the CUSH aka green crack was done by a guy named cecil on OG. i remember him fondly as i used to talk to him all the time. he lived in athens and grew some sweet buds, he said it was an 89 superskunk X unknown indica. and yes snoop gets the credit for callin it green crack. some of cecils friends got back stage and pulled out the CUSH, snoop smoked it and thats all he wanted to smoke and said its like green crack so the name stuck. hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wish i still could get the cush, i lived an hour away from athens at the time used to make many a trip to go party and hang with friends,,,,the good ole days

stay safe and free,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,dwtc

Can anyone tell me how this strain performs in vert? I imagine it does pretty well due to it's branchy nature, any truth to that? Any tips for growing it are much appreciated... Likes/dislikes/etc. Best to bush them out big or go with high numbers? What kind of stretch should one expect?
^gist of what I said

mine didn't stretch that much, 75% more maybe. she has a real nice bush structure, but would probably do nicely as smaller bushes.

if vert, i found her to veg incredibly fast (as i showed above in my case) and i'm finding her awfully prone to PM. but i think it was infected as a clone.

my blue dreams, and c4 are quite resistant, tahoe too. the gc just keeps on gettin stuck w it.

ugh.

i'm feeding her lucas GH between 1100-1300 pH in the 5's

i'm thinking of running one at 900 to see if she responds better...

anyone wanna chime in with how they fed theirs?

not trying to be rude, or flame or whatever, but i think you guys have done this strain wayyy wrongggg in so many ways(except for Karma). i see everybody on here saying 56 days and 60 days flowering? ive grown this strain several times(was my first beside bagseed), my buddies have been growing this since ive known them. so ive been around this strain for 12 yeas plus some. to get the full effect, bag appeal, and most importantly SMELL & TASTE, you have to chop her before 50 days. ive smoked alot of cali and colorado gc before, and to me it doesnt compare, oddly enough, with the earlier harvested and less fed local herb that we have. the smell and taste deteriorate from a perfect mango funk, to a bland(still sweet) commercial tasting beaster herb. ive harvested from 40 days to 55 days(ive seen it harvested at 38 hydro), and you can really tell the difference in the taste and the zippy high after 49 or 50 days. just goes right out the window. to me the bag appeal go down the drain too, because it is pretty much half indica. if you cut at 6-7 weeks, the buds are still nice and fluffy, bright orange pistils, and resemble by look and effect a nice sative hybrid. the stuff ive seen from cali and colorado look like any other kush hybrid when done for 9-10 weeks. just seems like ppl push this amazingly fast yet still potent plant too hard, and in doing so lose what i think are the best qualities of this strain.:gday:

to each their own, that is your opinion. Yes, it can be pulled as early as 40 days, but most people don't like it that early, unless they are just growing it to move it. I always preferred mine between 45-55 days, but I don't even run it anymore.

...well Im gonna have to maybe try that.
I know its a 7-8 wk strain but Ive never seen any that was cut at 6 weeks. Right around 8 weeks is when I'm seeing the tirchs turn amber. I pull it with the other 8-9wk strains i do and we all think it tastes amazing and a great high... to each his own, but Im gonna have to try that, thanks :)

i never take anything to amber. to me you are masking the true effect of the plant. if my clone survives then this lady will get her turn ;)

:) Thanks for the advice everyone!
Took some GC down at 54 days this time so I will see what I/we like. I have some GC at 60 days as well to do my test. Next time I may take one down at 50 days then Ill have all 3 to do my taste test.

i can't believe NO ONE has made S1's with the Green Crack....why is there no seed version of Green Crack....I know its a clone only but whens the last time that has stopped a seed version of a clone only strain being released...ie Chemdog, OG Kush,

Someone has got too take their clone and cross it with something similar or STS it...

I think because its an unstable hybrid of hybrids Chefboy but I may be wrong....GH and DNA seeds were selling seeds for a 'lemon skunk' strain I believe. They had the GC clone and were selling green crack as lemon skunk in coffeshops. I dont know about the seedline(s)... OG Rascal had s1s in progress but idk what happened.

For the people cutting their GC at 40-55 days do you think you are losing weight??? I let it go 60 days or 8 wks more often than not, seems that last week orso it puts on alot of weight/density.

How many days flowering are those plants Humble? Looks like around 8 weeks from here. The purpleness and 'fall colored/turning' leaves usually set on around the 8th week.
