UBC Chemo and the likes?

Trying to get some more info on this strain or its off shoots.

I can get my hands on cutting of what the person calls "chemo". He says its a cut only strain and this strain is about 30 years old and was never from seed. Its not a normal looking plant and at times grows three branches.

Are there any particular requirements to grow this strain to its fullest. PH/PPM/Media?

big eater(assumption, I don't over feed my plants), really fucking thick woody stalks, decent to shitty yielder depending on how much time you spend getting to know her.

Massive leaves the size of both my hands, so for me in SOG they were a pain in the ass they were so big. Clones kinda slow if you don't get the cut from really fresh growth.

Mites don't like it too much.

I grow in soil only so I can't comment on PPMS or whatever, but she is a middle of the road feeder and I don't remember ever burning her so I probably could have pushed it a lot harder than I did.

hope it helps. Woody thick stalks and massive leaves are the tell tale trait that means it's legit.

it's good medicine for those looking for that "dick in the dirt" kinda stoned.

Dont buy seeds from these scam artists.

If you have the real original UBC chemo, spread her around as much as you can, especially to medical growers!!!!

Part of the deal is that this person doesn't want me to let it out, I was surprised he actually decided to let me have a cutting.

This will probably be just hobby strain that I'll grow just for fun.

It really upsets me to see people hoarding strains.

You should explain to your friend that the strain belongs to the universe, not to him.
The benefit received by the entire medical community, would be immense, if he were to share it with the medical community.
But instead more people will suffer without the best possible meds, because of greedy people.
It should be noted that anyone that made seeds from the original UBC mother, have never found offspring that matched the original in potency.

Every time I see a hoarder, hoarding an elite cut, he/she is crying 2 years later, cause they managed to lose her. LOL

As far as I know UBC chemo was a med strain originating at the University Of British Columbia. Its a classic med strain, was devised for cancer patients, to alleviate nausea, and pain. But Green Supreme would know a lot more on the history.

It was avalible from legends -I think yrs n yrs ago . I just got 40 F2's from that other site in Canada for 80.00 a while back - Thanks Brad . But I havent poped any yet though .

Its available in seed form from HD in canada. Everything mexilandrace said is bullseye. Fat, stout with leaves to big for it. I forced fed her without harm.

Its not grown much anymore. Federation seeds sold it for years and years but they discontiued it about a year or so ago. The site mentioned picked the strain up and is offereing it for sale for nastalga i guess. There so many fancy chemmy sour dawgy type strains that the old timers dont get a lot of play.

the UBC Chemo was developed by Dr.David Suzuki,circa' l8' 60's.it is said 2 b a Thai x Afghani of some sort,then changed 2 polyploid(supergrass).reminds me a bit of G-13,low odour,leafy,heavy knock out stone.Dr.Greenthumb has a few x's that sound really good)(Columbian,OG Kush Ghost)

So if this one has been from clone for 30 or so years its could be the actual chemo or very close to it. We'll see when I get it.
