Other forums usually without any CFL growers or minority, usually just say that with cfl's you cant pull any good yields, none of them have seen blynx's grows, they are amazing.

I started a thread on something, and someone said that i would get 2-3 grams with a 10L pot and a 125w CFL 2700k on one autoflower because CFL'S are rubbish, and micro grows are a waste of time.

I'm pretty sure i can get 10g-20g first time with cfl's as i will be concentrating on one plant, and my grow cab is fairly good.

Why do people hate on CFL's? they can produce excellent results
even with low watts.

There will always be haters, no matter what the subject is. Let it roll of your back and do whatever you think is best for your situation. Hell I wish I was in a position to grow more than a couple plants at a time, but I can't right now so it's small cabs and cfl's. Like you said, there are some really amazing grows out there using cfl's.

Post your grow over there too, it doesn't matter what anyone but you thinks. The other cfl guys will probably be grateful for the new target lol. Just kidding, but I'm sure they could help you out there as well. Good luck and grow safe

I went with a 150HPS, thinking HID made a diff with small bulbs. Since then I have my doubts. I've seen nice yields with CFL, and PL-L. The bigger HIDs are tough to beat but CFL is fine for cab grows. Especially if you can get the canopy as close to the bulb(s) as possible. Best wishes.

when the haters show up you must be doing something right. post em up and fuck da haters. does it really matter what light the plant was grown under? so long as the plant is grown to maturity and you get high off your supply, wtf does hid pll cfl matter?

I read your other threads. You might want to ditch the intake fan. Your cab will run cooler with exhaust fan only.

I also read you have a 4" exhaust fan. You need two intake holes the same size as exhaust (no fans). If you're still having trouble getting temps below 85, you'll need more exhaust, ie a bigger fan.

You not only need a minimum of ~50cfm to cool your cab, the fan has to be strong enough to work with the carbon filter. In some cases, you might need 80cfm or more to net the necessary cooling power.

You might get away with both fans as exhaust. I doubt they would drive a scrubber very well. Growers sometimes get used to minimal stink. A neighbor or visitor might know what's up. A good fan and scrubber keeps this from happening.

Yo thanks for the replies but i've started a new grow..

I plan to do my first SUCCESSFUL grow with a stealth cab i have made, the dimensions will be 65cm H x 45cm W x 35cm D

The inside of my stealth cab has been covered in aluminium tape ( creased ) for reflective and as it retains the light ( better than duct tape )

The ventilation will either be two exhaust fans, or one intake HOLE and one artic f8 exhaust fan

The lighting will be one 125W CFL 2700k

The nutrients will be just plain old tomato feed

The soil and pot will be a 7.5L food container with drainage holes, and either new horizons multi purpose compost or john innes?

I will have not have alot of room height wise to grow so alot of LST will be used

I will be growing an AUTOFLOWER ( FAST BUD FROM SWEET SEEDS! )

Lighting schedule will be on 18/6 throughout the grow

Looking for a yield of 15-20g really, nothing more

That's it really, will update more.

WAITT ..

SOIL : LEVINGTONS MULTI PURPOSE SOIL WITH JOHN INNES
POT : 10L POT!

I better not tell them about my halogen experiments then...

I would like to say that since investing in an HPS setup I am seeing larger buds. However, it seems like they had a better stone under my above setup. I made a number of changes though so I can't say for certain it was the light. Time will tell.

Ignore the hate there is too much of it in the world. It does little good for anyone but the hater releasing the toxic buildup they have accumulated inside.

You can rock with one intake hole. It just needs to approximate 2x exhaust. Your cab develops static pressure against the exhaust fan and 2x intake compensates for this.

A 4" hole is 12.56 cubic inches. Your passive intake will need to approximate 26 cubic inches to work effectively. With this in mind (for two 4" exhaust fans) you'd need four 4" passive intakes or approximately 52 sq inches. But your fans only move 26cfm so you might get away with 26 sq in of intake. Try fewer first and add if necessary.

You could stack two pc fans together in the same exhaust hole. You won't get more cfm but your exhaust would withstand higher static pressure.

A smaller fan with a high static pressure, instead of a slow 120mm with all the cfm's, but no pressure to get much air moving through the carbon medium.

well im a hps guy and i do all my veg under cfl i can slam the lights down and get so many stacked nodes blow mh out the water for veg unless your in huge set up hell even if i was pumping 5k i think id still be vegging under cfl they rock

Rock what ya got/can afford.

Beats spending good money on seedy/moldy schwag, or waiting for some bag pinching dip shit that may or may not show up.

And it surely beats paying big bucks for shit that's no better than your own.
