Got up at 7am this morning and smoked some gdp which put me right back down. So on my second WnB flavor of the day its Lifesaver.

Hey everyone, happy Saturday. I have to work tomorrow, hopefully I'll be feeling better by noon. Nicely stoned at the moment though and listening to the live album "Pulse" by Pink Floyd, from their 1994 tour. Probably gonna drink a couple of Oktoberfest beers later, cook myself a decent meal, and take a nap. Thanks for the well wishes budbasket and tricho.

The Rogan show last night was really good! Duncan Trussell was the opening comic and he was hilarious! Got to say, I was really surprised by the amount of time he was on stage. It was a lot of fun, hope I get to see him again soon!

Im super low on the herbs so not sure how much ill be toking up the next few days. Gonna go enjoy a little hash now. Have a good day enjoying college football!

Morning everyone! Feeling almost back to normal, just gotta cough shit up now. I can't even begin to go into how amazing the vineyard was yesterday. I've just gotten more and more frustrated with the lack of professionalism in our industry and coupled with being illegal everywhere still it's kinda turning me off from wanting to make a profession out of it. At least to solely rely on it as a form of income. I don't see any co-ops or dispensaries wanting to take students for interns like every other accepted industry in the nation but that's another rant for another time. All I have to decide now is if I want to go to California, Napa Valley or any of the hundreds of regions in France, or Spain. I was talking to one of the people who just got back from their intern there(france) and he said that the industry is actually on a decrease there because the younger generation isn't drinking as much wine. Go figure. Anyways have a good day everyone, if I watch any football today I am gonna have to go down to one of the bars.-basket

budbasket- hope your feeling better man. If i may suggest, if your looking into the canna industry in norcal and also looking into viticulture, their are a few really nice places that cater to both of those industries. Santa rosa, sebastapol, napa, lake county, mendocino county ect...there are lots of wineries and lots of growers up here. If sure with the right ammount of time and connections you make over time, you would be doing what you wanted out here pretty quickly. Im not sure if your in CA but if not i suggest a quick tour of these areas over a week or so. Make appointments at vineyards, get your recc also. There is a club in Mendocino that will actually train people to get into this field. Also its such a big term "industry", and so many different jobs and skill sets required for each. If your into growing you can go that way, or if you want to work other fields like broker, trimmer, hasher, trimmer, budtender ect. Most jobs in CA are not at clubs. Most are on the farm or on the road. You start at the bottom usually at a new place regardless of experience b/c in this industry trust is just as important as skill imo. And you can usually trust, when someone works there way up, that they have the desire and commitment to be in this field.

I also agree that it's full of horrible horrible people. And also some of the most awesome ive met at well!

Not sure if your into school still but many of the community colleges up here have viticulture programs that are actually very good and usually with that type of program you meet so many people its easy to network with like minded people.

But on the bright side, the wife and I are just about done a 2 month reno on a gorgeous ravine setting house we bought. Stoked to move in!

Hey all, good morning. I normally don't wake 'n bake on days I have to work but I'm still under the weather, so what the hell? Besides, I don't have to work for another hour and a half. Just listening to a sixties mix at the moment (Dylan, the Doors, Jefferson Airplane, etc.) and preparing myself to deal with the general public for five hours (something I haven't done since early 2008).

Well, I'll check in later, gotta get ready for work and get that shit out of the way eventually.

I've actually already finished the community college route with an associates and am now working on my bachelors in horticulture. I am about as far away from the Cali lifestyle as possible but I am making it work. I am gonna be printing off that old icmag article comparing wine/fine cannabis and show it to one of my professors. I admitted once to her already that I am specifically going to school to one day grow medicinal/recreational/whatever the laws call it. I am just working now on convincing the people around here that regardless of whats happening in my state, gardening and the like are blowing up just a few hour drive away.

The key I have found is to work your ass off and show that your better/as good as any of these other preppie and redneck assholes(i don't have anything against either party just saying it like it is) and not a dumb ass stoner, then people start to take you seriously. It's all in perception. I used to have hair down to my back, when it was wet, and would wear baggie clothes/band tees all the time. I am not saying there's anything wrong with dressing like that but once you start trimming the hair and wearing basketball shorts/sports t-shirts, the way society perceives you is in a completely new light. I am the nerdy person in glasses sitting in the front row taking as many notes as possible. I don't try to make friends, I am just here for an education and to show that just because people smoke pot doesn't and shouldn't make them a criminal.

Oh yeah I forgot to tell ya guys I did a grape stomp yesterday too, it was really fun. Nothing big just a couple small buckets the owners daughter and I stomped, got a bottle of family stock afterwards so that's cool. There are just so many similarities between the two industries that I think that's one reason I am ready to just jump over. And again the wine route will for sure get me into any of the med states I would wanna move too. Just to not have to worry about my personnel garden would be so amazing, it sucks losing sleep over a a few small plants knowing I am looking at serious time in prison and am not even making money off it. Oh well, stay safe and stay medicated everyone-basket

Morning everyone, got a nice personnel stash of a couple oz at least. Hopefully will make it through the next 2 weeks, haha. Some really really nice C99, haven't smoked any in awhile. Usually let her go 10 weeks, might have taken this one 9. It's almost like speeed if taken around 49-52 but the really yield blows up around day 56 and keeps packing on from there. Id post pics but all I got is a cell and I am really un easy about posting pics still. Hope no one has a case of the mondays, I am feeling pretty good today, hopefully it will be a wonderful day.-basket

Puff puff. What a beautiful weekend it was. A bit on the chilly side here but perfect besides that. The plants love the cooler temps anyways. I'm gonna try to have the ac's turned off 10/1. Just gotta start venting the lights outside again and we should be okay with temps.
