yeah, speaking of out of control indoor gardens...

i found a tribe of headhunters who had never seen a white fella before living deep beneath the canopy, several of the men were lost deep in the sticky depths of the dtc99 jungles....

i actually turned the swamp cooler off, been on for 2 months or more 24/7...

very nice unc....I'm stuck at home today in the rain. Decided to start harvesting that long flowering Cleveland Sage....she could have been chopped last week or it could keep going along for another week, or maybe even two. I have the time now....so....I started harvesting her bottoms....if I run out of energy....I'll finish chopping her another day.

I'll be bailing the pit out again this evening....then plan to move the other 2 plants back in there.

Bucket of bottoms....

Bucket of bottoms....

starting down low/off the sides....see how far I get this afternoon...my slow ass trimming procrastinating ways....maybe I get done....maybe I do not

This will be a really Bluey smoke....

T

THE PABLOS

you mean you dont like trimming for 10 hours at a time?

....lol....I can hardly take it for 10 minutes. Here's some flowers out of the above bucket.

I didn't even finish what was in the bucket...I'm over it for the day...I'll harvest the rest of the plant later....maybe this weekend...whenever I have the time. Those kinds of expressions have several harvest windows...and honestly...it doesn't make a huge difference in the overall finish.

Trips me out when peeps get so crazy on cloudy vs amber vs clear glands....she is cloudy with some ambers at 103 days flower....I don't reckon her high or flavor will be much different at 115 days or 120 days, but I'm sure she can go that distance if I let her. It's a matter of convenience when she gets fully taken down....in a blind test...I doubt I could tell the difference in gland maturity. After a while I have to call bullshit....

"If you build your garden in a pit....beware of monsoonal flow"

Nothing like wearing the green lighted head lamp and bailing out water with a 5gal bucket. The "Runt" had enough weight to stay in place...can't say the same for the Revolver and the Bramble. I found them floating...un-righted....in 6"s of water. Had to pull off a middle-of-the-night rescue. They seem little worse for wear.

I've slept little in the past 3 days....heat and waves of storm have kept me busy.

Damn! Of course it couldn't rain during the afternoon, had to be in the middle of the night. Mother nature isn't without a sense of humor, cruel as it may sometimes be.

In my experience it depends on the plant. If I let a Sister go 70 days instead of 65, no big difference in smoke or scope. I don't worry if it comes down at day 65 or 68, convenience plays a big part. But Diesel or Bubba +/- 5 days is a sea change. Much tighter window on those to get them at the certain sweet spot, IMHO.

....Yes I agree. I should be careful how I blast off at the mouth....it is expression/strain dependent on harvest windows. I'm not a gland watcher though....more...I'm observant to what the plant is saying....her time of dying dance. I do look in the loop on occasion because...well...I'm a stoner, and like to look at stuff. Mostly I use my loop for sexing and checking gland damage from bathing plants ('cause I believe they like to be bathed...especially in my 'White Fly Ultimate Resort' where I grow great populations of fly)....

Indeed some plants have a very narrow window...some you can push push push, but they never seem to get better...some a few days does much for. I don't really know....can't say...as in my style of growing I get usually but one run. I do see the same expressions over and over time, however....I get familiar in that way...learn about expression harvest windows....

I'll say this....on BBS expression: they can go a long long ways in flush. There are many windows to harvest them in...and multi harvesting over a couple weeks is almost ideal....if you have space and time. The plants can go forever. I think the plant on the cover of Short's book was kept going for an extended time for photo purposes....she was probably in her 5th window....lol...seriously...they slow to a crawl...drinking hardly at all...but are happy to keep going. They become house plants easily.

***I ripped too much of that SFV x Ghost X Ghost in a joint...my head is a bit torn off at the moment....really good smoke...flavor is evolving in the jars. Top Shelf high.

EDIT: I'm back under clear skies...have the pit cleaned up....that pit is kind of dangerous...stakes + fences + deep holes + darkness + rain = it ain't set up to be no kind of cake walk...defensive onslaught...damn mine field of obstacles ....I know the course... and still.... almost fucked myself up...trotting with a plant in the storm aftermath 1/2 awake....

your always going balls to the wall and your girls look awsome as usual.

sorry to hear mother nature is making you work even harder but would a boat bilge pump or an overflow pipe work for when you get the downpours?

Whoa, don't end it in a pit of pot plants and pungi sticks. That sounds freakin grim. :noway:

I like your analysis of telling when a plant is finished. Sometimes their smell changes radically when the plant decides it's time. I have trouble with the girls that foxtail. Half the plant is done when the rest wants to start over.

Back from Black Out

Back from Black Out

....not too big a deal.

Look at this partially mutated Cindy Moon Jones....early- flower-pita- to- control...mess of a structure....I dislike growing these in my set up, as I can never do them justice...I expect less than a spectacular result on a couple of these.

Cindy Moon Jones= Blue Moonshine X Cindy Jones

This motherfucker....sheeeeeet....this motherfucker, and her sisters....Wipe Out man.

Wipe Out= Mikado X I-HOP Grape Krush

I-HOP Grape Krush= SCreme'n Dawg F2 X Grape Krush

I have a few of these....they are very tough to control. My flower studio is totally fucked. I love this cross though....feeling like I'm going to see something unique. The genetics are hooking up in ways I didn't exactly see////////I have a special place in my heart and jars for the Mikado mama....liked the high, aroma, and flavor. I still have nuggets of her from last spring.

This Wipe Out cross is going to be better than the mom....that's what I'm thinking. I'm hoping to work this cross back into a Raspberry phenotype Mikado. I'm on the hunt presently....looking for Mikado expressions...feelers are out...P is interested in Canadian genetics again////////////////////////////

heehee, get some of that highland mex in there and have a nafta party!

I know it.....speaking of Highland Mex....I'll snap some pix of that Prudence Highland later on....I started blasting her with sun again...had had her in only partial sun for the last week...think she is in her 2nd wk of flush.....pretty sweet plant.

Expecting storms Sunday-Wednesday.....back to bailing the pit....but... I'll be better prepared this time around. Heat/Black Outs/Thunder Storms......totally enjoying the ride...pulling out all my tricks...all my skills....to stay in the sweet spot. This is what growing is all about...how good you are standing tall in the pocket.....making calls

im shutting down myself...ll is selling the house so im heading west for outdoor season to trim for a bit...

Change. Well....hope you find your way to a new grow.

Here's the Prudence Highland going back into aspected...high % sun hours. Flushing in her 2nd week...starting to get the purple on the leaves (the mom...Prudence could go all way purps)....very much a more busty version of the mama....the aroma is on the purple side of the spectrum...syrupy sweet jam....flowers are like stones

I've been taking her in for the last week....but I will now leave her out to gather some cooler night temps....aid in the art of coloring her in.... flush her fat and proper.

This is one of my better crosses.... doesn't end up on the cutting room floor. There is good stuff in here.

On the menu....

On the menu....

This is the stuff that we were smoking through the power out...harvested this phenotype of Jessica Lang at 67 days flower...5 days or so in the jar. Off the vine...amazing flavor...sugary/twangy/berry...the high is mellow....not super potent...lazy/sleepy....chill weed. ***Most likely influenced by the Blue Satellite 2.2 used in Satechism. Love the flavor.

Jessica Lang= Satechism X Faye Dunaway

Faye Dunaway= Chem DD X Cindy Jones

Satechism= Casey Jones X Blue Satellite 2.2

Finished harvesting the BBS phenotype of Cleveland Sage...here's a look at her spear....foxed out....top. Those are overgrown Zucchini I harvested for seed in the background.

Dry....jar....cure....see how we did.

***off the BBS plant I found 15-20 beans (so far). The pops of those beans would be the SFV x Ghost X Ghost....some dust from the little accidental pollination. I thought she might have gotten hit with little dust....in this case...a very good thing. I'll save those....call the cross "Cleveland Ghost"....not the 1st time BBS expression has been blended to OG Kush (OG x BS2.2 for example)...but....in this case I have hands on knowledge of the all important mommy....and....a versatile blended OG Kush pops. I'd be confident in finding positive pathways.

Good to know about the BBS expression. Soon I'm gonna dedicate some time & energy to digging through the Blue pool. I've got some Blue Sat 2.2's to start with. I have a Blueberry cut that I love, euphoric high that sends me floating. I could just lay around and listen to music all day. Not something to have around when I need to be productive.

Prudence Highland looks great. The menu looks like it's got some good options too. :D

Digging....having the time/plants to dig through is essential for any project. I shoot straight when I say:

" Blue lines are not the easiest lines to pull trophy expressions out of. In outcrossing with the Blues....I advise coming from the male side. I have shit canned many expressions that are routinely found in Blue beans...but....there are many good profiles once you hook into them right. My favorite Blues are found in outcrosses."

Damn! That Prudence Highland looks might fine!

We're having a beautiful day today. Maybe the last summer day for the year. Gonna enjoy it outdoors :)

My jars are almost empty, but soon to be filled again with new, hopefully exciting, stuff. Cheers and best wishes for all the brothers in green!

Thanks man. The Prudence Highland....she is a very good one. There is nothing about the individual plant expression not to like. Smells better than she looks....and....she structurally...and cultivation wise is nothing to scoff at. She'll yield well...not showing any signs of sensitivity. Real easy plant to grow, and make happy.

Believe the Highland Mex in her genetics....added vigor...don't see the Flo, Chem DD, or Blueberry.....nope...what I see....is the Querkle mom on steroids. Fine with me....the Querkle mom was a primo smoke. The Querkle mom was a keeper in all regards...turned into quite the "Great Mama"....as time, and plants go by...I see this much clearer. Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth.

I want to do a separate run of Prudence Highland....make the inline into the next generation. Honestly though....if I were the cloning type....I'd clone this plant. The smoke will be killer....everyone that has seen her in person (smells her) is blown away....plus....she is a pretty good production plant./////////////////////////////////

I....myself...have been woken from slumber by a very warm/stiff east wind. Weather system is moving in.....at least 10 degrees warmer then when I went to bed. Having my coffee and a joint....getting ready for what may be coming this way. I see dry lightening over the ridge...this kind of weather can bring fire with it.

FILL THOSE JARS
