappointing, so I know how you feel man.

Can't wait to see an update in a week when your ladies are really filling out.
This is a good grow.
Be proud, man. Outdoors is an art! We all make mistakes... it's how you make those negatives into positives that count!

From everything I hear it has been a tough ride this season with all the cool wet weather.

The survivors look decent and you should get at least a couple of jars for the season. Here's to sunny fall days!

Do not despair my friend, all is still in good shape!:)
They look a bit hungry but fine over all...
Maybe you planned a larger harvest, but they look healthy still.
Those colors are lovely, expressing better flavours in the end and they're building some nice bud structure.
just be patient and you'll be rewarded well.
Take the opportunity to give some liquid feed to them, they'll love it.

I think that no animals killed that plant. This happens to me at least averagely to 2-3 plant on 25. Suddenly it's like all nutrients are washed away and the plant dies and very fast, drooping leaves and yellowing. There's no watering, no feeding able to recover it. Best thing is to cut it and use for hash. Something got fucked in roots area (budrot? rootbound? asphixya? parasites? heavy deficiency? phungus? a mix of above? dunno... it's like they have too small and cold feet to go on flowering... )
I tried in years to prevent this phenomenon with preparing a better hole in the beginning and fertilizing continously during season.
Anyway I always wonder how much they eat! Always thinking 'man, this time I'll overfert....' but always being too low...
Outdoor all plants in surrounding are sucking eagerly for nutrients, lot of competition. It's wilderness!
Notice that their color is the same of the surrounding vegetation. So it's fine. The plant is all right, nutrients in soil are just running low. Give what they need, it's like indoor... But don't forget to spread out ferts to neighbour plants....
Now it's kinda late for solid amendaments to be composted properly, go for liquid. Go organic. and stop 2 weeks before harvest (just monitor the situation...)
I carry some ultra concentrated flowering solution in a bottle (for weight) and I diluite it on site.
I like to use some but guano (soma recipe) and some activated teas to strenght microflora. And why not some flowering stimulators like biomagno's.
I think you'll need a month more, let's hope and dance for a good season. Watch out for slugs (add a last cup of slug repellent) and molds...

Outdoor nature is so forgiving, but merciless sometimes.
Take care, bro
hope to see you soon, HTCC in nov maybe?
would be great!:dance013:

Hey, i agree to dr.penthotal. i had serveral outdoor harvests with plants with deficiencies like yours as well... -a wonderful colour, by the way... really nice :)
..but i made the experience that quite often these buds are not so huge and the crop is not that big, but these buds are very tasty and very well grown, i mean compact.
So be patient, you will see, that u like these buds :D
If you don`t want to harvest them early you could put a nice dose nutrientsolution on it i think, or when u wanna chop them?

Have a nice harvest and don`t forget to collect some of these nice leaves ;)

thanks man, all things considered one has to be happy to even harvest anything as a guerrilla grower. i fully concur with your thoughts on the holes, a bit bigger and plagron super bio mix, less perlit and some forest top soil mixed back in. of course fencing will be the most vital as well as the right strain for outside. i do believe my afghan diesel is not suited for out doors, it just ripens too late and is not very mold resistant.

From everything I hear it has been a tough ride this season with all the cool wet weather.

The survivors look decent and you should get at least a couple of jars for the season. Here's to sunny fall days!

hey man, yeah we have a couple of jars worth in the end, alas in the end we only harvested 2 plants as another one got molded off. it was a close thing, but i believe they are as ripe as possible without losing the lot to mold. at the moment it's curring. my mate has already been smoking some of it so i'll ask him how it is.

Do not despair my friend, all is still in good shape!:)

many thanks for all the great tips and advise, i didn't end up giving any more food. this whole season was very low maintenance only went out there a very few times. the next season will be the one, will use all the good info all you folks have shared. thinking of using frisian dew once more and maybe 1 or 2 other strains.

yeah i could have done a last feed, but i didn't get around to it. i'm always into less ferts rather then more, specially towards the end. many thanks for the positive words.

one great thing about this type of growing is that you get out in nature more then you ever would otherwise, it's really quite a magical feeling to be out there digging the holes preparing the soil in the middle of wild land. even though results take some work and discipline to get results, but that similar indoors too, it's just a matter of learning whats vital and whats less important. i do plan to try again next season.

Hallo Gaius!
Any update of your outdoor?
stay in peace bro

sucks to see something was eating your plants. here is what i do as the area i grow in has a REALLY high amount of deer. actually my spot used to be one a deer path, that is how i found it.. i was following the game trail then ended up in an open patch in the woods. the whole open patch was filled with thorn bush's and sucked to walk threw.. i used it to my advantage. I brought in some chicken wire and blocked off the trail and then used the thorn bush's as a fence for the rest of the area. after clearing my area in the middle i then put a second only 2 1/2 feet tall chicken wire fence around the whole area.. (just to keep rabbits and stuff out) I must say with my set up that for a very high deer area, and being on a now old game trail, iv never had a deer touch one of my plants. the only thing i have had is one time i was in checking them out and just out side of my clearing i heard some grunting and then a few things running away. needless to say i got out of there quick as i have ran into coyotes in that area before. but after checking on google and youtube i found out it was a deer... so my plan did work.... maybe some kinda set up like this would help you out for the future.. also another thing i do right from the start is i plant 4 extra seeds in the idea that 4 might not pop. and then from there half of what i put out i plan to lose to bugs, mold, and deer (gotta always consider them) best of luck next year, and i will be watching next time around as i missed this one.

i think the 3rd time will be the charm, although despite everything my mate has been smoking nothing but the outdoor ever since harvest so it wasn't a total failure lol. i have purchased the plagron super bio mix and ewc for next season, fences will be made with gardening wire, local bushes and trees and bamboo stakes where needed. where i did that before the deer left the plants alone. as so many plants got eaten in the early stages the soil should still be fine specially once we add the super bio mix and myco to the planting holes when the time comes. i have bid on 2 strains from esbes HVH and a pack of double dutch is also on the way. so we will see how it goes, still a few months to go before we can think of starting the new seasons preparations. i will put a link here when i start the new adventure lol.

Well, it wasn't deer that was doing that - some kind of grub or something in the soil killing roots, period - it's not able to uptake any moisture OR nutes, just shrivels and dies. Could be moles or shrews, too, not sure but either some kind of rodent or some bug in the soil - next year amend with some heavy duty stuff or come out early and nuke the holes and the areas around with some good grub and soil pest killing pesticide, if you are gonna use the same spots, I'd do the same anyway looking at how many you lost due to this strange issue.
