*The K.I.S.S. Method*

First off I would like to say THANK you for creating this thread. It is going to save me a lot in the long run.

Now I have a question. I am not too great at math and am having trouble calculate my needs. I have 6 plants, in 5gallon pots, all using 100% Coco Coir. How many bags of Maxibloom would be necessary to complete through flower? The plants are already 1 month+ into veg/fully rooted.
Hi Ave.
On my first KISS grow (first grow ever) I had 7 plants in 2 gal. airpots & used a full 2 lb. bag through the end of flower & came up 3 feedings short so I bought a second 2 lb. bag . Good for the next run.
Your results may vary.
Cheers,
bruce

Last question. I am currently using CNS17 grow, CalMag+ and Ripe. I'm at day 18 and plan on adding the ripe at day 21. Can I switch NOW to maxibloom only with success?

hey i stoped using maxibloom and started using FNB for a week and now i see these small rusty dots all over the big fan leaves. im going back to MB.

Switched over to Maxibloom today. Plant is exactly 3 weeks from seed (21 days). Transplanted to it's final home in a 2gallon smart pot. Added some calmag for precautions and 7g of Maxibloom. PPM of feed is about 800 runoff after feeding is 1220.

Using Nutrifield Coco Coir Fiber. Here is to Amber's safety and full life!

Anything like this available on the UK market?

I don't really want to pay £24 postage on something that costs £11 in the first place on ebay.

If you read the thread I think you'll find that you aren't the first to ask this very same question.

Hunting for answers is usually far faster than waiting for them, ...it is also more fruitful because you will find answers to questions you don't know to ask yet.

Peace, SOG

On a recommendation from Lokes, I tried MaxiBloom for the first time last run on some Blue Cheese and Deep Congo E - worked like a friggin' charm. Added some Silica Blast, a little Hygrozyme, a little CalMag every 3 or so waterings, some powdered KoolBloom near the end, a little molasses, and 7 days of plain H2O. Just as easy as 2-part Flora or FloraNova, only cheaper and with less slime deposits on my tubing. The finished product provided a very good yield for Deep Congo and was connoisseur grade all the way, with beautiful color, massive flavor, and it burned to an almost pure white ash.

I'm sold - MaxiBloom is Le Merde. I'm never going back. My current Maxi-fed crop is also as lush, stout and beautiful as any I've ever overseen. I just wish I had discovered it sooner.

I've been using MaxiBloom for a couple weeks now along with Aquarium Water for an extra kick on N.

I've been PHing my water to about 6.4 and I'm growing in FoxFarm Soils.

Should I PH down more?

Speaking of pH ... I am trying out Maxibloom this run with tap water (.3 EC, 7.5 pH out of the tap) using Blumats in coco. I am very pleased with the results about 7 weeks in. I had been using H&G with good results but wanted to try something simpler so here I am.

My only challenge so far is that the pH of the reservoir creeps upward every day. My best guess at this point is that the tap water is buffering the pH up. The best I can do with ambient temperature is 74 degrees and I am afraid this is a little bit too warm and could also be contributing to the climb. With H&G I never had problems with pH in the reservoir but I was also using RO water exclusively. I am planning on dumping the reservoir this weekend and mixing up a batch using RO only with no tap and adding CalMag and see if I get better stability. I should also mention that I have been using Drip Clean, Silica Blast, and recently Dutch Master Zone but based on my past usage of these items they aren't the problem.

So my question to other Maxibloom users using a reservoir ... what have your experiences with pH stability been? I love the simplicity and great results of Maxibloom but I can't help but obsess over this pH problem. I am hoping switching to RO will fix the problem but I would love to hear about anybody else's experiences in this area. Thanks in advance.

I confess that I haven't read all 96 pages, so this may have been answered already, but does anyone use a weak KISS solution (1/4 strength, 1/2 strength maybe) in a spray bottle on their plants? Only on my second grow, but I have heard that plants love to absorb nutrients through their leaves during veg, and was wondering if I should be doing this.

I wouldn't waste your time doing that imo.

Peacefrog,

I'm using a 40 gallon rez using maxi, fulpower, sm90, & protekt at the moment with tap as well. Ph for me climbs about .1-.2 every day. Are you using anything to circulate the water? Also, other members are advising to add your silica first before anything else because adding last can cause cloudiness. Let that sit for a bit then your nutes. I actually got a little bit of cloudiness last night cause my ambient temps went up to 79 lately. Added 1ml bleach to 10 gallons of nute mix. I'm pretty sure it's gone now. Hope that helped you somehow.

d2g - Thanks for the input. I see the same thing - about .1 to .2 climb per day and had the same results with the batch mixed with RO. I do not circulate the reservoir although that is something I have considered - my only concern is the heat a submersible pump adds to the reservoir. I have used air stones in the past but that doesn't do much for circulation.

I do add the Silica Blast before Maxibloom. I may try my next fresh reservoir without any additives - just tap water and Maxibloom and see if that is more stable. I did finally break down and put a portable AC in the grow room after I kicked up the wattage for flowering - I am now able to keep ambient at around 71 degrees and I am hoping that will help stablize things as well. I just did that over the weekend so it too soon to say if it helped.

Thanks again for the input. I'll post back if I ever figure out a solution.

With 79 ambient temps my Rez stays at 72 according to my ph meter and I have two 132gph pumps mixing stuff up. So I think you'll be ok. Well let us know what you figure out bro. Gluck!
