Hashman- sweet effort! You're running a number of selections that I have been comtemplating for next year. Please keep us informed of your thoughts about the various strains, and how they worked out for you.

And any more pics are always appreciated- especially of that Blackwater!

Exclusive... I will take a pic of the deadhead and post it next week. Its a monster... Its budding well, but not as much as others. I predict it will start packing on serious weight later in its life cycle, much like its mom the 91 chem. We will see, and I have high hopes for it. I only have 1 of 10 in the garden this year, as I was very selective with my choices this year... other hybrids offered more vigorous selections consistently IME, but i only cracked 10, so I may be a bit off in my judgement...

I have a good collection from them running at the moment and i have found the Deadhead to be less vigorous than most of the others. I am going to start a little grow log but for sure the Blackwater is running away with it out of the gate.

Awesome plants though man. I'll be watching. :tiphat:

How'd the Black Water do? The Mendo Purps is an animal out door.

Looking for a bit of advice for the end of this years outdoor season.

Spider mites snuck up on me a bit more then I would have liked. The effected plants are still growing/budding strong, but the infestation is quite heavy. The plants are large and bushy, I cleaned them out as much as possible, and I have currently been hosing them down with plain water every couple days to help dislodge the mites. Its a sativa hybrid that has about 30-35 days left, chance of mold or bud rot is very slim due to the structure of the bud.

Although I have been wondering if when I spray them down, if I not only dislodge the spider mites, but maybe I am also dislodging any predator mites that have found the garden to feast. In turn not helping the situation.

Any advice or tips are welcome and appreciated.

Thanks,
Mr^^

I would keep doing what you are doing. The outdoor weather may do you a favor soon. When the overnight temps drop, the mite action will curtail. Im getting hit by whiteflies in a couple of my gardens. I stopped using Azamax a couple weeks ago

Trinity Gold- the blackwater is vigorous in veg. I have 3 in the garden this year and they are some of the biggest. I grew one indoors and it was heat, bit not the purple pheno I was wishing for.

Nomaad- decided not to keep any cuts for two reasons. I have been very busy and limited om time to commit to another room. Also, I have lots of seeds and am looking forward on growing them out next year. Using hindsight I should have kept my favorite urkulan, corleone, and sweetest cindy.

I would have kept clones for you bro! I have been keeping shit alive for my off-grid homies since I started growing. Think about it for next year.

Did you get to try my Nancy Botwin last season? That was some amazing smoke. Smallest, slowest vegging plant I ran in 2010, but the nug was something else.

Hope to see you in the off-season to trade jars. You're killing it, man. Keep up the good work.

Whats up guys. Looking good everyone!
Here is my SSSDH. Not my biggest plant but it grows some of the largest buds I've ever seen. Last year it's seed mom had tops the size of two pringles cans stacked on top of eachother and fatter than the thickest part of my arm. It's my favorite daytime smoke and is very special to me.

Some very cool weather on the way. Nights in the mid 40's days as low as 70. Anybody doing anything to prepare?

I am going to hit them with Silica and B's to the roots in the next watering.

Hey Nommad,how's things?
Funny how it went from 100's to 70 degrees so fast. I'll just be cutting back on water appropriately and trying to keep plants cleaned up on the insides. I get the feeling were in for a nice dry fall,or at least I hope.
Happy farming guys.

Things are. And I choose to be content. :)

I am hoping for that dry Autumn you presage. lots of people saying the same thing... wishful thinking? who knows.

We lost a big plant the other day. The entire plant just shut down. One day it was perfect and the next it was dead. Different from the other problems we've had where a plant kind of slowly shrivels and yellows, but continues to live and develop. With about five weeks to go, if we were to lose a single plant like that per week we'd still be within the realm of acceptable losses. It would suck hard, but... that's farming.

If losses stay where they are we'll be right where we have been in past harvests...
