In the last week here in Sacramento there have been at least 3 instances of rippers getting what they deserve. This is the latest.

Homeowner Investigated In Deadly North Sac Confrontation

Police: Appears Dead Man Trying To Steal Medical Marijuana

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A Del Paso Heights homeowner is being investigated after a man who may have been trying to steal medical marijuana from inside the home was found dead in a back yard, said Sacramento police.
"There are certainly many possiblities of what happened and they will all being looked into. The man did suffer upper body trauma so the circumstances of his death are what they're looking into," said Laura Peck, Sacramento police homeowner.
A report of a shooting and a deceased man behind a Morey avenue was received by police at 3:11 a.m.
Police arrived to find the victim also had "significant trauma" to his upper body, said police.
The dead person appears to be in his 20s, said a police officer on scene.
Sacramento police say the homeowner does have medical marijuana paperwork.
The shooting is being investigated as a crime, but could potentially be ruled self defense, said police.

where I live it takes about 20-45 minutes to get a sheriffs deputy to respond to a call, 20 minutes during the day time & 45 mins or more at night. I wouldn't shoot a man retreating or running from my house but if he were to take a single step toward me then I would w/out hesitation.

I am a peaceful man as well but you better believe if someone breaks into my home that will change very quickly. Since the burglar didnt kill anyone you see his theft as ok? That is the most asinine statement I have ever heard. Like Stoner said, if he was running away empty handed and I couldnt catch him he would be free, but if he was trying to leave with my stuff or still in my home he would have a few extra holes in him to worry about.

I don't know about California but most other places - if you shoot the guy OUTSIDE of your home they can get you for manslaughter or even murder. I'm surprised they didn't arrest the homeowner. I'm glad they didn't though. I hope he gets off. My question is how are thugs finding houses with medical grows in them? Sure you can sometimes smell it from the street, but you have to wonder if sometimes it's as simple as someone paying a local official some money for a glance at city records showing who has growing papers, and then invading said homes.
NEVER shoot someone outside of your house or in the back. Make sure it's IN THE HOUSE. It's very hard to make a self defense case with the burglar being shot while fleeing the house. If I caught someone in my house here and fought with them, then chased them out onto my lawn and shot them, I would most likely face manslaughter or lesser murder charges. Fucked up state, fucked up laws. Getting out of here ASAP.

thats why you drag his ass back inside... also make sure hes dead.. cause in USA if someone breaks into your house and a dog bites him or you shoot him and he lives... that guy can now SUE you for EVERYTHING including all the shit in your house he was trying to steal and your house... thats America for ya...

In the UK a couple of day ago, a family man was arrested for stabbing to death a burglar. The burglar was stabbed five times with his own knife.

The home owner was arrested and has been bailed I think. Hope he don't go down for it.

The dead man shouldn't have been in someone elses family space trying to take their stuff.

These punks get what they deserve.
