Buy a cheap acoustic guitar. Learn a few chords. It's surprisingly relaxing. Don't put it in a case and shove it in the closet, get a stand and put it where you can see it, so when you get the urge to play, it's right there.

It requires no power, no cables, nothing but your hands.

And what you get out of it is exactly what you put into it.

And if you think it's too difficult, I saw a guy with no arms play a song with his freaking feet.

Take a class, learn a skill. Workout, get in shape/off your ass. I was just about to get a (free) Aerogarden and start some flowers/legal gardening lol. Tulips, roses, orchids idk. salvia even. Unfortunately I didn't get it for free on CL. Instrument is also good, or video games lol. I have a hard time with the same man, don't even get me started, although lately instead of drugs//drinking I'm aiming for something more productive lol
