Also newbie plays a small role in hermie traits a strain has. They just bring it out sooner from making mistakes.

this thread is dumb,,

i could take 95/100 plants everyone of different genetics and make everyone either hermie or not hermie no problem,,,

i would stress the plants out to do it,,, so it would be stress that caused it,, almost everything can hermie,,,

Especially deciduous annuals......

You were making fun of me about my logic....

Not much gets past you.

I put this thread in this section because I feel that hydro guys are probably the most knowledgeable growers not that this is a hydro issue.......

I rest my case. Assuming that a knowledge of medium suggests advanced knowledge of intersex is a bit odd, don't you think?

Why would I start this thread if I had problems with late hermies???

Ask your psychologist.

To experienced growers.... I have had this fabulous plant for several grows.....
during that time it has never had male flowers....
now all of a sudden after 4 flowerings there they are.....
Can I take a cutting from where there are no male flowers and it be 100% female again????

Sounds like you have a problem to me pal. Including the idea you had a 100% female. Until you're 100% knowledgeable, don't make what amounts to 100% assumptions.

I have better things to do......
:comfort:

if you have 10 plants and you have a light leak on the right side. The plants that are the closest to that leak might Hermie sooner then the ones farther away. If you have 1 plant that Hermie's if not caught in time the whole room is toast.

I gave you an example....

promix is probably the most widely used soilless mix.....

Since you like questions....

There are two common types of hermies in cannabis can you tell me how they are different?????

It did confuse me a bit at first as I knew the plants were female and then saw male flowers later.

It happened about 5-6 years ago the guy refused to listen to me and said he didn't need to spend more money on a timer and that he would just turn it off himself each day. It was from local swazi bagseed you could call it.

we have already given you the correct forum to get answers to those questions but you refuse to go there why is that.. You said soil like in the same sentence as promix that's why I asked.

I'm afraid he's more mixed up than that. Something tells him the fact he didn't have herms in the interim means he had a 100% female. Now the poor girl swings both ways and the op wants to convert 'shim' back to normal. IMO, one has to know what normal is before they have a chance of getting it back.

Thats actually fairly close....

Its just a matter of biology....

Plants normally have perfect flowers..... they contain both male and female parts....

cannabis plant can have perfect flowers.... normally called nanners.... male parts come from female flowers.....

Cannabis can also have imperfect male flowers....where the plant has male flowers are seperate from female flowers......

The reason it may be important...is due to pollen viability....

imperfect flowers are usually much better at making seeds than the perfect type....normally called nanners.....

Thats because they are close to moist female parts and often never break open to spit pollen....
