taste or buzz?

what do you lot (uk) like from your weed?

most of the people i know in the uk love a good smelly, and super tasting weed.

i find that is more common here in the uk.

alot of my dutch friends go for a looker, or a more stoney weed

i myself love the taste of a good stinky sativa. doesnt have to blow my head off my shoulders, though it does help

i would not smoke it if it didnt taste great so i look for taste first buzz second, but i make sure i keep an eye out for those with the unbelievable taste and a buzz that is unique and inspiring. you can have both of those people, it is out there. peace and smoke.

People in weed friendly countries have the choice unfortunately with out growing ourselves we have no choice unless in my case I have a very good source who stocks varies strains so I can have a play around....

I personally would go for HIGH over smell, The moldest, dampest and to be prefectly honest the ugly weed i have ever smoked was actually some of the best in terms of high.

The ultimate is a perfect blend, but I have not yet been fortunate enough to find MY (everyones different) holy grail!

Personally I remember when weed didnt come "cherry or grapefruit or lemon" flavoured, it came weed flavoured... some more peppery some more pissy but all smelled and taste like "cannabis" not fruit or chocolate or cheese or deisel or any of that stuff....

So for me it was always about getting high.. thats why I smoke a joint, to get high.. as Blimey says, everything else is secondary...

I would say though that I LOVE tasty smelly herb, but foremost should be the feeling of a cattle truck to the senses



edit - sarah88 - try amnesia and/or chocolope.. they're very different in hits and flavours, but both are powerful deliverers in both areas ... even Daddy Fingaz agrees

If I want something that tastes nice I'll buy a bar of chocolate. It's called skunk for a very good reason, it's a truly disgusting smell. I've got more tolerant of it over time, because I associate it with the nice feeling of being stoned, but I still don't like it. I wouldn't have anything to do with it at all on the basis of the smell or taste alone.

I'm definitely just in it for the high, it's just unfortunate for me that the strains with the most THC tend to give off more terpenes.

even as a youngster buddies would be like "can you taste that" or " so sweet" to tell the truth when i pull off of dry bud i can taste it nicely, but once it's lite my pallet takes a dive for the worse.

i smoke with tobacco anyway so it has to be very tasty to cut through that. my Blueberry does and UK cheese does.
unlike most i like the buzz on UK cheese. the first 10 minutes are a bit mongy but it levels out nicely after that.

i would go for buzz personaly aswell.
i just not long ago finished a harvest and i had a swiss-miss i think it was plant that hermied and polinated my cheese i think.(grew the seeds out last harvest.)
any way it it stunk the house and street up with a high lemon-cheesy smell.
it smelt lovley but i could not feel a buzz off it and ended up giving about 6,0z away.
so for me it could smell of anything but if it aint got a good buzz i would be better
using them flavour skins you get with tabbaco in.
my carbon fillter is copping with this grow much better but i am up grading just incase.

I agree with Jamiesshoes about weed tasting like weed not lemon or something. Taste is important, you don't wanna be smoking some dirty tasting weed all day but if it is good strong weed it normally tastes great anyway

I think as far as smoking marijuana is concerned , the buzz , taste and smell are all vital to the overall marijuana therapeutic experience.It doesnt have to smell or taste sweet or wateva , but it should have a defined taste and a smell , which compliments the high , otherwise its just not fun shmoking it
I mean i wont wanna be high as a kite , with my senses heightened and smelling something nasty/cruddy and with a bland boring flavor.That would put me off.If a product lacked in those qualities i would rather make some tasty edibles with it n get buzzed.
But i think as far as smoking marijuana goes , i would say taste and smell are as important as the nature of the high. Mostly all of the good landraces being produced in the hot spots in the world will usually possess those qualities too.I think thats what makes marijuana so unique , being such a complex product aesthetically in comparison to other psychedelics.

i, myself, cant smoke a weed that tastes shit.

i have a very sensitive palet

and im very fussy even with my food.

im not a fan of diesel either. i can smoke some, but wouldnt put it in my jars. more like smoke it when the jars are empty, and only in small doses

im also a sativa lover, and some of them are not as strong as a pure indy

i love some deep chunk, but again in small quantities.

sssdh - tastes great, though again, not as strong (1 of my fav's)

Buzz for me.... taste is a bonus... as long as it is not harsh to smoke, I'm happy!
My fav used to be WW, now known as Black Widow.. powerful Acidic skunky taste... but now flavours are becoming more sweet, broadening the cannabis world to all kinds peoples pallets. Good shit!
