Have you ever talked to a doctor about using cannabis for a given problem and have them just quit listening to what your actually saying and fill in some blanks for them selves? It is the same way with most people that aren't aware that the propaganda that has been fed to them their entire lives are at least 90% lies and the rest is twisted to put fear into the subject so they would accept the lies without question. We need to get past that mentality to get the truth across. Reffering to it by its true name has a better chance of getting past that blind spot than all the "nicknames" it goes by. It's simple if you'll open your eyes. Keep them closed and you may be the next to feel the wrath of the drug warriors.

hmm, the op has a point though..
talking with people that are against marijuana.
calling it cannabis to them, has a good point.
so im not viewed as a terrible marihuana smoker or lazy potsmoker, i use cannabis for my illness.
cannabis is my medicine..

though the only real point to that, is that we are dealing with idiots..
but,,,we are living with those idiots, it has its harms, but we can also take advantage of that, same as the fuckers, just do it more nice so we get the idiots on our side.
though, since the idiots are fewer and fewer and mostly old and deaf of mind... we really just have to wait and ignore them..
doesnt really matter what a idiot thinks, (unless you are alone with a bunch of them and no way to get out of there, i guess..(though its rather relatively simple to keep idiots calm)

I don't think the name is as bad as the image. Folks imagine peeps not doing anything positive because of smoking weed. They don't see young and middle aged professionals taking care of their everyday lives, they see somebody smoking weed... every day. Oh the shame of it. Same folks that drink or take pain pills every day, always gotta point their finger at somebody else.
